  1. There is a good thread on the another board. It is McL's engine in a different car. This guy is a shady guy. I have tried to buy the engine and trans and the other car with no luck.
  2. Pretty much. The other thing is you can do a lot more if your equip is web or IP control enabled otherwise the Harmony is the way to go. That is what I did. I have 13 remotes between two systems and the Harmony replaces them all. I even have the remote set up to operate different systems. i.e. press a button and the theater is selected, press a different button and the house system is being controlled, etc etc.
  3. I use a Harmony 900 with RF and IR. They also have an Ipad Phone app as well. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/remotes/univ...tes/harmony-900 IF you want a great Ipad / Phone remote many on AVSForum use Irule http://www.iruleathome.com/
  4. a merkin. I did not know you could actually buy one! If you have questions PM me. I can tell you interesting facts.
  5. The snoopy seat covers make it all worth it.
  6. I will run over to my storage unit tomorrow and see if I can find them. They are in a clear plastic box about 2 by 3 inches and have a lot more than just seals.
  7. Peter I will have to check my parts bin. They are the "factory rebuild" kits. I bought them Joe Nasati when he was closing up shop. I have not seen the BMW ones so I cannot compare. If you send an Ebay link I can look and see if they are the same or similar etc.
  8. unfortunately I have a few too many irons in the fire otherwise I would have bid more on the car. He did have all the paperwork.
  9. oh that is too funny! still laughing
  10. Get it fixed the right way i.e operated on. I had three anchors installed for a rip from 22 to 7 o'clock on my right shoulder. It took a while to heal but much better now.
  11. Here is one from home depot. They do come in different sizes i.e width and height. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-20...p;storeId=10051 Here is a better list 6 different models. depending onhow the window opens i.e where the hing is will depend on what will work. I had the same windows I believe you are describing and I used the method described above. But these will work with a little eblow grease. http://www.ajmadison.com/b.php?Ntt=casement+air+conditioner
  12. A fun article over all. http://news.yahoo.com/friends-suspected-tr...-011730860.html
  13. there are window units made for casement windows. Also you can take a piece of sheet steel or plexi glass and fir where the screen on the window goes and then duct a free standing A/C unit through a hole you create. I didi this in Alaska with a piece of plexi and a piece of flashing (steel or AL) worked wonders and was cheap, easy, and easily installed and removed!
  14. unfortunately the pilot should have known with how long it took to get off the ground that things were not going well. I am sure he did not do a wieght and balance before he flew and figured everything would be OK. Yes it is easy to arm chair QB, but I have never taken off over loaded and have never crashed and I plan to never be over gross weight either. Yes I have sat on the ramp to burn fuel or left the suit case in the car.
  15. I know a shop that does great custom fiberglass work. They can make an exact replica of the euro front bumper/lip/airdamn and they do metla fab as well so we could get them with the grille all ready in them. The only issue is we need an order of at least 5 to make it worth while and of course the more the cheaper they will go. They have done some custom work for me in the past and they of of SEMA cars.
  16. Peter, I have rebuild kits for the calibers if you want to rebuild the originals. Let me know.
  17. Comes gets in tomorrow! Not sure I will be able to sleep tonight! Will try to post some pictures tomorrow once it arrives.
  18. Merc had this in the late 90s and RR had it as well... it did not sell well and they stopped selling it. Glad to see it is now an aftermarket option.
  19. Thanks. Very true that the driver means just as much if not more when cars are close.
  20. Was that / is that at Eielson AFB, (North Pole) AK? I pulled SAR support for that from 2005 to 2007. Was part of the crew that had to deal with the mid air too.
  21. A good friend had the older more boxy MR2 not the newer one and my friend's 84 (crossfire) Vet walked easily. I have driven the older but not the newer model. As for the Lotus When I was in AL, another pilot had an '85 and I had my '85 Jalpa. I would just beat every time we raced, had fun etc.
  22. Sounds like he shifted way to early from 1st.
  23. thanks for the vid. I cannot believe he used an MR2 trans those cars had no power. A friend had the last version and the older version. High reving engine but no guts.
  24. Emilio, My issue is not with the CT or even the Jalpa. The only thing I am trying to point out is that the Jalpa really was not that much a a dog compared to cars of the day. Slightly faster than a lotus, on par to faster than the F-308, on par with a corvette, etc. My point with the CT is that it is amazing, but not the fastest, but I would rather owna CT than an other car. I would love to restore the car, but finding an engine has been a pain and the one or two that are around cost way more than they are worth. If I hot rod it (not my first choice) the car will be extremely powerful, fun, and reliable (even though I have not had a single issue with my Jalpa in 7 years!), but that also means new almost everything. It would be a great car to drive and I would keep the stock look so it would still look "original" I do like the look of the headlights and have thought of removing the rear bumper from one or both of my cars for a cleaner look. Thanks for the find Allan.
