  2. Not even close. The dealer isn't risking their own money on the car plus they are also making a lot on the sale of the new car. Win-win for them in your case. I've had dealers offer to consign my car and give me all the $$$ towards the new purchase because they knew I'd be paying msrp.
  3. A simple "heard both: one is shitty and the other is less shitty" would have sufficed, but that was awesome. Thanks, VCR!! I'm wondering how difficult it would be to upgrade the Aventador. For the $4k, I'm sure there's a more economically effective aftermarket solution. The Murcielago was easy because it was already an aftermarket head unit to begin with, but these Audi electronics throw me for a loop.

  5. This is terrible news. I never met him personally, but knew several people who did business with him on a regular basis. From what they told me he was a genuinely nice person. No way around it, this is a shocking and terrible loss.

  8. I drive mine everywhere with no issues. My only real limitation is the R888 tires.

  10. If it was 1-owner and had all records and up-to-date on maintenance, it would be a good buy. Considering the presentation, something tells me that might not be the case.
  11. Personally, I wouldn't mind a bumper respray. It's the blending of the metal panels that makes me worry about structural damage. Hell, even cars from the factory don't always have a perfect bumper paint match due to the bumpers being made of plastic vs metal and other factors.
  12. Looks like the TT Gallardo section should now simply be TT Lambos. Great work, UGR! Nice to see you guys can offer such an amazing upgrade to one of the baddest cars out there and mad props to the customers who are taking the plunge and helping raising the bar in the game.

  15. Sounds like a blast, although I don't think I could handle the gasoline smell if it is was bad as the article makes it sound. I hope he doesn't get prosecuted for it, especially if the documentation is that solid. Regardless, congrats are in order!
  16. The G replacement will be coming out of the gates at around $250-300k. I don't see it hurting the market of Gallardos which are 1/2 that, especially the early ones.
  17. As has been implied, he slams the Aventador because it simply can't be made to drift in the same manner safely. I think the F12 is an awesome machine, but I think we all know damn well the average Joe will confuse it for the new C7. While I don't really care much what said average Joe thinks, I would be implied to agree, hence I will still take an Aventador over, admittedly awesome, this car.

  19. Aside from the perceived value loss (which if bought correctly would be negated come time to sell it anyway), why would folks be scared of a 22k mile Aventador? Personally, I'm confident these cars were engineered and built to last. The PO is an enthusiast, thus, he would understand the value and importance of proper maintenance vs someone who buys it for pure image.
  20. Don't let my statement mislead you. I may have exaggerated by using the term "scary". At no time did I think I'd lose control, but the tires were most likely hard due to the weather and not able to handle the hp level I was at. Under normal use, I haven't had any issues. I have not driven them in the rain, however, so I can't speak on that. I would stick to the proven formula, regardless. That review holds no value as us TT guys care most about straight line traction and are putting down at least 3x what the test car used in that review is putting down.
  21. I agree on the wrap. It's not a plus as it is hideous and highly personalized to the PO. However, the stigma of high miles is already on the car. People aren't going to care if you have 22k or 30k. You'd likely take less of a hit with this car vs buying a car with 4k and selling it with 12k miles. Either way is a win since you'd be putting 8k miles on an Aventador.
  22. There was a thread awhile back where folks were arguing over future prices. I was offered a matte white Lp700-4 with 4k miles a couple weeks ago for 380k (advertised price was higher). I passed since I'm still not ready to give up my UGR GTT (I know its old, but the pleasure of 1000-1500whp and manual trans still reigns). That car sold since, but good low-mile cars under $400k are out there now. You just need to haggle a bit in some cases. This car may seem overpriced with 22k miles @ $389k, but I'll bet its not a firm price either.
