  1. Awesome work Mike, you've been busy fixing all the usual suspects lately. At this rate you will have ice cold AC before the summer hits How long did this job take?
  2. If that is what you want then like QV said try to find one in your area... and as stated it is a buyers market for the Ann cars right now, but unfortunately most of those buyers are in Japan! At a lower price point like that you are at risk loosing the car to someone out of the country. 100-110k for an acceptional car seems an appropriate offer depending on color etc...
  3. Congrats, cant wait to see pics, and get your first driving impressions.
  4. I like the color on the LP better, but it still looks great, but CT looks good in any color . Do you know if this is the original color for this car Peter? And does anyone know how many S cars they made in this color, I don't remember seeing any others.
  5. I say black as well, the caulking lines on the CT add to the design IMO.
  6. White on white is my favorite combo, so if feasable I would change it back. The car was just recently painted yellow though, correct? So if the paint is in good shape, just get the car back together and enjoy it for a while. You may end up liking it in the yellow even more than you thought. I don't care for the wheels in yellow, but thats just personal preference. It's kinda funny how many times some of these cars have changed color inside and out. Makes some sense though as there aren't many out there. Probably easier to find A car and paint it how you want then try to find the right color combo.
  7. I need more options; my least favorite would be a US spec Ann car, but I would take a Euro spec DD Anniversay over a two valve FI. The DD hump without a wing actually works for me as much as that design can. If I only had one I would not want a LP400, as the non S is just not as Countach to me. Though if I could have more than one That being said I love all Countach's, just to slightly different degrees.
  8. I don't even know what to say about the TT car, definitely a CT with balls, looks in better shape than the other. Where were all the mods done and was it all at the same time, or where the body mods done at a later time? Is it the bigger Wallace block, or the standard 400 block? The owner sure did like the red rings in the wheels Does he have another barns or sheds on his property, maybe an underground layer? If so I suggest you search them thoroughly
  9. WOW... so he is wanting to sell the TT car, but keep the DD? Sell one to fix another I'm hoping This guy must have had some crazy parties back in the day.
  10. Another neighbor? Where is this magical Countach filled land you live in! Crazyness
  11. Just for reference does anyone have pictures of the other FI conversions that were not done by Jas?
  12. Prayers with you and your family. There is no excuse for the negligence you had to deal with there.
  13. Oh yea go cart steering on the hwy, look at the wheel giggle. Awesome car, love the color combo. Must have been a fun one.
  14. I hope it is o.k. to post links to other forums, if not I apologise. There is a lot of info about the car in this thread though, including some commentary from someone that worked for Jasjim that worked on the car. http://www.another board.com/vbforum/f4...uestions-21088/ Would be sad if he is looking to flip it. Definitely a car to be shared though.
  15. The front bumper is a bit different too. This car got some special treatment from what I've read. Love the color combo! I think there are a few pictures from The Evans Gathering from a few years back on that site as well.
  16. I saw the AV at Caffeine and Octane, looks awesome. Did you have the TTG there too? You guys must have had fun terrorizing Alpharetta
  17. Ahh I see the bump now. I was clicking the other vids, but thinking it was the same vid reposted since it has the same opening shot, and I have NO idea what he is saying. Car looks mostly original and in great shape. Cheers.
  18. I'm all for people making their car suited to them, hell mine are (I don't have a CT though). The only thing I am worried about is the rarity of these cars, and the chance that maybe this is a short lived obsession there. If I see a periscopo with body cuts, it will be hard to take. Then again not my car.. Is that vid the matching suit guy an S2 car? I like the white cars in this vid. A little low, but the wheels look good, which is hard to do on a CT with aftermarket wheels. Exhaust sounds good too.
  19. I actually kinda like this one ...but I do feel guilty about it.... They can screw with the Ann cars if there is no other way.. I just hope they leave most of the S1, S2 cars fixable at least when this fad ends. Just goes to show you they really will make a CF hood for anything in Japan. Are there no members in this area on this site? I saw advertised too, there is a Japanese Countach comic book.
  20. FYI most NAPA stores stock the Permatex Anaerobic Gasket Maker part number BK 765-1189, PX number 84092 As far as a sealant between the outside of the seal and the housing I have heard numerous different things being used, high temp thread sealant, thread locker, RTV. I usually use red thredlock gel on the base of the seal and clean the surface real well. Some seals actually come with this hardened on the outside. But from the description here (seal wearing out quick) it should be wearing out on the rubber inside that contacts the shaft. There is not a lot you can do for this... all I can think is maybe putting a stronger spring on the inside of it, but that could wear the rubber down. Being an engine out service I would just deal with it... CT looks great, congrats on saving it from an abusive owner. Another one that could have gone the other way, Kudos. You seem to been enjoying it and driving it a lot as well. Congrats! Much better without the stickers too
