PCJR Report post Posted July 12, 2015 Congrats ... On back to back wins ... Looks like Pete may have added that 109 Tune ... Nope still running the 100 file...just improved my skills Funny thing as I was filling up with 100 pump at the track, one of the GTR Goliath gang came over and asked "2R?" I said no, stage 3. He replied "still ok performance". I chuckled and said yeah it's OK. When we went out for our runs. One of their two cars where sitting at pit out with the hood up, clearly having problems. The statement that came to mind as I drove by: "TO FINIISH FIRST, FIRST YOU MUST FINISH" Don't care who is driving what else, UGR cars are still tops in class with durability and reliability! Thanks to the guys at Slipstream for putting on another fun event. I brought my son with me and took him out for a couple of passes, he had a blast. wooosh Report post Posted July 13, 2015 I noticed the trap speed and ET was different than the last event ... Was the same 1,600 ft course used this time???
MetzgerTurbo Report post Posted July 13, 2015 I noticed the trap speed and ET was different than the last event ... Was the same 1,600 ft course used this time??? 1800ft + significantly warmer/more humid weather. Also this time around only fair runs with a target speed of 60 MPH counted, anything between 55-65 MPH was fair game, but .01 over or under was a DQ. duhawks Report post Posted July 13, 2015 I heard Vinny's 1R beat the Goliath GTR that made such a big deal about beating a turned down 2R at tx2k. I don't even think Vinny is a 1R because he doesn't have the billet intake. Any videos? Pete and Vinny Congrats! You guys are cleaning the house up there year in and year out. This event looks really nice.

Pete, As I recall, you drive your car to the event, about 1.5 hours (there and back) ... That's says a lot about the durability and reliability, that UGR builds into these cars ... Soooo ... Any updates on your move to an Aventador???

MetzgerTurbo Report post Posted July 13, 2015 Here's the first of the many videos to come, a quick recap from the crew at Flag Nor Fail / Speed Warehouse (I'm sure many of you remember their "Vipra" from 2K earlier this year)

Yes you are correct about the drive time 3 - 3 1/2 hrs. round trip. What's even better is that up to, racing and back home in less than a tank of gas. Pretty amazing given the distance and how it is being used in that time frame. Decided to hold off on the A for now. I am still enjoying this car way to much to give it up. Plus I am concerned about the power drop off and a TT A is out of the question. I will have some pictures and maybe a few short vids I will post up. PCJR Report post Posted July 14, 2015 Awesome !! Great job Pete ! Thx Jerry! You need to get that 6MT out to one of these events. As much fun as it is on the street is by no means a comparison to what it is like in a controlled environment on the track. Looks like a blast , and the "track" environment vs the street is where it's at. If you ever get to TX , I want you to peddle my 6MT car...I'm curious on how it feels vs your Egear
