  1. Did anyone see what Lambo posted on Twitter? It's not custom tires. The tires are Trofeo Rs that will be available for customers.
  2. So Pirelli responded first it seems: http://www.tyrepress.com/2017/03/lamborghi...trofeo-r-tyres/ Trofeo Rs and: Wonder how all haters will respond to this, when there was someone else present at the record attempt observing it.
  3. The internet is in turmoil, Lambo will likely be responding on monday.
  4. Lol, he talks as if it is just more HP and less weight, yet fails to realize that the aerodynamic system is far superior to any other road car.
  5. I think Harris was referring to how he doesn`t care about the Ring times in general. Can`t blame him, there are many who think the same way, including James May. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Also Koenigsegg congratulated Lambo on their epic feat at the Ring.
  6. Nope, far from a GT3 car: GT3 car`s interior: It is a 99% pre-production car in a similar fashion to the 918`s record car. All that (roll cage, fire extinguisher, etc) are safety stuff in order to be able to set a laptime. Without those you get a "nada" from the people at the Ring. My observation is that the passenger seat is missing and that the driver`s seat is different to the sports seats. I personally think that the passenger seat is missing, because of the roll cage. Once they fitted the roll cage there was no space left to fit the seat. Also the haters can hate all they want, its been set, and it is official as it gets.
  7. Bloomberg fucked up and leaked this:
  8. So I zoomed in on the tires: Clearly P Zeros. All the haters can moan and complain all they want, but it is a fact that it holds the record now. So far McLaren and Ferrari haven`t dared with anything. Probably never will dare putting their cars around the Ring. Still magazines will do it, and I can`t wait till autumn when the magazine tests of the Performante start coming out. I believe Lambo can shave off another 5 sec with Trofeo Rs and a bit more aggressive driving, because the lap time seemed very calm.
  9. Aston Martin uses Forged Carbon too, and their customers don`t seem to be put off by it.
  10. It`s like finding out that water is wet. No surprise here, not when it comes to Ferrari. Two things I would say, 1. I want to see the reaction of Fchat at the moment. 2. It is great to see that Ferrari keeps up it`s spirit from the good old days!
  11. Ahh, such a tease! I hope they don't on March 1st say "more on the 3rd" with another video or picture of the test mule.
  12. Lambo has said that if the SUV is profitable, they will stop with the special editions, until then they will make two each year starting last year with Avio and Miura Homage. Anyway can`t wait for tomorrow!
  13. The only place where F12 is faster than an Aventador is from a roll. Hell, Ferrari doesn't even allow TDF's to be tested (In a similar fashion how they were salty about LaF), so besides the "official figures" we have no idea how it would do agianst an Aventador SV. 488 and Huracan are equally matched, again 488 being faster than a Huracan from a roll. Remember that the Huracan has 60 or so HP less than the 488, yet it is able to keep up on a track and from a dig. Both of those cars are made for diffrent customers, one is a TT V8 another is a N/A V10. Ferrari hasn't fallen behind, they simply lie and pussy out whenever the talk of performance begins. It seems they are more confident in thier V8 models than thier V12. On regards to 812. I don't like it's design apart from the rear. That LaF side intake and POS/Viper front doesn't do it any favours. The absence of Pininfarina is clear in the design. F12 or TdF over this any day if it were my choice.
  14. I can understand the dissapointment in terms of how the Aventador S is marketed. It's a trend that has been going for sometime (also noticeably with Ferrari) where you get non accurate or vague details of how the car will perform/drive. Also the way Lambo and Ferrari number limited cars is just a shame, putting that 1 of xxx produced. Lambo likes to underrate thier cars in the official spec sheets a lot nowadays. The Huracan for example is claimed to do 0-60 in 3.2 sec, but from the magazine tests it seems to be doing 2.8 secs on avarage run. Even a stock LP700 Aventador is capable of doing 2.8 secs from 0-60. Top speed wise Aventador has been tested by Sport Auto running 354 km/h/220 mph. Video for it: SV seems to be even faster in the top end when compared to the LP 700 (from a few drag races that we have). Something worth noting is that the A SV has a lot of fixed aero parts which isn't an advantage in terms of straight line speed. Aventador S on the other hand will likely be as fast as an SV, because it doesn't have the aero disadvantage, but it has the power advantage (though it weights the same as an LP 700.) I agree of what you said about the Murcielago SV. For me the Murcie SV is way more worth than what one costs today. It is also for me the best all around Lamborghini ever built. In my eyes it is just a perfection and the very defenition of what a Lamborghini is. It's upsetting how it is sort of being put in an underdog position nowadays. Sorry for a lengthy post, but my advice for taking in the Aventador S would be to think of it as the evolution that Murcielago underwent from the LP 580 to the LP640. The starting price of an A S is $425k in Muricca btw. Stick with the Murcie SV for as long as you can, it something truly special, almost irreplacable with something else. One thing that I would give to Lambo is how they thought of the Aventador SV's owners, unlike Ferrari who gave a damn about the TDF with the Superfast F12.
  15. Is it still Anglesey? If it is: P1 GTR: 1:08.7 P1 on Trofeo Rs: 1:11.2 Video:
  16. Nevermind, it is just a wierd title of the said test drive from a magazine. It was refering to it's Nurburgring record.
  17. Performante also holds Imola record. Mentioned in some test drives of the pre-production car.
  18. So in 7 days (6 days, if you don`t count today) everyone will finally see it.
  19. Not long until that camo cover drops...
  20. I still can`t believe the same designer who designed this car, designed the front of it. For me it is ewww type of ugly. The 650S had an acceptable front, maybe too close to P1`s, but this... I get that they were still going for the "Mclaren logo" theme for the headlights (as you saw from the side of that Instagram shot), but it ruins the car when you are looking straight up from the front. Especially it makes the car have this "pointy" looking nose lol. The side isn`t as dull as you have seen. It has this intake/vent down, behind the door. It also has a cool area behind that small window which goes into the engine. The rear is where its at, in my opinion way better looking than the 650`s, maybe even 675`s. Its a better execution of the 570S`s rear design with details from the 675LT. Speaking of which, the interior is also a mile forward from the 650S and it has an outstanding visibility, maybe the best of any current supercar/super sportscar. It is also a lot more spacious in terms of storage. I could see this becoming a great daily Super. Options are quite nice and the performance is (according to Mclaren)... you will see for yourself soon, once they come officially. Oh, one more thing. The spoiler is similar to the Aventador`s, at least that`s how it looked to me in the showcase. It goes higher up than the one on 650S. That`s it from my perspective, before I spoil everything.
  21. Some of the major specs are out from Ford: 647HP. 550 pound feet of torque. (745 Nm) It weighs 3054 pounds (1,385 kg) dry. Top speed 216 mph/347 km/h Source to back these up: http://www.motor1.com/news/134388/2017-for...specs-revealed/
  22. Some renderings that show how it will be for sure:
  23. The design has really grown on me. Damn it looks good... My favorite part of the "S" is without any doubt the exhaust system: That is a work of art and every car in the world wished it had an exhaust shaped like that.
  24. I kept it quiet, once you pointed that out.
