Silver 99 SV at Interstate - History info requested
samuel930 replied to 215mph's topic in Archived Content
I had driven that car hard one day with Steve. I didn't know that it was a salvaged car. The interior was pretty beat-up with trim pieces missing and such. Lots of rattles. We raced it around for a couple of hours. Great fun. Sorry it didn't work out for you, keep looking. I took some pics from the day, I will put them up latter. I think it was the same car... this was about 4-6 months ago. I doub't he has had two silver SV's -
I just got mine from a local Rolex dealer. It took 30 months before it came in. I really didn't mind. When I first put the deposit they told me it would be 7600.00. When it came it I think the price had jumped to nearly 9K. Inflation they said. They are well worth the wait.

I sold mine for 75K, I knew I should have held on to it longer. Damm

Congrats on selling the Jalpa. I do know how you feel. Very bitter sweet. My Islero was a similar story, I tried to sell earlier this year, not much on Ebay. (Ebay Sucks for Exotics) Put an add on Dupont and wow, I was getting calls from Australia to Norway. Probably could have gotten more, but I figure I did so well on it, try not and be too greedy. As for the Diablo, probably not for me. I really like the G. A nice blk on blk will do nicely. It will probably be 6 months till I can buy, got this move to Ohio that is slowing me down.

Well, it's official. I am no longer a lambo owner. I guess I loose my title. Just sold the Islero to a collector in the Carolinas. I wont mention his name but he just recently bought a DD CT from Roy. The guy is building one heck of a collection. For those wondering about the price of Islero's. They have gone up substantially. I did very well. I really do think the Islero will be over 100K by the summer. From there.. who knows. I will probably be kicking myself in 5 years when I see one at Russo going for 250K. The CT sold several months ago to a member here. That car fetched a great price also. Overall after owning two lambos, I have more money in my car fund than ever before. Not sure what's next. I am moving from PA to OH at the end of the year. Probably will wait till next summer before buying ....... a G?

Let's see pics of the car, pre and post burn

Mine sold for 96K, confirmed and delivered. I did very well.

The windows don't go down????

I agree, that car is worth more parted out than complete.

I want the steering wheel. They are works of art, love to have one in my office. See if he will sell it.

Udo, here is your chance to get the Islero back

Mine will be back on the market in a few months. Proper advertising, no ebay. I'm still holding out for 80K.... I bet I will get it. -

I'm going to watching the results too... Hope it goes for 80K -
do we know what they were at least asking for it.
-
What do they want for it. Looks great. I got room for something new

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/87-COUNTACH...QQcmdZViewItem# Mine may have sold. I thought the market was softer than this. The guy has great feedback, apparently lives in the WA area. I think he got a great car. And my faith in the market may be restored. Will be missed. Let the shopping begin.

I know.. My bad

Hey, just saw that my Blk CT that is on Ebay is up to 89K and the reserve is met. This one I promise, I didn't bid on. Maybe I will get that Gallardo or Vanquish after all... It would be the ideal situation to keep the Islero and get rid of the CT.
-
I was trying to stimulate some interest. I know the process of shill bidding is wrong... let's not beat a dead horse. I only put in the min with no reserve, so technically I didn't raise the price. I have had a lot of interest with 6 people coming out to kick the tires. Oh well, I tried the market. Guess the price is not there yet. Will try next year. I still love the car.

Great idea, I would subscribe
-
Love the color, not sure about the rims.
-
Damm, that girl is cute
-
I remember the situation before, I was waiting for this to come out.
-
I'm going to Columbus this weekend, if anyone wants me to take a look at it.
-
I have had a ton of interest. Not sure if they are just tire-kickers. Loads of emails, info about repairs, body and such. I hope it sells, I got my eye on a few new toys. I will keep you all posted. If it does sell, it is good for all Islero owners (and previous owners, sorry), the appreciation that was always inevitable.
