  1. Cali is the only one mandating water based right now I believe. I know Colorado and a few others are going to be there soon. And then yes, most others will follow through as well. As far as what is being used, I would say both. Those that want originality are probably going with single stage (if they can), and others are probably updating to BC/CC. I had asked about some of the later cars being BC/CC painted at the factory as some of the later colors had pearl in them, which is very hard to pull of in a single stage. I couldn't get a difinitive answer, but it is possible some of the later cars were BC/CC anyways.

  3. Is this why people wear socks with sandals?
  4. Also a white/red 88 1/2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Counta...=US_Cars_Trucks
  5. Great photos Peter, looks like a spectacular show
  6. Your car speaks for itself. Lookin good, cheers.
  7. No clue why he wanted your #, possibly attempting to double check your identity? Would not have let him in the car or let him take my pistol. But I'm guessing he ran the serial to make sure it didn't come up with any matches. LMAO, maybe. "Hey Cake it's your buddy Rick!", "Rick? Rick who?", "You remember Officer Rick Schroder, I pulled you over the other night and told you what a gentleman you are.", "Oh, yea, uhh everything ok Rick?", "Yea buddy, just want to know if you wanna go hang out and take the Lambo for a spin? I'll let you drive my cop car and turn on the lights if I can take the Murci out."
  8. Eh, they were working when I linked it, I'll get this internet thing figured out eventually. You should be able to go to this reddit thread and the links are on there, just scroll down. http://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/26fa...orum_calls_out/ I have no doubts you guys would be on top of something like this. There is all kinds of disturbing shit on BB.com tho , some of it is funny as hell but also a ton of dumb kids with no guidance in life. They probably have to delete hundreds of threads and ban hundreds of people a day, no joke.
  9. Here are links to the cache for the rest of the pages to the BB.com thread you guys posted, plus a rebuttle thread where someone called the dude out for being crazy. Those forums mods are going wild and banning anyone who sais anything about the guy or the threads. page 1 page 2 page 3 page 4 page 5 page 6 Rebuttle Thread
  10. I haven't seen a TR on the road in ages, but out of the blue I saw a dual mirror Testarossa White/Tan on the way to work this morning.
  11. Load on the lugs doesn't change either, for the same reasons you mentioned above. The load path stays the same as long as the new wheels are in the same position on the car. I prefer to call these "adapters" not "spacers". Spacers are smaller say 1/4" and mount the wheel out a little further utilizing the same lugs and thus the resting place of the wheel on the lugs is futher out and not flush mount which creates a lot of stress on the lugs. The adapters on this car mount flush on the original lugs and then the wheels bolt up to a different lug on the outside. There is an extra point for breakage, and I doubt the lugs on the adapters are real high, but that is the only extra stress your adding. Also if the wheels are supposed to rest on a hub ring you need to make sure the adapters have the correct size ring or you can use a ring adapter so the load is on the ring and not the lugs. Again no extra load, just an additional load point.
  12. Recording of call https://soundcloud.com/#the-regular-guys/ha...-responsibility
  13. Oh dear, this is the guy that did the bomb hoax. Calls himself a performance artists... What he hopes will happen no, cause if the Bostonians get ahold of him it's all over. Yes this is his vid too, I don't even. Seems like some kid with mental issues that watched too many early John Waters films.
  14. Some hacker is claiming responcibility for the tweet. Sais he fished some US Airways employees and sent the Tweet out. US Airways is saying it was an accident because they don't want to admit that someone hacked them. I can't find a news story on it, he was on the radio here this morning, so take it for what it's worth, sounded legit though. Originally intended to use the picture and hack Malaysian Airlines saying they had found MH370, but thought that would be too harsh. Says they did this tweet hack as well which I found a story for. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/18/b..._n_2711661.html
  15. Thats just a small kit, but still cool. It looks like he is taking offers in excess of $2500 for the large model. I'm guessing those are one offs, but it would really cool if he made them available to make.

  17. If you are at $35k already, I got some bad news. It is probably only going up from there. You definitely want to build it up. I don't think the 8" in stock form can handle too much power. From the price your quoting on the Timkin kit that is just going to be bearings, shims, maybe carrier bolts etc.. that will repair a worn rear, it won't let it handle any more power. $900 for a solid rear is pretty cheap, if that is rated for your HP requirements I would go with that. It is a lot better to have some wiggle room in the drive train unless you plan on driving Miss Daisy. As for the rust and stuff if it is just surface rust I would reccomend trying some of the 3M roloc pads (red) and see if they get it out. They fairly abrasive but won't take off much of the good metal. You also might want to look at Por 15 products. Even if you think you got it all out, it wouldn't be a bad idea to use some sealer and stuff even if it is just in the small cracks and crevices that are hard to get to. It really doesn't look bad at all though.
  18. Yes, pull the stuff out and set it aside. You would be surpised what little bracket or nut/bolt etc that you NEED when you go put it back together. A lot easier to have extra parts that get tossed than it is to stop working on something for a month while you track down something.
  19. Agreed, but they are doing a horrible job of saving face as well. They are apparently denying that they raided one of the pilots homes now as well.
  20. Wall Street Journal says yes (source cited as "US Investigators") Malaysia (who seems to be more confused than I am) sais no and "Boeing and Rolls-Royce have yet to comment." http://online.wsj.com/news/article_email/S...0MDEwMzExNDMyWj No doubt this whole thing is confusing as crap. The information changes twice a day and seems to always contradict itself.
