  1. Fully Optioned, around $100-110K, but you can further customize it upon ordering.... and take it from me, you'll be able to take out anything on the street or track (with some driver know-how of course...) that costs 3 times ++ more (stock). Like many of today's high performance exotics, it caters to a specific driver audience, in this case, those who want the experience w/o all the electronic BS. Therefore, you can really appreciate the engineering that goes into it. Totally opposite of cars such as the GT-R, so if you're looking for a Microsoft PC to be piloting your car for you, then this is not for you.
  2. Thanks Bill... and BTW, thanks for the hook-up the other day as well One of the reasons I opted for the Q1, other than it's extreme performance and design, is the fact that it's more of a race car that you can drive on the streets, rather than an exotic that drives like a race car... if you get my drift. I was looking for a car that was already prepped for the track, but still a hot and classy, not to mention unique, exotic sports car I could take my wife out in. The Q1 has a built in roll cage, positioned pedals for easy heal/toe, and the most comfortable CF race seats around. I must say, other than needing a bit more storage space, it's exceeded my expectations as to performance, ride/comfort and appearance. Again, it's a car that really needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate, but it's when you drive it at the more spirited limits, especially on the track, that it truly shines like almost nothing else on 4-wheels. Other than this, I was opting for a SL or Porsche GT3, but I have to say that the Q1's performance and street ride was on another level. It's top speed is gear limited to around 191-194, and it truly books! I'll post more as I drive it, and once I hit 3500 miles, it will be at the next available track day!
  3. Hey Mike, Good hearing from you!! I'm taking it in today for it's first 500 mile service, so maybe we can meet around lunch next Saturday... Maybe make a gathering out of it... I'll see if the Hummer guys want to meet up as well.
  4. Until you drive it my lad..... Anyhow, that's a matter of opinion, further recognized by people's response on the street! I will admit though, it's one of those cars that pix just don't do it justice.
  5. Well, after my mishap in late 2007 with my Lotus, and after waiting 20 months since ordering, my custom Rossion Q1 has finally arrived!!!! And I'm in Love all over again!! For those of you who aren't familiar with Rossion, to put it in a few words, it's the new, redesigned and newly engineered Noble. The Rossion guys were the importers of the 220 Nobles that came to the U.S. between 2004-2008. When Noble decided to jump ship from his own company, they bought the rights and design, then gave it a complete overhaul, although you can still clearly make it's Noble likeness. I was going to get a Noble back then, but it was a bit too archaic for me, but love the Race car aspect of it. Now, it's all been upgraded and made into a true and unique Hyper-Sports Car. The specs on the website are derived from old Noble tests, but I can attest to VBox numbers (although I can't post the graph yet) by Rossion's engineer and test driver of the following so far (STOCK): 0-60 3.12 secs 1/4 11.1 (I believe they did 2 runs in 10.9 as well) 0-100 7.9 Lat G's 1.15 HP 455 (although the site says 450) It weighs in at about 2450 lbs. All this info is unofficial though, but you'll be seeing the first mag test in Road & Track in about 2 months. I can tell you that the drive left the testers VERY impressed. You guys won't believe how well this car rides on the street, and w/o touching it's adjustable suspension, it destroys most anything stock on the track. The fit and finish is 'right on'. I participated in the interior's design. The stitching is designed by yours truly.... does it remind you of anything I've obtained #17, although I understand they've received over 35 orders since it's first car hit the road in November, and they will only be producing 48 per year for the U.S. They took 2 test cars to Palm Beach Raceway for some testing, where it destroyed a well versed and experienced driver in an Enzo that was running that day. Some pix, although some with my camera phone.... will get better ones with the Cannon next week.... (the Assymetrical Lemans Stripes and wheels are also of my design, to be offered as options in current models)...
  6. Damn these threads move fast... 5 pages already!! Well, I REALLY don't want to miss this! I have my new Cafe/Lounge opening in S Miami around Sept/Oct, so I'm going to have to play this by ear depending on when we have our CO. Otherwise, I'm in, but wont know till the last minute!! Put me on the stand-by list. Who's giving us the special Lambo Power auto transport rate?
