  1. Obviously the PS2 and Pzero are options. Otherwise try to squeeze on the R888. http://www.racetire.com/products/toyo_r888.htm They tend to run wide so my guess is the 315/30ZR20 fit perfectly.
  2. I swear there was an article about that car. The only Veyron in Vietnam.
  3. Something to be said for having the first 2012 R8 TT. Enjoy!
  4. Here is a video from inside the HRE factory during the construction of a 501. http://vimeo.com/36386945 Rumor has it the 18s will MSRP @ $1700 per wheel. It looks like the 501 is a copy of a wheel they used to make in the 90s.
  5. So maybe they do it for sound reasons alone? Otherwise, why bother?
  6. In theory the X pipe setup should increase exhaust velocity, creating a suction effect from the opposing cylinder bank. This applies in NA applications, not sure if it works as well in turbo applications as the exhaust gasses are routed through the turbo before the X pipe anyway. I want to say that Heffners older TT setups did not have the X pipe. His newer ones do, so I can only assume it works. Would be fun to get some input from David or Jason.
  7. The older style wheels are making a comeback in other makes like BMW, VW, Merc. Perhaps HRE is betting that trend continues into the exotic market. The reality is that the Lambo or Ferrari community makes up a small percentage of sales compared to the common man cars anyway. The 501 style mesh rim is obviously a classic but I do agree the other 2 are certainly going after a very particular buyer. I do appreciate a big name wheel company trying something different and trendy. Their core wheel lineup is strong, so I think they can afford to push into some different directions from a design standpoint.
  8. Well you aren't messing around in the toys department. I like the wheels, nice to see some creative styling cues in the red barrel.
  9. The test is the easy part. Selling life insurance is trickier. Good luck to you!
  10. That's partially true but it also works the other way when accidents/tickets/claims are falling out of the 5 year period (3 in some cases). We should really start an Insurance 101 thread. Any interest? For most, they would rather stare at a blank wall than talk/think about insurance.
  11. I've been with my GF for 5 years and I know she's the one but I just can't get the guts to go to the diamond store. Partially b/c I am a cheap ass but also b/c I fear commitment! Anyone else go through this?
  12. Go check out the Ford Focus, very impressive car for the $.
  13. A few companies are offering 12 month rates now. I work for Liberty Mutual, we've been doing 12 month policies for a while. I think Allstate and American Family are catching on as I have seen 12 month rates from them too.
  14. Maybe D is quoting us 6 month rates?
  15. If you guys wants me to comb through your policy I am always into market research
  16. I sell car insurance and I have been up against Chubb a few times. They're premiums are almost always well above the competition but their deal is that they won't nickle and dime you in a claim situation. They're one of the best when it comes to big $ homes and cars. I can say with confidence that full coverage on an SV with a $1000 deductible and $3mm liability coverage should cost you more than what you're paying. Either you have a creative agent, some insane multi-policy discounts, or have very limited mileage limits. More power to ya, D.
  17. Well let's not pretend that a triple turbo will be cheaper to build, cheaper to maintain, or cheaper to run. Is a couple of ft/lbs in low end power worth the extra cost and complexity? The tuners will end up replacing the 3 turbos with a proper (normal) 2 turbo setup anyway.
  18. Didn't you just sell a 335? If I just sold a car, the last thing I would do is buy a slightly different version of the same car. Either way, you should have a good idea of what to expect.
  19. Great way to increase the price of the car as well as increase the service work needed to keep it running. Then fan boys will buy it for the 3rd turbo alone. It makes for good headlines.
  20. Paging Peak, BMWRacer, or Webster.
  21. Wait until you read how it happened... Exclusive: Lamborghini Gallardo Catches Fire At Portland Auto Show By Nelson Ireson, MotorAuthority.com The Portland International Auto Show isn't exactly known as a hotbed of industry activity or product reveals. Nonetheless, there is often some attractive hardware on display, including, this year, at least one privately-owned Lamborghini Gallardo. Unfortunately, that Gallardo won't be making the show. It caught fire. Why, you ask? How? The answer is surprisingly stupid. Fire marshals at the show, quite reasonably, won't let any car enter the building with more than a quarter-tank of fuel. The Gallardo attempted to enter with an undisclosed greater amount, however, and was refused. Makes good sense so far. That's when the story gets stupid. Instead of figuring a way to extract the fuel from the tank, taking it for a quick 50-mile spin, or just swapping it for another Gallardo, the display staff decided it'd be a good idea to just sit in the car and rev it to redline in neutral. Not so good for the car, but, in a pinch, excusable--perhaps. The person behind the wheel soon grew tired of the limiter-popping, however, and decided to automate the process with a piece of wood lodged between the seat and the gas pedal. Yes, a piece of wood. After sitting idle at full song for several minutes, the completely predictable, inevitable, and foreseeable occurred: it overheated and caught fire. It was immediately loaded on a truck and removed from the scene. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1072166...tland-auto-show

  23. I worked at a movie theater (serving popcorn) for 2 years to afford this bad boy. Spent every last dime on it. I was the coolest kid at my high school for a little while. I parked in the way back of the parking lot and walked past everyone else fighting for the close spots. Those were the good old days. The kid I sold it to riced it out.
