  1. I don't think anyone has missed what your involvement is.
  2. How about a simple public answer to this question: Is this YOUR car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/E-Gear-LP57...#ht_36344wt_948
  3. Like I said.. It's just one opinion, with 38 years of chassis building experience. But there are other ways and other opinions.
  4. I think there are multiple schools of thought on where to place the mount. BRAD HADMAN DISCUSSES PARACHUTE SAFETY “In our cars, we mount them (the parachutes) down on the bottom side of the rear end, so it is on the bottom of the chassis,” "We’ve been mounting parachutes like this in our cars for quite some time, at least 10 years. It does two things, it keeps the rear-end from rotating, but it’s all tied to the chute mount, so the whole load of that chute mount isn’t just relying on the bolts and the bottom of that housing.” That's one opinion, with 38 years of experience... BTW That picture of kyles car has to have the best looking automotive ass in the world..
  5. The Gallardo is a guaranteed rolling freak show... You will have people sticking there cell phones out of there cars as you roll down the road and the inability to really park the car anywhere without worrying about it. The 997TT is better in terms of performance.. Stock to Stock.. That's not to say that the Gallardo is bad, not at all. It's just that the Turbo is really a much better car and designed for daily use. If you go with an LP-560 then the gap in performance is really splitting hairs. The Gallardo sounds WAY better than the turbo ever will. That alone is worth it! I am so conflicted... Just get both... :-)
  6. Welcome to Austin! There are several lambos in your vicinity.. You should bring it by the car's and coffee show. It's in Leander this Sunday.
  7. Changing the exhaust, that's the best part. The sound.. Oh My... I don't even bother turning on the sound system.. It's pointless.
  8. Don't waste your money on all the "looks fast crap"... Just go for the TT... All other mods combined, no matter how many you do, will never add up the TT. Carbon fiber washer covers or some funky side skirts... please... Just start the car and listen... Ahh... turbos! Trust me you will not regret it.
  9. Your spot on... While my car was being built I had an offer for much more than I had into it.. I passed.... Why? Because I spent allot of time and money to get the car and have it built. Time is money... You can't just walk into a car dealer with a bankroll and buy a GTT... You need to pay for the car, send it in, pay for the upgrades and wait till the transport shows up. The only way I will get rid of this car is when I have another one...
  10. My car has so much power that it becomes slightly light in the front end under full boost. It's certainly not the same as before the TT kit. I think a different coil over kit would help. Are you running the stock kit on yours?
  11. After owning all sorts of go fast cars I agree... You will be tainted forever as nothing will come close in power.
  12. After driving my UGR GTT I can't think of any other car that would be more fun. There may be better "cars" in terms of this and that. But when you have them in a line and you can choose the key of wich one to drive... It's hard not to go for for the UGR GTT. Now the car I would most like to see built up is a Porsche CGT with the Underground TT set up. That would be epic.
  13. How about a replacement for the stock gauges? Maybe we can get a custom carbon panel to hold three programmable gauges in the stock location. They even have an OBD2 version...
  14. 1. $40-55k 06-07 BMW M6 2. $60-75k GTR 3. $80k-95k 09 ZR1 4. $100k-125k Gallardo
  15. The stock crank is forged. 5.0 — cast aluminium alloy with integrated liners with eutectic alloy; 88 mm (3.46 in) cylinder bore spacing;[4] forged steel crankshaft with split crankpins (to create even 72 deg firing interval with the 90 deg vee-angle) 5.2 — cast aluminium alloy; 90 mm cylinder bore spacing; forged steel crankshaft with shared crankpins (creating an uneven firing interval of either 58 deg or 90 deg separation)
  16. Nice ride! My car was being built at the same time. It's the spyder next to yours. How do you like the stage 2 power? I have yet to get mine back but it is in the process of dyno tuning now, should ship this week. Here are a couple teaser pics I got from Kevin last night... I owned the car for 5 days before sending it out... Total withdrawals... At least I have a picture to remember it by...
  17. In general a TT'd car may actually be worth more than the sum of it's costs. Rumor has it that a TT'd car was sold for way more than the cost to build it more than once. I think the down side to this car is that the motor is not built. I would ask 150... Or if you don't need the money right now send it to have the bottom end done. The motor will be fresh. Then I would ask allot more. Buyers will pay to have the "immediate gratification"
  18. I am not really familiar with the area however it was near a Lawry's steak house, BMW Lifestyle center and Rolls Royce dealer. Here is the map where the Lawry's is at. Lawry's Shanghai Map The area was very high end.
  19. I am here till the 22nd for a trade show. What are you in town for?
  20. The price for a 560-4? Just 4.1 million RMB or 610K USD. They had two 560's and a 550! The sales lady told me they have sold 50 cars so far.
