kmb58 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 Clear title per Anthony at Gullwing last night. The front lip, which I think is carbon?, has some damage as well. Front is fiberglass with Carbon laminate accents. Likely a simple repair. More concerned about the missing side skirt.. lol

pakisho Report post Posted January 27, 2017 Kmb, this is not the car you are thinking of. I believe that car was put back together in yellow. Could this be the car the Las Vegas casino pit boss/casino guy was using to go back and forth between la and Vegas? That was the car I was referring to. Apparently that car also had nitrous on it. abolfaz Report post Posted January 27, 2017 That was the car I was referring to. Apparently that car also had nitrous on it. But that wasn't the car that burned. I'm pretty sure the car that burned with the nitrous was either sold to or sold by a nascar driver right before it went up in smoke. The LA/Vegas commenter car didn't have nitrous. falconsprint Report post Posted January 27, 2017 Can anyone report the asking price? Very unlikely this car had any engine modifications as it look like the stock exhaust in still in the car. Can't tell for sure.

Kevin M. Report post Posted January 27, 2017 I have more pics if anyone wants to see them, from what myself and Steve can see visually the car needs.. missing plenum " fuel rail" cover , missing correct wheels , missing CF flapper in wing, the roof dents, damaged front bumper , damaged wiper blade, unknown dash condition ( with cover over the top) ,worn seats / interior leather, missing correct engine bonnet shock on the right side, broken/ripped door weather strip. Car is not salvaged, plates show it's been non-op since 09, I pulled some info, also looks like a 3 owner car from VIN in CA, car is in Berkley now heading to Fresno Monday, since it was heading to my home town i was going to check it out on Monday, but a deposit was taken on the car. kmb58 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 What is a breaker? I never heard that term. sorry.. language from a European friend.. a wrecker/dismantler/breaker... someone to part it out.. just a thought as it is a pretty big project.. and parts are scarce.. key03 Report post Posted January 27, 2017 Got it. I guess that is why I paged you as I thought it may go that route and get parted out. I just never heard that term, Breaker.
abolfaz Report post Posted January 28, 2017 I'm guessing he meant broker?? Highly doubtful. Small parts sell quick, big ticket items sit forever. No one would pay that much to part it out.

kmb58 Report post Posted January 28, 2017 Someone made mention to me recently about repairable cars being parted out because of the cost and availability of parts. I'd hate to see that happen. If I could legitimately have a crack at this car I would sell mine off.

Overseas is different as there are certain countries that mandate totaled cars be parted out and to be never made roadworthy again, i.e. UK, so they're not bidding for the salvage against Shazam types that hope to put the cars back on the road. Over here the salvage cars cost too much to purchase and while the small parts are easy to move, the big ticket items seldomly sell at numbers that would justify the purchase price of the parts car. What exactly constitutes your car? Is there any drivetrain? Body? Interior? Perhaps you're better off buying a damaged complete car that needs the parts you have accumulated to get back on the road. Some body pieces, wheels, chassis.. lights.. hub carriers.. rack.. column.. console cover.. doors... and some non oe parts like glass and some copies of pieces such as the dash, console, fenders.. inch by inch. I think it would be a wash in the end... Honestly, I think I have 10-15k more to be a rolling car, ready for drive train. Someone bought my engine err, at least, the one I had my eyes on out of the UK.. In due time. It will never be a winner at Monterey.. but it will be mine. abolfaz Report post Posted January 28, 2017 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-LAMBORGHINI-D...016.m2518.l4276 To put it nicely, you f-cked up missing out at that price. Make them an offer on what they have left of the car. You'll go nuts trying to find all the little bits a pieces.

I live in Buffalo and most people I know would shit their pants if they knew I spent what I have so far on this... gamble. When I saw that engine was gone, I was heartbroken. I am looking at other options.. Murcielago engine is probably inevitable as there are several out there. I suspect the plenum from the Diablo will bolt right up too, which will eliminate the electronic TB's... just a theory.. Double Report post Posted January 28, 2017 In comparison, the 'FLY" Yellow 6.0 with 54K miles in the mid-west...just sold off of e bay to a friend of mine for $155K...and it was all up and up on service, just had been driven is all. I thought you were talking about this car: http://ebay.com/itm/232197020727 I guess that people with Yellow 6.0's, like to drive them. whiteout Report post Posted January 28, 2017 If you go for a Murci engine. The 2002/2003 have the same ignition system as the 6.0, so you can likely get the 6.0 ecu to be "plug and play" with the 6.2 motor.
