Aventador Prices? Depreciation?

I realize this is all idle conjecture, but hypothetically speaking, if you were to buy an orange '12 Avendator with 3k miles for $415k today, what do we think it will be worth a year from now? How about in two years?

My guess is around $370k a year from now and mid $300's in 2 yrs. Maybe less, but we'll see.

How many miles would you be adding yearly?

I would guess a little highter than medici78, unless you triple the miles.

For me personally, it wouldn't be anymore than 1k miles per year.

For those kind of miles I would invest the money and rent one whenever I fell the need to drive my 1000 miles.

It's not worth 415K now. That many miles, orange or not, should be under 400K.

I live in a small-ish town that has 6 months of winter and I work from home. What few miles I do drive end up getting spread around 3-4 sports cars during the summer.

So is the rough concensus that an Orange '12 Aventador with 3k miles should retail for around $400k, and could likely be worth $370k in one year, and maybe $350k after two (driving 1k per year)? Does anyone significantly disagree with this?

Mostly yes! However, it's such a strong car, I wouldn't be surprised if the prices don't fall to or below 350K in the next 2 years even with 5K miles.

Also, it's worth noting that the base MSRP's will likely continue to go up so that will have an impact on keeping prices between 350 and 400K.

The car is a knock out in almost every way, when was the last time you heard of a car company getting a model THIS right.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini...ab500a&vxp=

2012 Nero Black Lamborghini Aventador with only 500 Miles !! Available NOW!!

current bid : 500,300

Currently there are 12 bids and the auction ends in 10 hours.

Beautiful car... Used 2012's are still going over sticker.

Don't believe everything you see. Those bidders could be friends or employees of the dealership trying to artificially prop up the bid price. There were only two recent completed listing for an Aventador that supposedly sold:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini...r#ht_500wt_1182

This Nero '13 Aventador at LH with less than 500 miles didn't pass $400K:

eBay isn't a good medium for determining/assessing the market.

They cannot remove bids in the last 24 hours.

I know of 5 2012 Aventadors that sold for over sticker in the past 2 months. I can't share those details because it is not public information. I can guarantee that they are still strong and selling in line with where this eBay listing is going.

12 hours and if the SELLER agrees to the retraction, it can be retracted. There are many ways to work eBay without bid shielding too.

I'm with you. I see the market price of used Aventadors has been and is above MSRP, but my point was that eBay isn't transparent enough to determine what's happening in the market.

This.

This orange one has been relisted and didn't even get a bid at $404k the first time around which is well below sticker the way that car is optioned:

That black one has 8 hours left and high bid is over $1M. Sorry, but I doubt that's legit.

LOL! Yeah, I guess ebay is not a very reliable source. I never do much on there. I wouldn't bid on a car on ebay, that's for sure. After I posted it Aaron let me know the deal with ebay. My bad!

I know of a few Aventador's selling above sticker recently that are 2012's. It won't last forever, but its still going strong.
