  1. Found only a few vids, but its Toyota related. So don't know if yall are interested. We need more Gallardo vids! God those cars are sick!
  2. These numbers are just jawdropping! What were the fastest numbers in this particular event for the street cars?
  3. Love the stock look of the car. Don't know if you can consider a Lambo a sleeper, but if it could be, this would be it! BTW, nice house!!!
  4. You're hilarious. So you are openly admitting that there is a double standard. I don't see how a word so disgusting is openly accepted and used among members of the black community, but all of a sudden offensive when someone other than black uses it. You're a joke! That logic doesn't make sense. That word shouldn't be used by anyone, PERIOD! Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne could have a billion dollars and it still wouldn't change my mind about them. They're a bad influence on the youth with their filthy music and it's embarrassing that they're the face of "hip-hop." BTW, I'm NOT Caucasion, but thanks for generalizing.
  5. AWESOME! Ferrari's are infamous for overrating their power. The LP560 is the best Lambo ever made!!
  6. Now it's corporate America's fault, lol. You humor me. Some people are so quick to pull the race card when in fact it's hoodrats like Soulja boy, lil wayne, and the like that degrade their people by constantly referring to them as "niggas," women as "ho's and bitches" and only objects of sexual pleasures, and everyone else "racists." Sorry you don't like accepting the truth. And as the old saying goes, "money could never buy class" and it hasn't been anymore true with these uneducated, improper speaking, crotch-grabbing, underwear showing, irresponsible, thugs. BTW, it is laughable if you consider this hip-hop.
  7. Sweeet! Do you have a pic from the other side of the car??
  8. Stock is boring! Let me ask you this King-640, when does anyone ever test the handling limits of their car on the street? I'm gonna bet that 99% of Gallardo/LP640 owners do not take their cars to the track. The majority of their drive is on the street mostly going straight! So what's the point of 1000 hp? So you can go from point A to point B quicker! It has nothing to do with handling. And that Supra joke does not apply to an AWD car like this; that's the beauty of it. With your logic, there is no point of any performance car on the roads then, just cause no one can use its full capability, especially when it comes to turns.
  9. We know that they all eventually go broke, stop payments, find spiritual enlightenment, and try for a comeback as a changed person. These rappers spend more than they earn in hopes of becoming bigger and better year after year.
  10. Classless thugs. I'll leave it as that. What's even more sad are the people that buy this shit.
  11. Gorgeous. That pearl yellow is something else on that Gallardo! I love, love that you left the car relatively stock as far as the body goes. I hate the LP560 front conversions going around. Love that it's a true 6-speed, the yellow piping on the black leather is a nice touch, and those black HRE's over those yelow calipers.............TITS! Do you have any ass shots?
  12. Wow the things people will pay for. At least have a fast car to rent out.
  13. Then why are VBOX numbers such a big deal then? Actually, I could care less who came first in the tuning of these cars, and my money will go to UGR everytime. With John Reed part of their team, it's a win win in my books. You are getting the best from quality, to custom fabrication, to tuning with UGR IMO. With modern day cars like this, in order to hold up to anything you throw at it, it's all about the tune! If you can get big numbers and quicker times reliably, why wouldn't you? If anything I see UGR defending itself from loyalists of competitors.
  14. I only have experience in a E-gear Gallardo. With the manual car though, I would turn of all traction control devices, rev to where peak torque would occur, then drop the clutch. You don't slip the clutch. Launching a TT Gallardo is no different than launching a stock one. Unless you can build boost off the line, you are not going to notice a difference as the torque will not be too different at launch. Talk to your tuner and ask about a 2-step. I don't know how well the drivetrain can handle it, but you never know if you don't try. Until then, stick to roll racing!! Manual turbo cars without a boost building device at launch will surprisingly get slaughtered by many less powerful cars from a dig and you will be playing catchup. It's just the nature of a how a turbocharged car works.
