First Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Greetings to all at Lambopower. Seems to me this is yet another awesome forum that has a tight group of contributing members. I'm new both to this forum and Lamborghini. So pardon me if some amateurish questions are asked. I will be taking delivery of my white LP560 in less then a months time. Was wondering what kind of mods are currently available out in the markets for this car? All I know is the Tubi exhaust and thats all. Could anyone recommend various power and body mods? Such as ecu reflashes, who's most reputable, dry carbon fibre body trims and so forth. Lowered springs, and do they make clunking and knocking sounds etc etc. My apologies if I seem slightly straigtfoward but i could use some help and suggestions right now as I do plan to mildy mod this car. Both cosmetic and power. Rgds, James

First Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Definately not putting turbos on this car.
pockmark Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Definately not putting turbos on this car. Then you are limited to Air Filters, Exhaust, ECU. Send it to a reputable shop as the exhaust/ECU are typically custom jobs at thip point. I am sure some tuners such as MS Racing will be coming out with new stuff soon. You can lower the car on the factory coilover. I would leave the exterior stock as it looks perfect the way it is. Every attempt I have seen to mod the exterior of the LP560 has been horrendous. Both cosmetic and power. Rgds, James From my understanding, the best you will be able to achieve with a LP560 short of a TT is about 500 rwhp. Not too shabby, but not big power, either. As far as exterior goes, I agree with Mike. Leave it alone. Looks awesome from the factory. Goodluck, and congrats on the 560!! Beautiful machine!! jhanso Report post Posted June 1, 2009 i would say the same as above, but some more carbon fiber accents could be done to the exterior. other than that, a nicer stereo, wheels, the usual mods. if you want more straight line go, the only big gain, unless you spend a boat load of time developing some supercharger system or do TT, would be nitrous. (i don't think i would do that though) good luck w/ what ever you decide to do.

First Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I've seen pikemike's ebay link. The grey custom rear spoiler and grey honeycomb mesh looks like shxt. Wtf's wrong with some people taste. I understand what you guys meant by leaving the car alone. And are those wheels even standard or original wheels? They look so bloody weird to me. I've order the ones with black callisto wheels. I went through the site Allan provided and really like two items in particular. The SL CF rear spoiler and the CF enjine cover with the original glass. Is it possible for me to reuse my own original 560 glass on that CF piece. I would think these two items would accent my car nicely. Not too much not too little while being unique of its own. As I said, I am definately not going with TT/supercharger setups. I have more powerful cars as of now and would like drivability over everything else. There comes a time when you just overmod your cars to the point its barely drivable and I'm definately pass that stage where hyper modded cars are annoying as hell to daily for me. Looking for inputs from you guys, I guess I'll be ruling out ECU reflashes too since I am located in Malaysia. Unless I'm going to know someone who's willing to fly over and flash my car, I guess it will not be possible. On a site note, I am sure not all exhaust upgrades are custom works? There has to be aftermarket bolt on exhausts out in the market? I heard of how heavy of a clunker the stock exhaust is therefore would love to save some weight there. I presume 30 to 40 pounds is a conservative figure? Is Tubi exhaust overated? And could anyone suggest the different brands of exhaust systems out there so I could google them up? I will be taking delivery supposely end of June to early July. Will post some pics up then try to be a contributing regular here. Rgds, James Honestly with filters/exhaust, your car will be fast enough for what your use will be. I am sure there will be much more bolt on options soon. Tuners take time to perfect things before they put them out to market. What color is the exterior?

First Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Lol Smurf. pikemike, the colour is Bianco Moncerus. Here's the spec of the car my importer emailed me. I would assume is it a standard equipped LP560. I left out both the interior carbon fibre trim and carbon fibre brakes as they cost way too much to justify the options. Would much rather use those savings for my own upgrades later. Nero Perseus Leather Bianco Polar Stitching and Piping Uni-Colour Sportive E-Gear Nav Bluetooth Anti Theft System Black Callisto Rims White Side Lights Electric Seats Heated Seats Lifting System Rear View Camera Style Pack Travel Pack Steering Wheel in Perforated Leather Branding Pack Leather Pack 2 Nav Track ADR You mention filters and exhaust would be enough. Is that the BMC filters and Quicksilver exhausts? Thanks for the links.

I believe you would have to go through ZR Auto (Canada) to get the goods. Mr. Vroom Report post Posted June 1, 2009 Congrats on your purchase and welcome. Most of the ecu flashes/airboxes for Gallardos have been a waste of time, with very little improvement of performance. I would expect the same results for the LP, a 5% improvement at best, barely noticeable. Getting a new exhaust will change the sound, and drop some weight, but not add much power if any. Also, new a exhaust might trigger CEL lights. Start thinking wheels, have a look at some dymags, they will save you a lot of unsprung weight, look good, and also improve road feel of the car. jefflambo Report post Posted June 2, 2009 I could be wrong. I assumed it was the same as the standard Gallardo. No the coil over is not adj. on the 560 different shock springs a arms etc. 560 is very different from other Gs even the liffting system is defferent it is no longer uses the p/s pump but has it own elec. pump and resuvor. peakcompletions Report post Posted June 2, 2009 Congrats on the new ride!!! As a side note the Heffner Twin Turbo setups while having a great amount of power drive like stock!! I said the same as you about not modding my Gallardo until I drove a TT Gallardo I hear you on the more powerful cars etc.. as well though... either way you won't be disappointed... It is a nice feeling that if you ever get beat on the street you can say "just let me get my other toy out of the garage hehehe" What other high HP rides do you have? I would suppose the scene for ecu reflashes's still too young as of now. Guess I'll wait a bit longer for better reflashes to come togeher. You mention of new exhaust triggering of cel lights, is this because of O2 sensor before/at the cats causing it? With the exhaust air pressure being freer flow and higher volume, this causes the o2 sensor to go crazy? If so how do you reset the CEL light? I'm sure a battery disconnection would not suffice. Is there a dealer diagnostic tool/computer that can be used to do maintenance/resetting of DTC codes and such? If so whats the name of the thing? Like for my Benz, its call Star Diagnostics for example. Congrats on the new ride!!! As a side note the Heffner Twin Turbo setups while having a great amount of power drive like stock!! It is a nice feeling that if you ever get beat on the street you can say "just let me get my other toy out of the garage hehehe" What other high HP rides do you have? Most of my rides are rather mild cruisers with high hp. I've never own a "look at me" kinda car such as the LP560 before so this would be a first. I do have a CL65Amg, SL65AMG, S55AMG (yeah i know.. lots of Benzs..) and for the last 12 months, been fooling with my JDM R35 GTR. It makes 535 to the wheels on 4wd dyno dynamics. Hitting 1/4 in 10.8seconds and 100mph in 7.2 seconds. This is all measured using Driftbox from Vbox. I first saw a LP560 back 6 months ago in Singapore and instantly just fell in love with the lines of the car. It is just so beautiful. Never was one to look for attention but now I guess I'm in for it Could anyone recommend more air filters and exhaust system pairings? And how's the CF enjine trim from Heffner's performance on the fitting?

Resetting is simple, any OBD II device should be able to clear CEL codes. Heffner's CF engine bay, diffusers are great products.
