  1. I'm sure I can speak for all of us that we are very humbled and impressed by your accomplishment / perseverance. Congrats on a beautiful G. I'm curious how the gas and brakes work. Do you squeeze the ring to accelerate and keep squeezing it while driving for gas? Similarly, do you push the want at the bottom right to brake? I've always wondered how those systems worked, but haven't had the chance to ask anyone before.
  2. Bought a 930 Turbo back in the day on mine. Most large purchases require you to pony up the fee. When I find an exception, I jump. Could have paid my income taxes on it and qualified, but the IRS uses a company that requires you to pony up the fee.
  3. I'm pretty sure it was the CCX with the wing. The Stig crashed the CCX without one, and the CCR was slower still, if memory serves.
  4. Wow. Missed the thread. And I thought I saw it early, being in the States and all that. What did nobody sleep last night??? My bad.
  5. Well, the LP640 did it. Well, sort of. It hit 207 mph on the track, the highest speed they have ever attained in a car on their track. On the other hand, in relatively dry conditions, it only came in 6th on the lap with the Stig, tied with the CGT, 1.4 seconds below the Koenigsegg, and 0.8 sec below the Enzo. So, the top of the heap, at least on their track still is: Koenigsegg Zonda F Maserati MC12 Ferrari Enzo Ariel Atom Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Clarkson had his typical obnoxious things to say about it (not being a Ferrari, of course). The car did look impressively fast when driven by the Stig.
  6. OK. I give. How did you know to find Fuse 22 to pull out to permanently open the exhaust?
  7. AJ: Congrats. Beautiful car. Truth be known, I'm negotiating with a dealership over one right now. I'm looking forward to hearing how you like yours.
  8. I know you have mixed feelings about yours from previous posts. Care to elaborate? Also, I can't remember, did you have the Vanquish or the Vantage?
  9. Planning on getting a V8 Vantage over the summer for my daily driver. Fun and easy to drive. I really liked it a lot. I also like that I can get custom combos of colors/interiors etc.. so the car will really be what I want. I'm also concerned about reliability and the pending sale of AM. Any thoughts?
  10. I just sent my coffee out my nose. Best comeback ever. Retire the trophy. jry jry jry jry jry jry
  11. Ah, good point. I stand corrected. I'm embarrassed that I spent 5 minutes reading the thread. What a loser.
  12. Had both 930 turbo and Murci. I would easily blow his doors off with the Murci. No comparison.
  13. BTW, can we rename this thread to "Miscellaneous Drivel"?
  14. Paging 499. 499. Anyone, anyone. Bueller???
  15. Blech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :vom: :vom: :vom: :vom:

  19. Oh, the local news here said 50. Thank God, I was worried that Warren Buffett was going to be down to his last few bucks.
  20. Did you all hear about the numb-nuts that drove his Maserati onto the dry grass field at the Sun-n-Fun Fly In in Lakeland over the weekend. The resulting fire consumed 50 cars until it was put out. Now how is your insurance company going to react to a bill for 50 cars????? I think the Gecko is on life support as we speak.
  21. Ah, refreshing. Thanks. Good to be a member of the club.
  22. Just checking. Still no Lambo owner under my name.
  23. OK, I give. How do you use an animated file for the Avatar? I think those look really neat.
