  1. To put an end to all question marks... NO it's not my 6.0 that crashed ! What I read in the news was that the orange GT crash in Germany was caused by a mechanic making a test drive and not by the owner. Apparantly at low speed the car suddenly changed direction and he lost control. Could be some leaves on the road made the car loose traction. http://www.nordbayern.de/nuernberger-zeitu...chrott-1.308856
  2. A group of Google streetview cars gets lost in Amsterdam.. seems they have to use the oldfashioned neighborhood map and phone to try and find their way around.. all to see on streetview itself.. http://maps.google.nl/maps?f=q&source=...p=12,128,,0,7.3
  3. Indeed the alarm controls a valve in the fuel line so you better have that one checked. I've even heard of some 6.0 owners having this valve removed or bypassed since it's known to cause problems intermittently. So the 10 x cycle of the alarm seems like a good idea as well. All in all it sounds like the engine is not getting any juices to burn...Next in line to check will be the fuel pump. Good luck to get it fixed and please post back on the cause / solution.
  4. I made an absentee bid but unfortunately just missed out on this one.. would have loved to put it on the wall of my new garage.. Congrats to the new owner, for sure this is a true piece of art !!
  5. http://autonews.gasgoo.com/china-news/lamb...ch-100820.shtml Outsourcing to China.. but still a hefty price-tag... will be interesting to see if worldwide production for the Estoque will be in China. For cars with this price level the shipping costs to other parts of the world are less relevant I guess. Build quality might be a bigger concern.
  6. Bump... Same question here.. I'm thinking of ordering a spare but also don't have the keycard.. Probably prove of ownership will be sufficient to order but still.. any experience on this one ?
  7. That sure is nice ! Please keep us posted on the work you're doing..
  8. We're currently doing an engine out on the Espada... want the mechanics to be as immaculate as the exterior and interior so we decided to make a proper judgement and make all necessary replacements it's better to pull the engine. Already all parts are in but the problem is to find enough time to do all the work. Also now the engine is out the engine bay can receive a cosmetic treatment as well.
  9. Sorry for the late reply... was talking about the airbag module on the column... But I guess disconnecting at the GFA module side should have the same effect.
  10. I recall I read somewhere that disconnecting the steering wheel unit completely(kill the battery with the switch before doing so). Start the car.... and turn off the ignition again... , use the battery switch to disable the battery again, re-attach the unit, battery back on. Start the car.......... If you're lucky..... Could do the trick... Never tried it myself though... My ABS light has been on since last year.. will try to switch it off through an interface any time soon. Will keep you guys posted if it worked.
  11. This won't be working... sure you'll lose weight initially. But it will come back on quicker than you can imagine... your body goes in starvation mode when you don't eat "normally" for a longer period of time... your metabolism will slow down and your body will start to use body fat but also MUSCLE and eventually even organ tissues to "stay alive"... Less muscle burns less fat... slower metabolism.... same thing.... so after such a crash diet you'll surely end up in worse state than when you started.... be warned.... There's lots of reading material available on-line... you should focus on burning fat, keep the muscle... can only be done slowly... don't forget the cardio training... dieting isn't the single solution...
  12. Fetched 290K US$... serious money ... for a serious car... would have been my choice for bidding as well... but not up to 300K...
  13. Took these pics just over a month ago... rare event to have 3 of these beauties lined up like this.....
  14. hmmm.... good question... that combined pic is still a plan... but sofar the cars haven't been back in my garage all at the same time.... Actually now I'm thinking of it right now .... all my cars are currently at the workshop accept the good old Auburn.... So I'm kind of Lamborghiniless at the moment... doesn't feel good... doesn't feel good at all.... Espada still needs some work and especially a good cleaning on the outside and engine bay as well... Paint is brand new so the exterior will be an easy task... engine bay will require some steam cleaning and some bits and pieces that are missing or not as original as I would like them to be. On the exterior I still need to find Espada emblems for left and right flank... also new wheel centre caps are on the list....etc.... Below a pic of the car I took at the workshop...
  15. Thanks for all the thumbs up guys... hardly spending any time at home lately.. so please be patient on the pics a bit longer...
  16. Same here... Fabio is a great guy and when visiting the factory the private museum shouldn't be missed !! Only a short drive to get there anyway.
