Night Life Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Not new to the LP but a new admirer of the McLaren More I read on it, more Im starting to love the 650s spider. As a new to McLaren world as potential buyer what should I be looking out for in the 650s? Last question, is this an after market spoiler on this 650S spider? are there others? I love the big aggressive spoiler on the LT .

STEEVE1234 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 Parts and maintenance are very expensive. A friend of mine spent $10k on maintenance on 12C. I don't think it's cheaper for 650.

Night Life Report post Posted December 22, 2016 Love my 650. The car is insane Tell me more? How is the double clutch? is it raw or overly refined How is steering? do you feel the road or disconnected Is the ride as comfortable as they say? to much, not enough How big of a difference between regular mode, sport and track? can you shut off system? Are interior quarters tight, looks like you sit side by side, not my favourite to be honest, i like having space between passenger. . Are interior quarters tight, looks like you sit side by side, not my favourite to be honest, i like having space between passenger. . The transmission is whiplash fast, the car accelerates non stop in every gear and has the best ride quality. Steering is perfect , the car does everything you want it to. The modes all feel a bit different and you can shut them all off yes I'm 6 ft 1 205 pounds I have no problem with interior size This car totally makes you recalibrate what you think is quick it is definitely closer to a motorcycle than a car as far as acceleration, it makes my 2017 991 turbo feel like a dog . At mosport I was 2 seconds quicker on stock tires than my 991 GT3 ( with trofeo r tires ) in my first time taking the car there. Top speed on the Gt3 at mosport was around 250kmh in the McLaren it was getting over 270. I can't say enough to about how awesome the McLaren is and how it puts a massive smile on the driver and passengers face. Steering is awesome as well. Best brakes out there. The car is a little too quiet for me so it gets boring but otherwise and outstanding car! These are VERY basic questions that you need to answer yourself with a test drive.
NRG x Lambo Report post Posted June 29, 2017 wait another 4-6 months as the 720S deliveries start arriving. you'll start finding GOOD 650s options for sub-$200k. and like others have mentioned, despite some minor criticism, it is probably the BEST BANG FOR BUCK SUPER CAR. MrDoctor Report post Posted June 30, 2017 With the depreciation it's the absolute best bang for buck car out there. Exactly, but where does it stop? Would hate to take a $20-$50k hit on one after I've bought it, on top of all other costs.

I heard they don't have the proper tools to work on them, and McLaren wants it that way.... so all any work goes to the dealerships .... true.. false?
