The engine is about to go back in so I thought I would start a thread on my TT upgrade to my 2008 Gallardo Spyder with E gear. The first set of pictures are the carrier taking the car away in late January. The next is the car unloading in Charlotte. The next is the engine before it has been taken out with rear panels removed. The final is the car before the engine is being put back in. I will post more as the car progresses over the next two weeks. Should be done by mid March just in time for the warm weather.

Can't wait to hear your initial impression.

Yeah I'd like to see the look on your face the first time you drive it. :lol2: Are you going to Charlotte or taking delivery in OH? If you're going to Charlotte I may have to drive over with a camera. :eusa_think:

I am getting the 1000 whp pump gas option. I have added the new Motec ECU that adjusts boost per gear.

That being said you have 1000 whp in every gear with standard ECU, 1-6. With our new Motec ECU setup you can now do boost by gear with the E gear. It as been available on the 6 speed Gallardo's for a while and now have it working in the E gears Gallardo's which is even better.

What we can do is set the power/boost level where we want by gear ratio "not mph" which will not be accurate due to wheel spin so the boost by gear ratio has always been the way to go. So for instance we can set the car up to be..... for example 700 whp in 1st gear, 800 in 2nd gear, 900 in 3rd and 1000 whp in 4th. With the straight 1000 whp in the lower gears you will have to do some feathering but with the boost by gear set up it is a lot more manageable esp with the E gear.

With boost by gear you can just pretty much flat foot it and just pull the paddles ;-)

Scotty,

So, yes, that spider does belong to TX Turbo. Our cars will be there on Monday. I look forward to more photos!

I should have a bunch on Monday. Twin Turbo kit is installed and running, tuning is happening now. Should be finished this week, I have to head out of the country this week so I won't see it until I return. :crybaby2:
