  1. Here's my observation. Exotics are not exotic, nor special anymore. It's no longer "our thing". These forums started when you had to be somebody to get an allocation. Today the cars are pumped out in large volumes with attractive lease terms to anybody with a few hundred thousand followers on social media. Social media has basically made exotics "common" and now seeing one is not as rare. Lambo sold more cars than ever last year... Is that good or bad?
  2. But why bolt an Alienware desktop to the back? Dell should sue lol
  3. sexy for sure. hybrid will be interesting, maybe smoother delivery of power down low. ushering un sub-2 second 0-60 times maybe?
  4. If i start posting photos from my photoshoots, will you all start showing up? lol
  5. It has been dead for a bit, but in general the entire exotic community has been quiet. I was at LV_Eric's house the other day with SupercarAce and we were discussing not seeing nay exotics around Beverly Hills. Aside from my street, I can go almost a week without seeing one on the road.
  6. 21 years later, I am still anti-aeron chair but the embody isn't bad. Honestly if the chair is a problem, try a workout ball, it'll keep your spine aligned, bad chair posture is what'll hurt you
  7. Screengrab + photoshop, pretty obvious solution
  8. "The Queen is dead" - Morrissey
  9. I pop in now and then to see what's new, but the virus has been keeping a lot of events low key and not everyone is going out
  10. Still surprised nobody has been flushed down the drain yet
  11. Sportwagon, all day long in that comparison. The tune ability as discussed is bonkers. It can give your golden retriever doggie-whiplash. The problem i have with the bull is that urus-q6-cayenne is to me as tahoe-suburban-yukon; soul-less platform cars with upbadging. I loved the urus up until the point i saw it next to its siblings and then i lost my Lamboner
  12. They immediately charged me something like 5% of my bids when I used it. Maybe because I came out swinging hard for a car. "https://bringatrailer.com/faq/" All bids are verified by a credit card hold to ensure commitment of potential buyers. When a bid is placed, we place a hold on the credit card on file for 5% of the bid amount. When the auction closes, the hold is released for all bidders who didn’t win the vehicle.
  13. I spent nearly 10k on bid "deposits" in the course of a weekend. To bid they need a legit deposit to weed out people, but the peanut gallery always has something to say, even for a bunch of tire kickers. Like other car auction sites for non-contemporary or special interest cars, people get emotional and irrational.
  14. I have a neighbor with a red Urus. For a long time I thought it was an Audi. Until it stops looking like an Audi with a bodykit, I am going to stay with the BMWs.
  15. Well considering how much are off the shelf Audi/Vag/Porka parts that are in it, I can understand the ease of that much volume. I see so many design notes from the siblings it makes me want to stick with the X6M
  16. As a p1800 owner, and also from Long Island, I can say in the honor of Irv Gordon, go eat a d***
  17. That's a nice touch. If Ferrari did it, they'd have massive logos, if Porsche did it there would be a 911 version that requires a $9k premium air package.
  18. Doing things for "exposure" is pretty stupid. You are totally right, when sales dip next time, they will show up and maybe the shady-as-fk dealers will pay for booth time. I'm not a doctor, but I think you'll live if you never see another exotic. I get more excited seeing a Z4M coupe, they made 2500 of those for the world, never see them.
  19. Mclaren won't survive a VC. Any VC going near them are vultures. What may survive is what was there before, a tuner shop or at minimum a parts desk with a guy spray painting bilsteins orange before slapping mclaren decals on them. Sometime in the future: I present to you the Toyota Mclaren Corolla Mclaren SLR Mclaren...
  20. Shows are expensive and don't have the ROI of dealer-hosted private events where you feel like a person and not just a drooling meatsack. If you want the attention for having a car or standing on the other side of the velvet rope in front of the commoners, that's on you. (not you specifically, obvs) It is not alienating from potential customers, it is knowing your customer. There are other brands that are everywhere, the lease queens with down-syndrome, a low down payment drives a mclaren off the lot right now like damned camry.
  21. yeah, that could cause tears in flesh along the seams as well.