  15. Again, many of you are comparing a manual transmission F.I. car to an auto F.I. one. Given the same specs, the auto will always be quicker as already stated. The mid-10 second GTR and 997 turbo have the advantage of not only AWD, but being able to launch with boost off the line and maintaining it through shifts because of the type of transmissions they have. The very same 560 awhp GTR will also tear apart a similarly powered SLR on the streets everytime. It's a good example of a lower power car beating a higher powered one, but cannot imply that that would be the case in an SLR, unless of course it's on a prepped surface. UGR might have said that they need 850 awhp to get that 10.50, but it can do it with much less. It's not that the GTT is not a quarter-mile car, its that no one has the cajones to launch one properly; with boost. This is common with nearly all manual F.I. cars that don't have a form of launch control. Dropping the clutch at a high rpm is different than dropping the clutch at a high rpm with boost. As always it's always about the launch. Now back to the real world with likely events. Let's have Kisco's car with the same setup used to beat the ZR1 go against a stock SLR. Stock for stock, I would put my money on the SLR being quicker than a ZR1 from a dig and a roll nearly every time. The power available between and during every shift is greater in the SLR, although it has less peak power. On the highway, Kisco's car will win, but it won't be as drastic as it was against the ZR1. If the SLR were to ever win on the streets, it will most probably be from a dig. The only way to guarantee a GTT victory is if it is launched with boost off the line, which as far I know has not happened yet. The technology is there with the standalone units being used, but no one is using it. This is what explains the crazy trap speeds for these cars. So here's a summary: Stock SLR vs. Kisco's GTT: 1.) Highway: GTT; we are talking car lengths, but not as bad as against the ZR1 2.) Dig on the street: GTT, slightly only because it's playing catchup, only if SLR launched and hooked the best it could with the limitations it has on the street. The SLR will seem to have much more power than it has. It will be a close race and the distance between cars depends on how fast you are going with it obviously being greater the faster you go. The question is, how fast do you want to or can go? Now that's the best case scenario. This is completely dependent on how well the SLR launches and tires it is using. The chances of a stock everything SLR launching perfectly on the street is slim though. 3.) Drag strip: SLR all the way. Prepped track with near perfect launch and over 500 ft-lbs. available at the start. Easy winner! Remember this about the GTT. As long as it doesn't have some sort of boost building device at launch, dropping the clutch at whatever RPM that it's normally launched at is no different than launching a stock Gallardo as far as available power at launch goes.
  16. No way on God's green earth! This is where the common sense thing is coming in. The extra power and AWD in the TT Gallardo is more than enough to compensate for its shortcomings.
  17. Common sense tells us that the car with more power, more traction (AWD), and less weight will be the clear winner. I don't know how a stock SLR fairs up with a GTT, but the simple answer is how the power is delivered. ALL turbocharged cars have lag. The GTT has to rev to hit full boost, isn't in boost at all between shifts, and have to re-spool lost inertia at the shift, thus having several interruptions during power delivery. The SLR, since it is automatic and supercharged hits full boost off nearly idle and maintains it throughout the run. The only interruption is when power is slightly reduced during shifts (computer controlled to save the trans. from breaking). This, though is enough to beat a more powerful car. The time that's wasted in hitting full boost, not spooling at all, and re-spooling is what accounts for the loss. Peak power doesn't mean shit. It's all about the "area under the curve" in a graph and available power at the shift meaning the average power of the SLR is higher than the GTT during a race............this is of course assuming the SLR is quicker.
  18. You are dead on. And remember, the stall speed of the SLR is at 2500 rpm. Your car is already producing more than 500 lb-ft of torque at that rpm. Not many cars can claim that! I don't know how you race, but when brake torquing you have that advantage of all that torque at launch. Unless the TT Gallardo's can build boost off the line, the SLR is the clear winner as long as it can hook it's tires. The Gallardo will be behind until it fully spools and eventually pass it, depending of course how much power it has. With turbocharged cars, it's all about maintaining boost. In drag racing, it's all about the launch!
  19. I'm not talking about drag cars with high stalls and trans brakes either. I'm talking about a turbocharged Gallardo vs. modified auto SLR. Take the shift times out of the equation, but instead think of it this way. Put a boost gauge in both cars. In the TT Gallardo, with every shift there will be a drop in boost pressure and once the throttle is open, a rise in it. In the SLR, even with every shift, that needle in the gauge will slightly drop; it's almost constant. That's the difference! No matter how "lagless" the turbochargers are in the TT Gallardo, the throttle is closed between every shift, and boost is lost. It still has to re-spool. That's the power loss I'm talking about. Those milliseconds make a huge difference because not all the power is there!
  20. Yes the auto may never miss a shift and rob more power overall, but regardless of how quick the e-gear shifts compared to the auto, it is losing power between those shifts whereas the auto isn't (at least with forced induction.)
  21. I could understand how some of you dog lovers feel betrayed by the law, but the man did his time.
  22. Yes a real race vs. hypothetical will be much different as errors are factored in. E-gear and the SLR transmission are completely different. One is an automated manual and the other is a full-blown auto with a torque convertor. The e-gear still has a clutch, remember. There still is a delay between shifts. Regardless of how fast the shift is, the clutch iphysically disconnects the engine from the transmission and the throttle is electronically closed between shifts although your foot is completely planted on the ground. This slows down the turbos and with every gear changed, it is re-spooled. In an auto, the throttle is open at all times; hence the no loss in boost between shifts. The next closest thing to an auto is the dual clutch gearbox found in the Veyron, M3, GT-R as the next available gear is already preloaded; no delay. From a dig though, like you said, it's hard to beat the AWD advantage, but with proper tires, the auto SLR will always have the advantage. Brake boosting and automatic shifts with no loss in power wins all the time.
