That's gotta be 4chan. It's such a mixed bag there, the power of the internet. I love that /b/, when it comes down to it, has a lot of good people in there, and I HATE animal abusers.

 

No offense but 4chan is pure trash, the users and people who like to visit this website.

I have heard a few positive things about 4chan that, while may not totally redeem it, does have a better light cast onto it.

 

Positive Example(s):

 

- An attempted shooter in Texas, was ID'd by the pictures he posted and reported to the proper authorities, perhaps preventing multiple deaths.

 

- A thread of school shooting in Sweden, whereupon the poster was arrested after 4chan gave the authorities his IP.

 

- The previously mentioned Cat abuse videos, the kid was arrested due to the efforts of 4chan.

 

- This latest development may play out for a positive.

They even had a little daughter (granddaughter?) and they were giving a spoon of that lard to her tea every fcuking day. There was a lot of fuss about it in the media but all they got was suspended sentence and a fine. I don't know what law they have in Latvia but I'm pretty sure it's very similar there (very close to Poland, similar people mentality).

4chan gives people a place to post GORE pictures and what not.

 

4chan is the perfect place (with a huge amoung of visitors) to express yourself and if you are actually messed up and saying things like ''I'm going to kill everyone in my school'', this is the perfect platform for it because so many people are on there, that's what that person wants.

 

It's all about attention and about letting people know in a quick and easy way what your plans are.

This is a classy site...but the matter of the fact is stuff like this is happening regardless if we view it on here or not. As much as I hate seeing events like this, I would rather be educated about it happening than turning a blind eye to the horrible things that are happening in this world.

Just like the real world 4chan is a mxing pot of good,bad,garbage,fun,information etc. I enjoy it for original content and hilarious pictures you can't find anywhere else. It also has the mentioned disgusting things too. LUCKLY for me I am a grown up and have free agency to choose what I partake in and view. I don't need anyone telling me what's appropriate and what's not. Some people use it as a forum to spew filth,some use it as in this case for good. Just like anything else,if you don't approve then don't be part of it. Same goes for television and movies,just because you don't want to watch it doesn't mean you should take the option for others to make it. God I love this country

I dont go to "4chan" (However I did just click on it and Im WHOLLY unimpressed) so if it werent linked here, I wouldn't have known about this.... And Im glad I do. Its an evil act, and we gain nothing by censoring it. Im happy to do my part to make this guy into kryptonite.

I'm not going further into this but skokos, you know what's the most viewed section on 4chan... and you know what is posted on there. Perhaps most of the times funny pictures but I've been really sick by what I have seen when I once visited the site.

And that's where it goes wrong, people consider those things normal which shouldn't be and I wouldn't like my kid (if I had one) to visit the site, I want his mind to stay clean.

Sure I agree completly. I wouldn't want any child to visit that site..but just as any porn site or adult content site there are disclaimers that pop up (at least most of the time) and it states this is a adult content site and that you must be over to 18 to view. I'm not approving of what takes place on there,I'm just saying the internet as a whole is a dangerous place and its up to the viewers discretion to police themselves. I don't want to see a asian chick pooping in anothers mouth.
