Try to buy one with late serial number. Mine was one of the last 50 built in 2012 end of August I have had 0 problems 3000 miles early cars had all kinds of problems late cars not.

It was part of the MSO that was ordered on the car they did the Carbon sills with the McLaren on it, the red stitching on the seat and the Carbon Air brake. I think if you already have the carbon sills the car rap people can do it for you.

Yes it was displayed at the Rodeo Dr. show and as soon as the sun hit it people were lined up all day to take pictures and ask the name of the color to make fingernail polish, packaging for there new line of some product and to even paint there old car. I was really surprised at all the comments like the best looking car ever it a beautiful all day stuff like that. It made me think none of the people at the show must have been told online that the car is bland and boring.

MP4 is allowed to participate they can only have so many of each car you entered late other MP4 were entered early I entered months ago and was excepted about a month and a half ago I believe it is the only one. Those people are not the ones that decide.

It could, all the other performance numbers increased. All the factory numbers were posted before the update, after the update there were all the private posting from the track showing how much faster the 12c was, that was just about the time the dealer incentives came out and most all the 2012 were selling out. It just don't make sense why McLaren doesn't promote there numbers that's what sells cars.

That would be nice as the story gets around the internet that the 12c is much faster then already thought that will help sales and support resale.

All the gear numbers give a theoretical speed it still need to push through the air in 7th gear to get there. Do you believe you can do that in 7th gear it has an overdrive ratio.

The part that confuses me is Mclaren lists top speed in 6th gear at 205 and 186 in 7th gear yet this 215 is in 7th gear. Can they push enough air in 7th to reach 215

It is hard to believe they would downplay there top speed by 10 MPH The story is posted by a reputable site who knows maybe they were hoodwinked.

You are correct the numbers add up Aventador DRY 3472 coupe 3583 Roadster McLaren DRY 2868 with lightweight options 2945 without You have 715lbs Plus add all the additional fluids the Aventador holds

Lamborghini all wheel drive a few hundred extra pounds. Lamborghini v12 a few hundred extra lbs. Just the extra fluids in the v12 could be almostl 100 lbs A few hundred here and a few hundred there tends to add up

All those reasons come into play only if you have the first reason that is you don't like or need a convertible and will never put the top down, then the other reasons just add on, why would someone not buy the coupe if they don't have a need for top down use. I am referring to the Mclaren not the Aventador 250-300K

There are reasons to just buy the coupe. If you don't like convertibles and would never put the top down then add it is 88 lbs heavier that makes it slower 2 MPH less top speed less interior and luggage space 30 to 40 grand more coupe roof more streamlined looks are subjective

Like I said before the Dyno is good for checking before and after upgrades but not to determine real HP. Do you think this Aventador has 545 hp and the other one has 634 hp.
