  1. That thing is going to kill the Superleggera. Mind you, it is nearly 599 money so it should.
  2. You're not long on top of the heap these days!
  3. You are right - it looks like an old man's car .............cos it is an old man's car.
  4. Here's one taken by member ashsimmonds... http://www.lulu.tv/?p=5657
  5. Anyone want to sell their titanium Callisto wheels off their SE? I have a friend with a G who wants to upgrade to SE wheels.
  6. I don't mind the looks, but I've never understood the premise of the CL. As big as a sedan, but without the practicality. Why bother?
  7. Shame about the bumper things on the rear. They seem to be US only fitment.
  8. Good thing it's effective 'cos it sure as hell ain't pretty. I'd like one in the garage, mind you.
  9. Is that a serious bid? It looks like good money to me. I know the mod cost plenty, since mods usually don't improve your price that much, it is a good price. Just IMO...
  10. Not my car here but these babies get along for a sedan. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/m5/5/4...B610CEB1F0B.htm
  11. Yep, it's a repost.
  12. How about rain sensing wipers and tilting passenger mirror? Even basic cars have these items now. Decent speakers for the radio too please.
  13. If they have done a CLK 63, I guess they'll do a C63 in the next model. That should be a pocket rocket.
  14. I've thought about it, but the car is just too ugly. It is a shame Porsche persists with a lack of styling innovation.
  15. I agree. I'm sure it will be a lovely thing to ride in, but Lexus styling is too bland. In Australia, the big Lexus isn't competitive with Benz/BMW/Audi etc. They are seen as a luxury Toyota.
  16. I would disagree. It was very linear all the way. It never felt to me like it pulled hard at all. It was just smooth acceleration all the way to 150MPh. It's all relative I guess. After a blown NSX, the M5 might feel tame. But as an owner, I wouldn't call the thrust linear. Like BMWRACER says, it pulls hard at high revs but doesn't have the same grunt as a Gallardo at lower revs.
  17. I own a new M5 as well as an e-gear Gallardo. The SMG is better than the e-gear at low speed (smoother on take up and less shunty), but not as good once you are rolling - unless you are in programs S5 or S6 when it is pretty good. In the other programs, it is too slow to change. The "auto" mode is crap - just like it is on every sequential I've driven. The biggest problem with the SMG is that there are too many choices. I-drive is as bad as they say. After 7,000km with it I'm still learning stuff. MB's Comand kills it. The M5 isn't perfect but it is one hell of a sedan and a great GT car for covering long distances quickly. It has beautiful steering (better than the G), rides pretty well and goes hard (more top end but less mid range than the Lambo). It isn't pretty but I wasn't so keen on the E39 in this regard either. Let me know if you have any more questions.
  18. I quite like it but wonder if it is worth it. The Ferrari engine with the red finish is more visible. Looking through the Gallardo's glass cover doesn't reveal a hell of a lot.
  19. Everyone talks up the manual but almost no-one buys them. The 90% take up rate for e-gear is about right. To be honest, I can't imagine driving a manual Gallardo. It would be a totally different experience to the e-gear. But try them both and buy the one you like.
  20. Good Let me know when you want a spin in mine.
  21. The Gallardo silver is one of the best silvers you will see - it has real depth and a very slight hint of blue in some light. My favourite colour this week is this one though - I took the pic at the factory. Only problem is that someone at home would notice that I had changed cars and domestic bliss would suffer a setback.
  22. I would stay original, but here's a nice pearl green.
