  1. You're all talking about the nav implementation but i have no idea what i'm looking at! Someone explain what it does and why it's a big deal please!
  2. It's going to sell like hot cakes. Fact! I am just saying after having an LP560 and doing 15k in it over 2 years i'm at a stage where i'd want something more special unless i was going to daily one again where this will be absolutely perfect for the task.
  3. Yup. They're trading at 205-210 from what i hear. Chaos - that's how i felt - lovely car but underwhelmed. It's just not that much of a step forward compared to the LP560. I wanted something radical - a Lamborghini. This is just too safe to appease the masses and order books.
  4. The ask VS actual sales price are two entirely different things as we all know.
  5. I saw it in person Fridat night at the London preview. The model was standard gloss white. Not a great color for it. Some snap shot thoughts: It's a small Porsche like evolution; It looks great, the interior is far better. Seats much more supportive, steering wheel was nice. Air vents were tacky. It sounds exactly the same as the LP560 on start up. Same exact exhaust tips. Didn't like the rear view mirror, seemed a funny shape. Rear visibility not as good as LP560. Front screen is not curved at all - it feels larger and further away from you than the LP560. Engine bay looks nice with forged carbon. Trunk is smaller than the LP. Now has front and rear sensors which i missed on my LP560. No LED light package in the engine bay. More space behind the seats and there is actually a centre console storage area now. Push button start gimmicky but looks cool along with the new dash layout. Pop out handles were functional. Engine itself looked very similar, i'm curious to see how it drives and i did laugh at the big deal they made out about the drivability of the new double clutch during the presentation - saying it's great, light and easy to use and blah blah blah. I feel like they should have had this system in the Aventador (for better or worse) upon it's launch and still don't believe that they ideally wanted the single clutch in it as opposed to not wanting to or rather being able to develop it within the VW group so that it could share costs etc - there was no place for one that could have been used elsewhere at that output. I may be wrong but that's just my personal opinion. Overall: after 10 years i wanted to be blown away by the replacement LP. Instead, they've simply given it a small evolution in terms of looks and technology and in my opinion have played it safe so that sales continue as they did with the LP - to be the most popular and successful Lamborghini made. There is a downside to this though: i was not blown away and i have no desire to own the car, especially at it's price point. A loaded one here will be 220k and that's 15k short of a 1 year old Aventador. Pretty much every one of the 5 people i attended with agreed on this point. They just haven't done enough to make pre-existing buyers go gaga over it in my opinion. Would i buy one over anything else in the mid-range super car segment it competes in new? Yes. Would I buy one new against a 1 year old exotic of a different price range that's done some depreciation? I very much doubt it.
  6. Not a fan tbh. Yellow vert best i've seen so far!
  7. Hehe! I love it - so much character, the torque is incredible, sound is immense and the whole experience so analogue in today's world of supercars that it's a true gem! The steering is pretty light and doesn't have the best feel out there but it's a minor critique as everything else is so sublime it makes little difference. The car does get a load of attention - far more than my old LP560 and more so than any of my other cars, but that may be because there's less than 50 in the whole of the UK and that's being generous - there were only 28 official imports or something. Overall it's a load of fun. I've put on about 400 miles so far, unfortunately the car really needs a freeway to stretch it's legs - i have hardly got out of third gear here in London!
  8. You just couldn't let me out do you on it could you? Your garage is literally my dream right now bar the S8.
  9. Wow you guys have it good over there! I am paying just under the equivalent of $1000 a month for $4 mil coverage.
  10. Any contacts in the UK? I'm looking for a new mattress.
  11. Follow him on IG - he's doing nicely for himself...
  12. White is not the colour for this car.
  13. Apples and oranges... It's a monster: I can't get over how easy it is to drive compared to other supercars. Aside from it's sheer size it's comfortable, not jerky when accelerating in low gears and is very happy in second at 30mph or so in traffic where the LP560 was always slightly jerky and felt highly strung. When you put your foot down in the FGT...wow it's crazy - the torque makes a huge difference versus 99% of other stock supercars as it's effortless! There's an aftermarket exhaust which is an accufab one and it's mega, the burble off throttle is hilarious - just makes me laugh out loud! Phenomenal car and i can see why it has a cult following amongst owners. Very glad i didn't go for the Aventador Roadster to be honest, think this is more fun for me at this point.
  14. Hehehehe! Thanks Luis! Who cares?!
  15. My latest purchase: 2007 (uk date of registration) FGT with all four options. It's stock for now bar an accufab exhaust, which sounds epic. The car is huge on UK roads and pulling out of junctions requires caution but i'm sure i'll get used to it! The car is absolutely stunning, can't wait to drive it tomorrow! Super sexy key…replacing that with an aftermarket one stat!
  16. Mine arrives in 2 days!!!
  17. Nope, picking mine up on Sat
