Guest skokos

Apparently Roy just ordered the only monterey blue SV built. Since you are both in washington and he already has the white SV I would love to see you get the three cars together for some photos :icon_thumleft:

a quick photoshop with tints, it looks good!

The tint does look good on the coup, but this is the Northwest were it's dark a lot as it is. I have fairly dark tint on my H2 and it bugs me because there is never enough light inside, except in the summer.

We will have six up here, possibly seven. Two of the six are currently out of the area and both are rare colors. Roy has two, one white and now Monterey Blue on the way and a gray one is heading to the University of Washington for an event so it should make for an interesting photo shoot when they are all together.

Does roy really sell that many cars or does he have a bunch of side business because the stock that goes through his website just doesnt seem to change enough to warrant (2) half million dollar cars. He was stating that the blue one had a sticker of over $500,000 and claimed it to be the most expensive optioned SV.

Yes, Roy has another business. As for the most heavily optioned car, he couldn't possibly know that, but if you go with the big sticker on the side and all the options on the list, they are not over $500k, they are right at $500k. He was talking about buying a second small wing so who knows how he's making that claim. I believe the only difference between our two cars is I didn't want the big SV sticker on the side, and the color. That SV sticker is about a $2,000 option. Because Roy's also in the car business he likely pays a different price and definitely doesn't pay sales tax on the trade in on each car, so he's not paying the highest total price for an SV. Roy's never out to pay the highest price on a car. As for his cars, you may want to post the question somewhere where he can respond on his own and clarify.

Roy knows the Lamborghini market very well and believes that SV values will become very strong because of planned limitations on future production of the LP640 and and end to the limited production on the SV. He also believes the SV is the best car Lamborghini's ever made so he's making his bet. There are a few of us who have looked closely at the market and think the SV will do just fine compared to other cars.

I didn't meet Roy until the summer of 2008 and long after all the fighting that went on here. Some love him, others not so much. He's always been nice to me and he does do a lot of really decent things for the Northwest car community. He does sell a hell of a lot of cars, especially Lamborghinis and he's brought a lot of people into the brand and that's a good thing.

That is one of the most amazing cars I have ever seen. Thanks for making a special car a little more special Tommy, you are a true enthusiast. Good luck with it!

Thanks everyone. The reaction to the car has been surprising and a lot of fun. I now feel like if I scratch it some of you will come after me with pitchforks and torches. I'm glad I could share the excitement. Believe me, I feel very lucky.

having clear windows leave car more vivid and retains contrast also to black parts of the car and more airy feeling in cockpit. I would do tints only if it was all black SV and wanted to do batmobile/murdered out look.

just my 0,0001cents. :)

Someone mentioned VIDEO, yes we want video, some tunnelsoundtrack recorded from car behind would be awesome.

Agree!

I think this is the only video as of now. I took this when Tom was moving the car to the next spot.

got a mate trying to lower a SV, this is the response he got after he tried to lower it himself (he is a mechanic so he knows the go). a couple of things have been left out. does anyone have a different solution?

"Hi

tried everyone we know in Europe and also rang up Lamborghini in Italy.

The common answer is ‘not possible to lower’ the car, as the original Lamborghini dampers do now allow it.

That is what you know as well.

I have one contact in Germany, a Lamborghini Specialist and they offer a full performance suspension kit for the Murcielago.

As the Murcielago comes with 6 suspension struts, the kit is quite pricy.

RRP:

Frankly, there is no other that we know of, who can lower the car at all. That seems to be the only option.

let me know if of any interest.

Kind regards,"

Allan, be nice, I drove one and really though it was a nice car. It has my respect. I think there are ten of them in the Seattle area. I think we're up to five SVs!

And out of that group 90% are current or ex-Microsoft :P

Why in the world would anyone in their right mind want to lower an SV? Sounds to me like a lack of driving experience, purely to look cool with no other benefit. The LP640 Roadster is slightly lower than the coup and regardless of where I've taken the car, I've occasionally scraped. And someone thinks lowering an SV is a good idea? After all the testing the factory does to get the car as areodynamically clean as possible, with the new far more complex nose that can easily scrap, while still making it drivable on most roads? Wow, this is a bad idea. How many miles does this person have under his belt in a Murcielago of any kind?

tommy, are you going to change the exhaust?

While this is a lot quieter than the OC exhaust on my LP640 Roadster, I have no plans to change. I plan to keep this car as stock as possible unless someone proves to me on a before/after dyno sheet that a new exhaust would yield significant benefits for the SV while maintaining proper back pressure, etc.

Huh? I've never worked for Microsoft and neither has Roy. That's three of the SVs. Two of the others, one is a factory demo that will be here and the other two I don't believe were Microsoft employees. There is another buyer out there and he too has never worked for Microsoft. So, the score as far as I know is 0%.

Damnit.

Way to ruin my fun with logic.

too much space between the top of the tyre and bottom of the guard.
Sounds to me like a lack of driving experience, purely to look cool with no other benefit.
i wouldn't think so. and looking cool in a SV is a given considering what a bad ass car it is.

as said too much gap.
After all the testing the factory does to get the car as areodynamically clean as possible, with the new far more complex nose that can easily scrap, while still making it drivable on most roads? Wow, this is a bad idea.
dropping the car 10mm will make zero difference in performance good or bad. skid plates are being made for the front end.
How many miles does this person have under his belt in a Murcielago of any kind?
