6 Aventador & Private aircraft behind the scenes video
medici78 replied to VA-Viper's topic in Automobili Lamborghini
Nice vid. Damn, they look good in every color. I have preferences but, so far, I haven't seen a color I would pass on if it was a good deal and not be happy with it. -
RB, you definitely did well going with the coupe. I see no value in a pure Roadster like the Veneno. Some might argue that an Atom or Cobra (replica) are in the same boat, but to the masses they are still "attainable". A Lambo Roadster is another matter, thus my issue is the attention. After owning a Murci Roadster, I learned that you are subject to massive attention at all times if the roof is off. With a coupe the attention is on the car. With the Roadster, not only do they look at the car but everyone wants a look at the guy who is driving. I can only imagine how many notches it would be turned up in a Veneno. Sadly, I got so tired of it, I had the roof on the Roadster 80% of the time, even on nice weather days since I used the car quite often. The Veneno Roadster could have been a winner out of the gate using the roof panels like the Aventador. But after a few outings I'm sure the owners who will actually drive their cars will end up commissioning a custom roof, which should have come from the factory to begin with. I'll take a higher degree of privacy in a coupe than having my mug showing up on Instagram driving a multi-million $$$ hyper-exotic at every red light.

What tires did you have with your previous setup?
-
Not sure if you're doing a 1R or 2R but on my 1R its good as long as they're warmed up and the weather is above, say 70 degrees. Colder weather can be a bit scary if you're not prepared. So far, the consensus is the R888 tires are the way to go.

Yes, that does say a lot about the determination involved in continuing with the 90's 911 platform. Eddie Bello has been racing over 20 years with the same car, improving on it over time. However, its apples and oranges. UGR impresses from building an empire from the Lambo TT market in less than 5. This is a car with a setup that can be easily repeated on any Gallardo and there's a line around the block waiting to get their car done. From an engineering and business perspective, I have to give it to the UGR. But yes, from the smell of burnt C16 and Toyo rubber emanating from my garage, you can deduce I'm biased. -
They'll convert cars for $100K. Makes more sense to buy a fire-sale Karma vs the VL. Either way, it will be nice to have the good looks of the Karma and big balls to back it up.

Wow. That is some serious engineering on all levels to get the car to do that. What is the price on one of these?

I vote for W16Quad. At least folks who know about the car will get it and the rest won't know wtf. 1001hp and IGO 253 might egg the wrong people on. -

Congrats! Can't wait to see vids! -
I lucked out. One of my neighbors has a fleet of Big Block Chevy musclecars (all with loud exhaust) and the other is an older retired guy with a Dinan tuned 5-series (surprisingly loud) he daily drives as well as a '32 Roadster and '50 F100 (hot rod). They're cool as hell and won't give me shit about my loud cars, lol.

There's some folks on here who also have trouble believing it, but its much more fun to live in teh game than on the sidelines talking shit. I did have a vacuum leak on mine that was easily rectified, but the root cause had nothing to do with the UGR installation. The only real increase in running costs for me has been the C16 expense.

Car looks awesome as is. Leave the blacked out shit for another car. -
Another vid of the Spur For the first time, i prefer this sedan over the coupe.

I think drama just naturally comes with the car game. I have to say though, there's nothing like skipping all that when going with a proven package like UGR's. It won't be cheap, but its as close to drama free as 4-digit horsepower gets

The way you two guys are going, I'm guessing D.P. is a double entendre...
-
Congrats. That's a hell of a car!!
-
Haha, not surprised here. You won't be disappointed. I drive my raggedy 1R at least 4 days a week. I'd drive it more if I was running pump gas, but the power on straight C16 is so addicting that's all I run now. Even like this, I can take the wife out to dinner and scare the hell out of her on the way home.

Doesn't look like total dogshit, but doesn't look good either.

My Gallardo already gets more attention than I care to deal with, I can only imagine the craziness that ensues with the Bug!! Congrats on making your dream come true! -
Congrats!! You have your work cut out for you, but based on the previous projects you've posted this will be a good one! Definitely a great first Lambo as these cars are quite rare and unique!
