  1. The Aust one is rubbish, the US one is significantly better. I use http://www.getflix.com.au
  2. Looks great, congrats! Had my first good look at the M4 today, at first I wasn't sold on the looks but they've definitely grown on me. Had one of their tunes in my old 135i - was fantastic. Highly recommend these guys.
  3. A dealer here (possibly the local Lamborghini dealer - think I saw it driving past the other night) wants $1m for a used example.
  4. Hard to believe I've been coming here almost every day since Jul-05!

    iPhone 5!

I know it's early days, but market disappointment with initial sales may see this be the case again. Same story here, 3 block long line at the Sydney Apple store, my dad walked in to the Telstra shop directly across the road and there were 3 people in front of him and he could have bought one on the spot.

    iPhone 5!

According to one analyst I heard, AAPL stock historically outperforms the market leading into iPhone announcements and during the time between the announcement and the actual release, yet underperforms once the phones are released. So if history is anything to go by, you may be best waiting on a pull-back. Could break tradition and continue going up though, never know! I generally take analyst recommendations with a grain of salt - however to give a bit of perspective on their view, Bloomberg consensus 12mth price target is $772.89 with 51 analysts having a buy rating 6 holds and 2 sell recommendations - after most analysts reviewing within the past week or so. From a currency perspective it's probably a good time with the AUD where it is at the moment - reports of global central bank demand for AUD slowing could see weakness going forward. The next few RBA decisions could also result in it weakening, with a drop on the back of the release of the minutes today.
  8. I've got a bad case of this at the moment. Lived in Brisbane (3rd largest city in Australia) all my life, and am over it - and I'm only 23! However at the moment, working in the stockbroking/investment banking industry, I feel like the risk of leaving the security of my job when so many people with a hell of a lot more experience than me are losing their jobs, is too high to move. So not only am I fed up with where I live, but I feel as if I'm stuck. I may end up moving and realising that Brisbane is great and move straight back, but I really need to get out and try somewhere new, even somewhere close like Sydney or Melbourne - Ideally I'd love to give NY a go, been there twice on holiday and loved it - but that's easier said than done unfortunately.

  10. THIS one by the same architects is amazing too. Love the pool
  11. From an article I read yesterday:
  12. I live a few houses from Bulimba Creek. Its high, but not too bad at the moment (see pic - usually a small creek maybe 2-3m across, and less than 1m deep). According to the flood maps, worse case it will be <50m from my house. Not worried though - unless there is a huge downpour over the next day or two, we should be fine. I'll put up some photos tonight that were taken at our Toowoomba office yesterday. Absolutely unbelievable.
  13. The building I work in got evacuated today. The amount of people leaving the CBD at around lunch time was incredible. Lines for buses several hundred meters long Have a feeling I won't be going in tomorrow!
