  1. You know I have a vacuum pump and gauges. Mike
  2. Having had a few high horsepower street cars, I understand the allure. But actually it just ruins you for stock cars. After owning a 1200+ rwhp Viper and a Diablo VTTT, I don’t think I could own another one. For a street car they don’t have the equipment to legally race, and there are not enough events to really run at. I now have a dedicated race car that I enjoy, on the racetrack. I do not understand the bragging rights for who’s car can go from over the speed limit to three times the speed limit. Mike.
  3. You know the reason insurance is a problem is because most of your cars don't have the safety equipment for the speeds that you run. Mike.
  4. I know it's limitations, it is just a lake boat. I have been in 4 foot waves. Going against the waves it just fly's across the tops. Going with the waves it turns each one into a launch ramp. Mike
  5. It all depends upon the boat. Riding in someone else's boat is different than driving your own. Would you buy a Lamborghini if you could only ride in the passengers seat? Mike.
  6. It all depends upon what kind of boating you enjoy. It can be like cars, motor homes and houseboats, luxury cars and offshore, daily drivers and ?. I think I enjoy sports cars of boating. Not real practical but a lot of fun. 28 ft catamaran with twin 496 HO and 100 mph. Mike
  7. Who is responsible for the big air ducts in the front bumper. It started with the 6.0 and got bigger with the Murcielago and the Gallardo. I have never been a fan of the vacuum cleaner look. Mike.
  8. Thanks, I was wondering how they handled the heat. Mike.
  9. I am not sure of what was done to the engine internally. I understand that Greg Armstrong of Historic Race Engineering still has a shop in Costa Mesa. He is the one who built these cars for Platinum Motors. My car has the two stock radiators in the corners, and a third radiator across the middle where the non-turbo cars muffler would be. I found someone’s driving impression of the svtt here: http://lamborghinitwinturbo.blogspot.com/2...-want-more.html
  10. I used to have a regular 95 Diablo before I got the VTTT. It drives the same except for better brakes and surprising acceleration once the boost kicks in. I have had no problems with the car except for one leaking front shock I had to replace. They didn’t just bolt turbos on. There is air to water intercooling, an extra radiator with two fans and an extra A/C condenser. The turbos don’t fully spool until about 4000 rpm so with normal driving the additional stresses on the car are minimal. It is a gradual change, not violent. I took it to the drag strip once. I launched a idle ( I don’t want to hurt my clutch) The sixty foot was 2.7 seconds and the car ran 13 flat at 125 mph. The trap speed is the same as my 10.5 second Camaro. The car is great, I like the closed headlight Diablo body style the best. I was thinking of getting a Ford GT, but decided that would be trading down. Mike
  11. And with the cooling system upgrades the dealer made I can drive it in the Las Vegas heat.
  12. Yes, The Buy it Now, is a bit over priced. The article that quotes the "$380,000. price, if you can find one". Is very old. My car is currently in the show room at the Palazzo. Nick took some excellent pictures: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40220 Mike.
  13. With the exception of being built by Lamborghini, his over enthusiastic description, as you put it. Was cut and pasted from other websites. http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Diablo/...VTTT/index.html http://www.lambocars.com/dia/diavttt.htm Technically the car was built by Lamborghini, Just the turbos and other upgrades were dealer installed.
  14. I am offended by that remark. Why is a twin turbo Diablo junk?
