Product for cleaning Diablo Alloys

Does anyone use a good product for cleaning the rims on the Diablo, something that's spray on and wash off? They are are a real pain to keep clean, especially around all the studs, and just about every time I wash the car, I need to use autosol polish on them.

Your best off giving each wheel a very thorough clean - including the rears where you can't see and then sealing the wheels..

I used bilberry wheel cleaner as its one of safest out there.

A soft brush takes care of cleaning round the wheel bolts.

After this you can seal the rims with a decent dedicated wheelcare product. I used planet polish wheel and shine:

This process took me about 1.5 hours PER WHEEL!

Good old fashioned soap and water works for me now the wheels are sealed. The dirt just falls away.

Go easy with a jetwash if you use one. Its very easy to wreck the lacquer if the water gets behind it at pressure.

If you check out the detailing world website, plenty of useful info over there.

Second L33.

Bilberry by Valet Pro

Thanks for all the replies, I ordered up the Bilberry cleaner Lee mentioned as nobody stocks it near me, Meguiars I can get locally, so might get a bottle of that too.

If I could get the SE30 wheels it would make life easier lol, no studs on them

P21s is a great acid free wheel cleaner and its safe for carbon ceramic brakes which while not applicable for the diablo is a big bonus for later cars, also if you have a harley davidson dealership near by you can buy S100 wheel cleaner as its the same product just renamed for harley dealerships.

carbon ceramic brake rotors will absorb all the chemicals.

this is from the ZR1 owners manual

"Customers and dealership personnel must be advised to NEVER ALLOW WHEEL CLEANER, TIRE CLEANER, or BRAKE CLEANER TO CONTACT THE ROTORS. Ceramic rotors will absorb any material that comes in contact with them. Only soap and water should be used to clean wheels and tires. Any product that is applied to the rotor surface will cause damage to the surface and is not covered under the GM warranty."
