  1. I already sent him the money for the subs with box.. amp is up for grabs
  2. Watch Green Street Hooligans if you want to get a better concept of football firms in England.
  3. This reminds me of last week when some loser in a beat up 80s oldsmobile pulled up to me stating that I dont know how to drive stick and that I'm a poser for buying a 6-speed sports car. Ive been driving stick for 10 years and have yet to stall/bog the Gallardo.
  4. I took my stock exhaust off last night and I'm going to put a fabspeed system on tonight but couldn't decide whether or not I should wrap the stock heat shield around the new pipes. So for those of you who have an aftermarket exhaust and cat delete pipes and do NOT have a heat shield have you noticed any plastic/rubber pieces or any wires deforming/decoloring? Thanks in advance.
  5. With older cars you're at the "edge" more often than their newer counterparts because the newer counterparts perform better. If taking a sharp turn with a countach at 70mph makes the rear end come loose and slide all over the place doesn't mean the car is "rawer" than lets say a Gallardo that can take the same turn at the same speed while maintaining traction at all 4 wheels. Doesn't make the Gallardo tamer than a Countach, just means the newer technology in a Gallardo makes it perform better. With that same analogy, one can say a caveman is wilder and manlier than a homo sapien. Does that mean I want to time travel back a few million years to be a macho caveman, eat whatever I can scavenge, and travel by foot? I think not. I'd rather remain a homo sapien, eat whatever I desire, and travel in my Lambo lol. My only nuisance with newer cars is the lack of the 3rd pedal.
  6. I love exiges but cant stand that guy and his need to show off on online forums. In life you're in diapers when you're a baby and when you're an old man who cant piss straight. In Ronin's case, he was a cry baby while an infant and a cry baby as a senior.
  7. Any idea how much it sold for?
  8. The other 2 on the list dont compare to the Gallardo. Get the G you wont regret it.
  9. From what I've gathered 145K should be a good price. Why dont you post the asking price, perhalps we can give better advice if we know where it's currently at.
  10. I'd say 100K for that car. It's going to be hard for them to sell with that many miles on the car. What Jakes motorcars ALWAYS does is buy a regular gallardo for cheap, tint the tail lights, paint the wheels black, take a bunch of good quality pics and mark the price up 10-15K from their purchase price.
  11. Thanks for the nice words fellas. Nath4N - As far as mods. I have a fabspeed 70mm system with cat delete pipes laying around that I'm going to put on sometime next week, 570 front bumper, SL sideskirts, SL rear wing, powder coat the wheels gloss black, red calipers, black roof, and some miscellaneous CF interior pieces. Prior to taking delivery I had driven an '05 and felt it needed more power so I had plans of TT'ing whatever G I bought. But after driving this '06 I feel it's fast enough (big improvement over the '05) so I'm contemplating whether I want to TT it or not. So for now the TT plans are on hold but we'll see how I feel a few months down the road. I'm sure I'll be bored by then Mako - I have nothing against the previous owner, he's a great guy. But as far as advertising the car IMO he didn't do a good job. Only put up 2 pics, no interior shots, didn't mention anything about a navigation etc. But not a second goes by without me being thankful for his mistakes lol cause I ended up with what's in my eyes the perfect Gallardo. LamboGator - Thanks man. The wheels look similar to the ADVs but they're actually the Rennen Modular Monolights.
  12. After months of searching I found "the perfect car." '06 Rosso Andromeda 6-Speed, black leather interior with red-stitching, navi w/back up camera, clear bonnet, with only 5600 miles. Car arrived on Thursday. It's my first exotic and has honestly surpassed all my expectations, I absolutely love this car! After a day of complete bliss and an ear to ear smile I sent it in to Lambo of Bev Hills for a complete service for a clean sleight and peace of mind as I plan on spending a lot of time behind the wheel. I want to give a quick shout out to George @ JP Logistics for getting the car to LA from NY in only 4 days when everyone else quoted me 3 weeks. I highly recommend them. For now here are a few low quality iPhone pics. I'll post better ones after I'm done modifying the car.
  13. Sorry for the stupid question but wondering if the rear gills on a Gallardo open? I know the Murc has "bat wings" that open up so I'm curious to know if the gills on the Gallardo do. They're just slightly open but seems like they could open up more so is there a button for it or is it a fixed position? Thanks in advance. This pics shows what I'm talking (not my car tho)
  14. Take it to a track event, you'll fall back in love with it.
  15. One of my all time favorite exotics. You're one lucky man. CONGRATS!
  16. The only reason it didn't make the front cover is because it was published in the same issue as C&D's 10 best list which always gets the cover. Doesn't matter if it were a Pagani, Ferrari, Lambo etc. none would have made the cover. The 670SV in 6-speed in my eyes is the last "true" lambo produced.
  17. thanks for the input guys. I'll stick to the Gallardo. A year ago the price difference was $40-50k between these two cars, now days it's around 20K so I thought I'd give the f430 a shot; quickly failed lol
  18. Sorry if this is a repost, if it is please send me the link to the original thread. How reliable are the F430s compared to Gallardos? I see some higher milage 430s (20K miles) so I'm assuming they cant be that bad. And as far as maintenance costs how do they stack up against gallardos? I know the average clutch job on a gallardo is 5-7K, any idea what the figures on a 430 are?
