Super Countach engine

I am building what Lamborghini should have built for the Countach to start with. Some know, some do not, Lamborghini built a 5.7 QV engine, could have used it in the Countach, but used it in a boat instead. So I am building one.DSC_0002.JPG

A few pics for now, will post more later.

I thought it had to do with his chad account not being accessible or something.

Yeah, that must be it.

The reason why you saw Chad's post on Lambochat was simply because you are Chad. Don't treat us like morons and we will treat you the same.

You have the same IP as CHAD and Chad is not banned. Yet.

Keep up this ballshit charade though and you will be. Grow up.

Yeah, it's a good thing he didn't lay out all those valves!

Valves, somebody said valves.

1st pic, all valves

2nd pic shows stock valve size

3rd pic, my custom valves. These valves WILL not work with the stock pistons.

Just stating his earlier reasoning. Chad strikes me as an engine guy...not so much tech savvy....

Bullshit

He knew what he was doing when he posted he SAW CHAD'S PROJECT and this is compounded by the fact he never responds to this fact.

Does this really need to be explained? Read the links I posted, this has been Chad's mo since this forum started.

Jesus, not trying to argue. Just want to see the damn engine.....

If all goes well, will be posting more pics next week. Have several other projects that need to come first.

Had a problem with the block. Had remove all the main studs, cleaned and reinstalled, using never seize, on them BAD, BAD idea.

Studs should have been installed using Loc tite.(SP). DO NOT use RED Loc tite on aluminum, use BLUE.

So, because of that, most of the studs pulled, so am installing something like Heli Coil to take care of problem. Really want to save this block, as I have spent around $3000.00 on machine work alone on it. It has been decked, to make sure it was square, line bored, and bored for the new VERY oversize liners.

Speaking of breaking things, it is just one thing after another. Torquing main bearing caps, DARN, DARN 2 of the 8 mm studs at 20 lb pulled out. Also not happy with main bearing alignment. So off the shop to check alignment and bore if necessary, better now than later..GeorgeV12

If you're pulling studs at 20 ft/lbs you have other major issues.

Darn it, just another setback. The special crank that I had done, seems the snout where the gear is, is not true. It is out .010, so that ain't gonna work. Off the crank specialist, whatever it takes.

On another note, I am also building a 5000S engine, torqued all main 12 mm studs was torquing the 8 mm studs and the last 2 pulled. Only takes 20 ft lb on them and they pulled. Must be just not my last few days. Then again the 5000S engine had been worked on by people who had or have no idea what a torque wrench is, much less how to use one.

Oh well the sun is shining and it is warmer, so all cannot be bad.