  7. Mike, I've just recently owned both a Porsche and '02 Esprit V8... I'm a bit biased as I am a Lotus fan for various reasons, but if you were to ask me what is the best "all-around" and reliable sports car in the market, I'd have to say Porsche. Is the P-Car what I'd get... HELL NO!! At your stage of life, you'll be glad you got what your heart is after, even if it does give you just a 'bit' more trouble, and I surmise that's the Esprit. My Esprit was truly flawless, and I had "safely" modified it to approx 511 Crank HP. I know these car VERY well, and am well known in the national Lotus group. What's already been said about the Renault built gearbox is true, as well as other things.... what is completely NOT true, is that it's harder to get in and out of than an Elise/Exige... far from it... and I've played with all of them. BTW, Holloway Performance in the U.S. now makes a kit at around $4K that fixes and reinforces the gearbox, and it works great, as I was one of the testers. It's a great car for the street and very classy! Reliability pends on the car you get and regular maintenance... and we happen to have one of the best damn Lotus mechanics in the nation right in Ft. Lauderdale, so you're covered. The cockpit is quite snug, but that's all about preference, as I love that snug race car feel. Actually, I really dislike that open free area of the Ferrari's.... just not my style for a hardcore exotic or supercar. The times you will experience in a car like this are priceless!! As already mentioned, don't go for anything other than an '02-'04, but the '02's are definitely my favorite... only 100 imported and have special 25th Anniv badging. If you are opting for an Esprit, lets do lunch this week, maybe Friday, and I'll be happy to help you out..... actually be a treat for me in all honesty!!
  8. Don't see it happening that way... but then again, I've not been in the racing vicinity of a 560 yet, so will hold on my tongue for now... as for a non-turbo G vs a Plastic mess-06, the Z will take it every time.
  9. What's the reliability and longevity, along with care/maintenance techniques, for these new matte colors??? I've thought about a color like this on another vehicle, but I've been told that they are not very resilient, especially in the harsh hot, humid and "just about everything else" weather we have in Florida.
  10. Noticed you asked for a M. I did not order the first one... are they regular/loose fit, or more like fit-to-form as in Guess T-Shirts and such???
  11. Now that looks like a fun as hell day!! Great mix of cars and seems like a great bunch of drivers as well. I'm itch'n to hit the track again soon, but have to deal with break-in for the next 1000 miles first
  12. The yellowing over time is a natural occurrence of CF in general. Hence why Dymag already puts out their CF wheels with yellow hue in order to prevent the yellowing since it already is. Then there's the CF used by GM on the ZR1, which has a very expensive chemical additive composite that prevents yellowing, period. This is why they have the roof section on the ZR1 in natural CF w/o any worries. The best thing is to see if you can get it replaced under warranty, otherwise, this metal plate seems to be the only other recourse, IMO.
  13. Do they have low flying plane issues in that town!?!? Well, they get an A for originality.... But supposedly so did Cristo & Jeane Claude when they spent millions and surrounded the islands around Miami Beach in Pink! ** (Just incase the younger guys don't know what I'm talking about... http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/si.shtml )
  14. Do they have low flying plane issues in that town!?!?
  15. Not sure if this has been posted, but just read the following update on the Lambo of OC saga: http://ocbiz.freedomblogging.com/2009/05/1...-fraud-2/11671/
  16. Whatever.... So when's the next event down here?!?
  17. Hey Sprite, Willy here (Guys from the Hummer H1 at the Airport Run)... Damn that thing is out of hand. I hope to see it in person sooner than soon!! Keep me in the loop should you decide on a run to South FL. Definitely my top SL on the list as of now! (Well, unless Slowpoke's SL comes stock with that blond...)
  18. Definitely RIP! Hence, why the next exotic I've ordered comes with an integrated Steel Roll Cage and steel bar reinforced doors.
  19. Damn! Now that's a job done the right way!!
  20. Once again, Rest in Peace Peter, and know that yours is a memory that won't be forgotten. Glad to have met you and know that you are with God. I will be praying for Peter and his family and friends. I'm also in S Florida, so if there's anything that needs doing or help, shoot me a msg here.
  21. Of course it looks like the next gen Noble because that's exactly what the Rossion is. They are the same guys that imported the Noble to the States, bought the designs and rights to the Noble M12/M400 back in 2007, and redesigned/upgraded the entire car. It's literally over 75% new all over the place, but still maintains the Noble presence. That's nothing, you should drive one!
  22. Great looking car! Now let's just see how they handled all the extra weight on curves... Sounds sweet!! Check it Out: http://www.drivers-republic.com/first_look...d15d8346ad2f41a
  23. Man, if you've already got a Lambo, then time to go for something unique and special that no one else has (not to mention the most incredible performance on 4 wheels - at least the first one)!! Try one of these on for size: http://rossioncars.com http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lotus-Elise...1QQcmdZViewItem If you do want to take a shot at the Rossion, PM me and I'll hook you up directly with the owners.
  24. Wow... I've been also awaiting response on this thread... I surely wish the best to his family and know that he's smiling down as we write. I met Peter in '07 at one of the runs down here. He was outside polishing his 6.0 when I arrived and immediately smiled, said hi and introduced himself. From what I understand, he lived his life as I met him that day, friendly and with smiles. If he was sick in any way, even more to admire about his fun character. As someone has already mentioned, take a second look at life around you gents and make the most of it, especially with the order of priorities. Taking every day as a special moment goes a long way, as only God knows when it's our time. This is truly sad news and may Peter Rest in Peace.
