  1. I predict most GT owners, if they own other super cars, will park the GT in the garage and let it appreciate. Easily double your money. I can’t see the car being chosen from a pure dynamics standpoint over a Huracan/720S/GT3/AMGGTR. From an ivestment standpoint, ALL DAY!
  2. All Mclaren has to do in order to up the experience of the 720S is lose about 50 pounds worth of sound deadening and tune the engine to blow off hard like the P1. I’m sure they left this in the bag for the LT version and wanted the base car to be everyday usable. I’m also sure the LT version will be Chiron quick. 800+ HP,
  3. Wow. Serious comment from a serious car collector.
  4. Dark grey works as well. All the others are a mess I agree.
  5. My guesses: 0-60 in 2.3 60-130 in 4.7 We'll see....
  6. Please do! I'm quite interested in both pieces of information. (in regards to weight and acceleration)
  7. WOW! Thrilled for you. What a collection. Two absolute beasts. Have to say, the Chiron looks a fair bit better than the Veyron. Also, surprised to hear your take that the SS is a better drivers car than the Chiron.
  8. I would assume that in cooler weather the 720S will run 175-176 in the half mile. That’s probably 15 mph more than a Huracan P over the same distance which is a lot.
  9. For a rwd car that 720S launches like a rocket. I’d have to think it may break 5 seconds to 100 mph with Trofeo R’s and a good surface.
  10. I can’t wait to see a 720S test on Trofeos. The R&T test was on Corsas. This is a sub 10 second car to 150 mph....stock. It’s a rocket ship and think about the LT version in a few years. The MT test might be on Trofeo Rs.
  11. I’ve been in an SV multiple times and I cannot fathom how you pulled that off logistically.
  12. I’d settle for a 1700 kg Aventador with a DCT considering the current ones are nearly 1900 kg!!
  13. DCT and a 100 kilo diet. Probably unrealistic to expect both, though.
  14. The hybrids and 720S have great straight line speed. The HP has the best cornering capability and corner exit speed. The next generation, be it the Mercedes Hyper car, 488 Speciale or 750 LT (if that’s what it called) puts both of these together. That’s the ultimate combo. We are three years away.
  15. Any penalty in straight line is more than made up for with cornering ability the ALA provides.
  16. These graphs are exactly why websites like fastest laps are so stupid. This is what an acceleration graph looks like. They are logarithmic and now that dct’s exist they are relatively smooth. If they are peaky or wavy then the numbers are piece mealed from different runs and graphed as one.
  17. Numbers don’t lie. Sub 15 seconds to 150 mph is nothing to sneeze at. 720S is just that fast. I’d imagine it will do 10.5 seconds to 150 mph under good conditions. That’s hypercar stuff.
  18. Pls post up more reviews when you spend some more time with the car. I've yet to see anything but stellar reviews but I haven't heard many owner impressions, yet.
  19. Great pics. To be honest I like the front of the 580-2 best! Neat to see them side by side.
  20. That's great! What speed was allegedly achieved?
  21. Looks beautiful. That white has a lot of contrast. Looking forward to hearing how the car drives.
  22. The three cars to have for performance at the moment are the Permformante, 720S and GT2RS there is no doubt. The first looks and sounds fantastic. The second looks interesting and sort of strange from certain angles and sounds ok. The third looks awful. Also the first is likely cheapest. Kind of a no brainer. If you can fit well in a Huracan (cabin feels tight to me or I'd have one) the HP is the car to have.
  23. Amazing stuff. I wouldn't get the car though. I don't like all the crazy wings and slits and ducts.
  24. I wonder what will be able to beat the 720S because so far nothing has managed to be close.
  25. It's all tires today. Screw the billion dollars of r&d that goes into a super car. Just throw space age tire tech on the car and it'll cut 10 seconds off its Ring time.
