  1. That's freakin awesome! I have a Go Pro guess I should get a suction cup mount for it. Car sounds great btw and a little Dexys Midnight Runners playing in the background goes with the era.
  2. WOW! Fantastic score with that one! Love the Bianco Perlato color. If you ever bring it to Scottsdale I could set up a little CT reunion at the local C&C I put on. Enjoy!!!
  3. Very well said!!! Could not agree more!
  4. Allan, See what plugs you have in the car. The original plugs should be Champion A59GC. As recommended I replaced those with the NGK Iridium IX plugs and car runs fantastic! If you need the number I will check when I get in.
  5. Keep up the good work! You seem to be coming along fine. BTW, What are you doing to it once the engine is out?
  6. Curious what was your experience with the "brokering" route? Looks like a very nice example and you should be able to sell it easily on your own. I agree with others that you should list it on here. Does not hurt or cost anything.
  7. The person by the car said the car has 1100-1500hp depending on boost and fuel used. Wonder what the RWHP dyno numbers are if it was ever tested.
  8. I am running NGK's . Runs as smooth as a fuel injected car.
  9. If the problem is the windows not going up or down those switches are easy to repair (no need to buy new ones) unless they cracked apart or something which it doesn't look like .I only see the fiber optic lighting device is hanging. What happens is the contacts inside get corroded or dirty and then the window will not work obviously. All you need to do is take the top part (with the arrows) of the switch off by prying it slightly open on the sides. Couple of tabs that it pops off of. Then be careful not to loose the little balls and springs inside that the switch pivots on. You will see the brass contacts that fall out and just lightly clean or sand at the contact points for a good contact. Little grease to hold the balls on the springs as you put it back together. Kind of hard to explain but really simple switch once you see it all apart. If he is slightly mechanically inclined he should have no problem. Tell him just to pay attention how it is all assembled as he takes it apart.
  10. Nice work on the car. I like the fact that your body shop removed the flairs to nicely prep and paint everything underneath. I see alot of people take short cuts and just leave them on and paint the car without removing them. Keep up the good work
  11. I was just trying to say that even though it is very hot outside your car should still be in the 80 ish range. As far as I know Diablo temp gauges only measure in Celsius and I thought everyone that owns one pretty much is aware of that
  12. Your car is running too hot. It gets to 115 outside ambient temp here in the summer and my car runs at 80. Check your coolant level first. Also maybe you have air in the cooling system. Try bleeding the system. Also make sure both cooling fans are running. This does not cost you anything.
  13. I had a previous 88.5 and it was a great car. I like the white/red one. It has the euro front and rear bumpers. The black/black is nice as well.
  14. Saw it this weekend. Would kill to have this in my stable. Would look even more kick ass if the interior was white
  15. Sounds like your solenoid is stuck. The starter is loading up the battery and that's probably why you are getting the sparks when you go to connect it. Try getting to the starter solenoid and hitting it with something. Might help disengage it. Had the same thing happen on one of my 12cyl F cars. Lucky for me the starter is on top so it was a easy R&R.
  16. That picture you posted it very deceiving, and I can see how you could be lead to believe that. Notice the shadow over the gaps that gives the illusion of a larger gaps. The fit and finish on the car is immaculate as factory. It is also all factory lambo parts. If you ever want to view the car I will be happy to show it to you. Here are a few pics of factory Gt's
  17. Very nice!!! Look forward to seeing it in white
  18. Emilio, What are you asking for that?
  19. Exactly!!! Mine arrived faster than in the US and the date codes on the tires were newer from Longstone. I only use Longstone for all my vintage cars. I bought some Michelin's for one of my Ferrari's from Coker and the tires arrived 10 years old already. Sent them back of course.
  20. Also IMO I do not like the color combo. Its one of those things where people see a different color and think its cool. Which I do also, but if I was ordering the car I would not pick that for sure. Tough sell IMO.
  21. Fantastic! So you went with the WLED X4 bulbs? For some reason the link is not working for me. Those others were just a little too bright and fit too tight?
  22. Wow what a difference! Great job!!
