    Top Gear

I don't know how real this is, but according the internets Top Gear has a budget of about $500k/episode (without host salaries). With Amazon and The Grand Tour they'll get about $4.5 MM (with host salaries I guess). Let's say 2 of those millions go to the hosts, and they're left with five times the budget of Top Gear. It will be quite a feat to make something worse than the new Top Gear with that kind of resources and the same producer as before.
  2. Some amazing fights last night, even the first fight of the night was a barn burner! And respect to Hendo, that old man is a legend. He should retire like he said he might, he's got nothing more to prove.
  3. So... who's next? Muhammad Ali?
  4. Never any problems here. Are all the computers you've tested located on the same network?

Zero chemistry and awful delivery of lines imo. Evans is trying too hard and acts really awkward with the audience, LeBlanc doesn't seem to try at all. With the old crew the script and jokes felt natural for the characters, now it just feels forced. Especially since much of Evans' is written like they would for Clarkson.
  6. I know, and I meant to sit on it for 10 years initially, which would mean selling it next month! But I was in the process of building a house a couple of years ago, and needed the cash from the car to put in. So if I kept it I would not have my house, so I'm not really regretting it too much. I knew the second I decided to sell it that I would regret it soon... I still sold it for more than I bought it for though

    Tesla...

I'm in the same boat, but frankly it isn't because I'm especially attached to Tesla, it's because there is NO other option for a long range electric DD.

Maybe it keeps up with a regular Model S 90D now?

    Tesla...

The thing is that electric cars in general are terrible. They are either gas cars converted to electric with useless range (like eGolf), or ugly cars with useless range (like the Leaf). This is not because the concept of electric cars is bad, but every manufacturers attempt at it is half assed at best. Except for Tesla, they go all the way in terms of range, design and new technology. It's not just the fact that the car is fantastic to drive, but that the car gets new features over the air and literally gets better over time. All established manufacturers are stuck in an old analog mindset, while Tesla has embraced the possibilities of the digital age. The others are starting to realize this, but man are they slow. In the Jota I could really feel every vibration of the engine through my spine when I floored it. A fantastic feeling no doubt, it feels as if the car is alive. But I really don't need this in my daily driver, I would much rather have a 3 sec 0-60 car that's practically maintenance free and have cowbells and rainbow roads.

    Tesla...

The front is weird on all of them (S, X and ≡). Side and rear profiles are good, but they haven't cracked the "no-grille" code quite yet.

    Tesla...

Not strange at all... We are in the midst of an automotive revolution, and most Lamborghini enthusiasts are very interested in cars in general. When all three models, S, ≡ and X are in production they will hopefully reveal a pure electric sports car. My guess is that at least by 2025 0-200 km/h will be completely dominated by electric super cars.

I think people misinterpret this, the autopilot hardware is standard, along with all the safety features (auto break, lane-departure warning, sign recognition etc). Auto steer, traffic aware cruise control, auto park, auto lane change etc will be extra (and can be activated after purchase). I really hope the dashboard is under development though, looked really plain and unfinished now.

Agree mate! I'll just order it in the comfort of my office chair, I don't get the obsession of being a sheep in a line.

Here to... I'm not eager to get the first batch myself though, so I'll just reserve it when it becomes available online.

    Tesla...

This is make or break for Tesla, what the whole company was set up to do. A usable electric car for the masses, with looks and performance that match or exceeds gasoline competitors. The M3 is set to combat the BMW 3 and Audi A4 segment, and I think they will succeed in most areas. I think it will look like Model S' futuristic little brother. Not too out there though, just some natural evolution of the design. If it looks nothing like the S or X I will be very surprised, hopefully for the better... Being from Norway, Tesla's second biggest market after the US, I see a few culprits though. The most pressing being the 4-5-6 MONTH wait time to get service. They have not been able to handle the service requirements here, and with the M3 being the model for the masses, they will reach 12 months+ wait time unless they radically fix their service center arrangement. They do handle emergency incidents rapidly though, but for a regular service or a complaint about something, they are sloooow. Anyway, I'm putting a reservation down on the M3 for the wifey as soon as possible!
  18. Affleck did good, and Eisenberg was less annoying than I feared. Two thumbs and one dick up (for Gal).
  19. But was it $115 MM funny? Quote of the day: "I do not have a 10 inch penis".
  20. So they're piping the exhaust into the cabin to see how long they survive?
  21. Agree, I expected some derogatory comments, but he showed class.
