  1. I found another photo of this car, and the blue looks totally different : I think it looks nicer in this shade to be honest ... still would look a lot better in matte black with glossy carbon fiber parts, which would make those orange brake calipers look better too ... rear wing I'm not sure about, the Aventador doesn't need it, and it looks smoother without anyway. Would a black chrome wrap be possible ? Wonder how that would look...
  2. As much as I like the new Aventador I must admit I really love the look of the Murcielago Roadster, orange over black with orange stitching ... really amazing looking. And then I scroll down to see the Super Trofeo Performante ... now that is brutal ... any info on the kit used, it has the 'canards' on the side so it isn't just a Stradale front bumper, also the rear bumper is not Stradale ... it reminds me of the Reiter Engineering Super Trofeo Strada kit, but I don't think it is that one ... would love some more information on it.
  3. The first Aventador with an after market Jota style front will be completed next month ... I received confirmation of this and have seen the front already as a bare part ... it looks absolutely amazing, once the press release is ready I can show you this ... only ten or so will be made as it is very difficult to manufacture this part I've been told. I also know the RENM looks like the Aventador Jota up front too, but they don't have anything else than 3D renders at the moment, but they are working on that style too. The rear of the Jota, with that 'hanging' wing isn't in the planning anywhere as far as I know ... so you're out of luck there, but I'm sure some tuner will come up with something similar looking.
  4. Those are the new Diones wheels no ? Looks very impressive ... don't really understand why they would cover the front ... only thing that comes to mind would be if they also change something up front too, perhaps a slightly different front bumper like they did on the Diablo Roadster ... however the Murcielago had identical bumpers for both the closed and the open top version. With the news of one more final edition for the Gallardo before a successor comes around I'm starting to fear we will not see the Aventador Roadster in Paris in three weeks but this new Gallardo derivative ... damn.
  5. Those seats look really good, they fit right in with the rest of the car and don't look 'aftermarket' at all ... great idea !
  6. A different shade perhaps ... on the Bianco Canopus Aventador : Looking forward to the reactions on this one ... lol. By the way ... DMC put my mockup of the Nero Nemesis from the first post in this thread on their FB page ... I love it !
  7. What do you get when you mix 75% gold with 9% silver and 16% copper? The DMC gold plated wheel with a core of 100% forged alloy, a deep concave design with a double five spoke, three piece wheel. A quick mockup I did on a matte black Aventador : I rather like it to be honest ... it is different ... wouldn't park it in some city neighborhoods however ...
  8. I've posted these shots last Thursday already ... and it wasn't seen around the factory in Italy but during field testing in Germany ... it is all explained in the original article found on autozeitung.de ... but it is in German. I've written a article in English on these new spy-shots ... and I also mention how the roof will probably be stored, feel free check it out.
  9. Sorry about that, I could have linked directly to the German Autozeitung website too ... but I hoped a different article, with additional background information, written in English would be preferred.
  10. Now I think someone became very upset with the news about a UK based tuner creating an open top Aventador ... check this out : Aventador Roadster Prototype I know for a fact the Aventador Roadster (or could it be called Spyder instead) was about 99% ready in March this year ... someone told me they had the car hidden inside a truck on the Geneva Palexpo grounds ... just in case ... but they decided to show the Avenador Jota instead (apparently it was only decided the night before the press days, at the VIP event, the car could be shown ... as the buyer might have pulled it from the stand) Take a look at the shots in the article ... they show a really nice engine cover ... I so hope they show it in Paris already, I would love to see it in real life ... however, that would really mess up the plans for Jon I guess.
  11. I've seen that Countach in person on August 15. 2009 at Hever Castle in the UK, no rear wing and a white leather interior ... looked amazing :
  12. Race Aventador ... now you have my attention. Can't wait to hear some more about this, I talked to a German company about preparing a GTR Aventador in style with the Murcielage R-SV and they deemed it would be difficult to compete with the 458 Italia race cars, so 'reputation' wise it wouldn't be a good idea ... and now you loosely mention Race Aventador in a reply ... love this forum!
  13. These shots are amazing ... as is the car, love the Arancio Borealis shade on the Superleggera and those wheels are a very nice alternative for the standard Scorpius rims. Which stage Twin Turbo is this one running ?
  14. The carbon fiber fuel rail cover is amazing, I love the glossy look ... but for the central console I would go for a satin finish too, fingerprints make it look dirty very quickly ... glossy parts look great ... for five minutes. Just like my metallic black car ... looks amazing after it has been detailed ... for about an hour, after that the dust starts to settle onto it again and you just keep cleaning it with a microfiber cloth
  15. I heard they are making the first carbon frame roof section right now and the glass is being molded to fit, should take a few weeks ... and if I'm reading between the lines I think the finished car will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show ... that could upset Lamborghini a bit I think.
  16. These Bravo replica's were built in 2003 by Nick Papanicolaou in Australia ... saw photos of them fitted to a Countach LP400 narrow body and an Urraco. Nick mounted them to his own Countach in 18 inch : compared to the original wheels : Last thing I remember was Nick had to stop production for some reason.
  17. This really sounds an amazing project, can't wait to see it finished. I know about a Diablo SE30 Jota that was rebuilt as a GTR look alike after it was involved in an accident : The owner left the dual air intakes on the engine cover so people who know what to look for know it isn't a real GTR ... note the small 'Jota' above the GTR logo. I think I have some more photos of this car in the archives ...
  18. The classic five spokes do look very nice on the Gallardo, the chromed cross spokes look more 'third party tuning' I feel ... I guess it is hard to beat a classic five spoke design.
  19. Official statement from Oakley Design has been published, they are building two Aventador Spyder right now, the matte black one is already sold and a second one is being build on demand ... after that new orders can be fulfilled ... Should look like this:
