  1. I would pay less for a modded car than a stock one , irrelevant on who did the work .
  2. All Huracan’s will depreciate , they will follow the same footsteps as the Gallardo , too many made
  3. No after market modified car anything , doesn’t matter who did the modification .
  4. Tough to sandbag these days, IMSA has access to live data, at the roar they parked a couple of cars for this specific reason
  5. I have had enough of the childish arguments on this thread , especially you derpurf trying arguing for the sake of it . Bottom line is , all these lap are inconsequential in the real world . What is obvious is that the 720s is a total beast in straight line acceleration and handles very respectably , and so the other cars . The half second or sexond advantage on any given track should not be the determining factor in the purchase of any of these cars in my opinion , all of them are plenty fast and quite frankly I highly doubt more than a couple of people on this board Would come close the the time achieved on the selected tracks . With 30 years racing experience , it would most probably take me 10 practice laps per car to start doing hot laps and unless all cars are tested the same day with same tires and weather conditions , the tests will be flawed . My conclusion is , buy the super car that turns you on for you style of driving and don’t pay too much attention to the real time circus going on , odds are you will never be able to duplicate it The lap times anytime soon None of these supercars have terrible flaws , the engineering is magnificent in all the them. Enjoy them and if are buying for speculation or appreciation potential, your wasting you time, the bar has been significantly raised for collectibles
  6. It isn’t like I have a choice , par for the course when you own rare cars
  7. Something did go wrong . The owner got bent over
  8. Motor is now ready, finally got parts. The final assembly should be pretty fast, i would say the car will be on the road by May at latest
  9. Another example of can't teach stupid , let them cool their heels in jail .
  10. So this why I always thought political threads are a bad idea and we did allow this one to go on for a while , and sure enough , my concerns became reality . Democrat , republican , communist , etc , the forum is about cars , so the experiment failed as the emotions are running high on both sides . The end result , I am locking the thread and there will be no further political threads
  11. Guys Correct me if I am wrong , theoretically , is there not capital gains tax on a car in the US if you sell it at a profit ?
  12. March or April i will bd in France , then end of summer , my daughter is getting married in June
  13. I have been too much work and not enough play, will put an end to all of that soon as my projects are coming very close to completion and i plane to take it easy forever after that, time is running out on me to have fun, will be 60 soon.
  14. I agree with you but it is a variation of the same theme , why not go for something radical and keep what you have.
  15. I think it is a total waste of money for you to get a newer version . You won’t be able to tell the difference in performance and what you have right now is just perfect , to spend the xtra money for a revised version of your present car is silly in my opinion
  16. I have restored many cars over the years , it adds up quite fast and 300k nowadays seems to be a conservative figure for a total resto . So at 600k , a reengineered 911 is a bargain , at 1.5mil it is stupidity in my opinion but then again , if people are willing to pay the premium , who is to say who is right and who is wrong . As far as the motor , I cannot understand how anyone would pay 750k for a push rod motor if indeed that is the correct figure , irrelevant in who engineered the motor or built it
  17. Tell me you are kidding
