kinnsella Report post Posted September 29, 2014 All Lamborghini has to do, is exactly what McLaren did with the 2012 12C: Up the horsepower via the software on all cars being built, and give all the cars presently in customers' hands a quick 'no charge' re-flash at the dealers. Problem solved !! This is just what McLaren did when the 2012 12C got whipped in the press. Not nearly as easily done on a naturally aspirated car. FrankN Report post Posted September 29, 2014 How could you tell that from that video??
TougeSpirit Report post Posted September 29, 2014 You'd see flames on the overrun from the 12C if it did, if not during the actual acceleration itself. Fiske's runs against a modded 12C showed it didn't really affect performance either way. Miniscule amount that is not what this difference is

RM-S8 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 I cannot overcome MP4's rather generic look, even if it's the fastest from the bunch.

TougeSpirit Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Take a look at Fiske's test. Even fully modded, it makes little to no difference. Ignore the truth all you want. If you really want to think the mods made it faster, this is then what you'd see with a 650S against a Huracan. Either way it's much slower than one of its primary competitors. And no, it's not a 135 mph trap car

TougeSpirit Report post Posted September 30, 2014 That's the difference between a 12C and a 650S. Good luck getting that kind of midrange with cats and exhaust.

rampante Report post Posted September 30, 2014 Yes, Lamborghini is going to rewrite the laws of physics. Keep the faith ....... I see the Huracan certainly is outselling the McLaren brand. The 650S sales are slumped and everyone knows why.
CA_SL65 Report post Posted September 30, 2014 That probably would make the Huracan quicker than the Aventador - won't happen! ergo, the 12C is always faster than the Huracan, since the McLaren is already faster than the Aventador. All Lamborghini has to do, is exactly what McLaren did with the 2012 12C: Up the horsepower via the software on all cars being built, and give all the cars presently in customers' hands a quick 'no charge' re-flash at the dealers. rampante Report post Posted September 30, 2014 That probably would make the Huracan quicker than the Aventador - ... The Aventador is said to be getting an update; it will still be ahead.
