  1. Mike Haber at Pro Auto is a great guy and car broker from my experience and I also remember his pricing was fair across the board on his inventory when I purchased my CT from him. He had CT's, Boxer's, Pantera's, and the usual rest....fwiw from my experience.
  2. odd need nsxer - just curious why you want one in 'any' condition? I hope you aren't building a kit car and trying to fool people with a 'real' trunk lid lol!
  3. thanks for sharing - awesome rides!!!!!
  4. no experience with the 964, but I am picking up my 4th 930 tomorrow. I absolutely love to drive them and for me it is for the $$ the best drving exotic out there. I have owned a '76, '79, '87, and my latest is an '86. The best of the bunch was the '79 - a true race car with luxury trim. I like the look of the first generation 930's of the 70's and 80's - for picky types the 86 - 89 models have the nicest front valance, lip spoiler combination with recessed fog lamps, and recessed headlight washers in the bumper - very clean. '79 and later have the nicer looking rear tabletop spoiler... Just a few thoughts.......
  5. In this range, perhaps a Maserati Ghibli Spyder? A Mistral Spyder - very lovely, a nice Bora, even a Khamsin (at half your budget). I like the Diablo idea or hurry and find a Countach!! Have fun - the hunt for the right car is always an enjoyable part of the process!
  6. Deal is done, I am picking up the car Thursday or Friday and I will post photos soon. I appreciate all the great suggestions, but was narrowed down to a 930 or an early Alfa Spyder. 930's ROCK!
  7. I have made an offer on a 1986 Porsche 930. I can't resist 930's. If I land the deal I will take some photos with my CT. For the record the car I am close to buying is a red 86 with black interior same as my CT - should be a nice combo! Photos coming for all you car nuts - should know later tonite or tomorrow!
  8. Definitely with you on that one. I love Mistral Spyders the most but way too expensive anymore. Nice Maserati's are too much and crap Maserati's are just crap! I love the variety of suggestions. I like the look of Alfa boattail spyders a lot am leaning toward purcashing one for my own tastes first and I trust they will go up - just my thinking today! Keep the ideas coming. I have at one time looked at nearly every suggestion here except the Buick Riviera - they are cool for sure!
  9. I feel like the early 911's have already 'moved' in price. They were under 10K all over the place a few short years ago and now well over 20K for nice ones. Do you still feel like they have a lot of upside? 930's seem undervalued to me in the 20K range for sure. They are bonafide super cars (race cars!) that I think will move up nicely (they currently are) and still have room to go. Just my thoughts on P-cars.... What do you think of the early Alfa's?
  10. Looking for opinions from the members here who know cars. What car do you think will appreciate nicely and still bring loads of pleasure driving while she goes up in value? I am leaning toward a Porsche 930 from late 70's - 80's, or an Alfa Guilietta/Guilia spyder from late 50's - 60's any others anyone else recommends for consideration? Thanks in advance...
  11. love it - more photos!!!!! These cars that have some oddity (color) have a lot of intrigue - especially anything that was done at the factory. I hope in your case a lot of this was 'factory'. MORE PHOTOS!!! Nice acquisition!
  12. I have kept an eye on that car wondering the same thing myself. Why so low and is it still for sale at that price?
  13. Ray PM me and I will reply with the e-mail contact for the 'factory' Countach cover. I have one ordered and already paid for in his next batch - due any day now. They are made by the same company that is providing brand new for current model Lambo's and F-cars. You could wait until I get mine if you want and I will give you an honest appraisal. Same goes for anyone here fwiw.
  14. Sorry, I can't resist posting because I am sincere - it is mine. When I originally went to see it for the first time, to see if I was interested in buying it, you know, to check out the 'condition'.....in a half a second I nearly fell over - to me anyway it is the 'condition' of my car that is over the top - color combination, bumper choice, wing, all okay with me. Probably should add that it being a dd (fastest CT) makes it my favorite model as well - that is what I was after when I started 'shopping' around nearly two years ago. DD's are my favorite body style as well, the right combination of body mods to get it just right....not a fan of door sills, body extra's on later models. I do like the blue cars a lot!
  15. Do you still have your 930? I think you had one???
  16. lucky dog! What is that blue thing under the car? Looks like a Countach baby pool or a petrie dish!
  17. Mike - what a tease! I was first to show interest in your Urraco - so I get first right to buy it - right? PICTURES!!!! I would then have the 'Mike' collection
  18. I'm definitely with you....exactly what I was thinking. I know his quality work well and am very curious about your Urraco fwiw!
  19. Cool Mike - it will be fascinating seeing the result of your work on your own dd! Go all out! What color combo are you embarking on? Please post photos of your Urraco!
  20. continuing on the subject - give some choices or picks of cars that are really inexpensive, but make good beater/driver/investments....like Alfa spyders, or Fiat 124 spyders, etc. I like duetto alfa's, although they are moving up in value and now mid 70's air cooled 911's are a good buy. Got to mention the Triumph cars - like the stag, TR6 and spitfire - cool cars and throw in an old Bronco (half-cabs are my favorite).. Others???
  21. can't resist - LOVE them both....here goes....
  22. I think the Islero and Jarama will always be solid cars in terms of collectability - I like the style of both and their motor doesn't hurt them either
  23. Is this thread about the red 79 CT currently on eBay and bid up to $135K? It sure looks beautiful. What is the consensus on this car? Someone alluded that it may have been in an accident? Is that true? I have a friend who is interested in it and I figured people here would know the ins and outs and details of this particular car. I have met over the phone the owner (Scott) and since we both own dd's we discussed them only. I didn't even know he had this car until a week ago. Thanks for any information.
  24. another 'factor' that may explain the Countach's rise in price vs. it's similar era rivals...the boxer and later the testarossa is the overall popularity of Lamborghini vs. Ferrari look at the rap video's....9 out of 10 rappers choose Lambo's, lambo's have more street cred than Ferrari's these days..it is clearly #1 and #2 anymore in my opinion
