I am selling my factory racing exhaust used only for 100 miles before I sold the Aventador.

 

This is the only exhaust NOT VOIDING THE WARRANTY.

 

OFFICIAL RACING exhaust made by Lamborghini.

 

You will notice a big difference on how your car react at low and high RPM. Car will be much lighter

Of course the Factory exhaust sound will be now a REAL sports car sound.

 

This is the part number 0R8340097 you can google it or ask your dealer, the MSRP is 11099 USD.

Is there an ECU upgrade?

 

I think you are leaving out the cost of an ECU upgrade and doubt Lamborghini would sell that without selling the exhaust.

Of course there is no ECU upgrade.

 

When you buy an exhaust you buy the part. If you want to Ecu tune it you can by Lamborghini or any other company who does Ecu / tcu tunning.

The dealer told me they are not 100% sure it would work and it could be a downgrade in both sound and performance.

my dealer wont do the ecu and I would risk warranty etc by installing a used exhaust. I'm sure its a good deal but not worth it to me.

It's a nice piece of hardware for sure but even for the regular Aventadors, let alone the SV's, it's more than a simple swap; quite a bit more in fact. As someone had mentioned, the dealer needs to submit the race exhaust S/N and the VIN of the car to be installed. Then the dealer will get the software from the factory to re-tune the ECU.

 

That's not to say that a straight bolt-on wouldn't work per se; after all, it's just an exhaust; but to get the whole ECU to be "in sync" with the new hardware, software is needed. And if it's not in sync, something is compromised and worse, it'll be logged into the ECU and if something is wrong down the road, good luck on getting Lambo to cover the repair under warranty. Moreover, not sure if the factory would allow a used part to be installed on a different car to begin with; an authorized Lambo service that plays by the book likely wouldn't want to touch it anyway. The waiver is to protect Lambo and its dealer/service from violating emissions laws on public roads. Technically, the exhaust is for "circuit and track use only", i.e. supposedly, it is not for general driving use. I don't think the factory had released any official info on its compatibility with the SV series yet.

 

I was very interested in this exhaust and both my Lambo dealer and I did plenty of research on it regarding emissions, noise, factory and local requirements etc... The cons outweighed the pros in the end so we decided to pass on it. Sincere regrets if this may put a damper on the potential sale but as a Lambo community, we should stand united and assist each other by sharing what we know.

Which one is it? Because nobody can refuse to do work for me once I cut them a seven figure cheque but if they physically can't perform the job because the parts or software don't match or they do not have the software it's a completely different story.

It's a 600k street legal race car - you guys who wanted this thing ... wow!

 

Why demand someone to throw on a used part to save 5k - you spend that on a good bottle of wine.

 

Spend the money get it done right or don't and you too can be on you tube roasting marshmallow while your SV burns

The exhaust is $25k where I am and I didn't get where I am by flushing cash down the toilet, if you aren't concerned with burning $5k on a bottle of red why are you concerned with burning $5k on a Lambo part which you could later use as wall art if you don't like it?

Been there done and it puts your entire engine warranty at risk - scratch that it voids warranty.

 

I get owner states almost brand new but that's like being half pregnant.

 

Understand the value of money but equally understand the risk / reward - SV is a special car not worth ruining it's history records for less than 1% of it's value etc.

Ok so let's get down to the real issue - why is the owner selling the race exhaust after only 100 miles after buying and installing it.

 

Im pretty sure its because he sold his aventador soon after installing it.

Why not leave it with the car and sell it installed - best guess leaving it lessened the value of the car.

 

These exhausts trick the emissions and that's why Lambo does not sell it from the factory even VCR said he and his dealer weighed all the options and chose not to install a new race exhaust.
