I'm not an attorney so please don't consider this legal advice. Furthermore, I'm not familiar with NY Civil Procedure rules, but my guess is they may not be very different from IL rules. Basically a state court needs to have personal jurisdiction over the person you are suing. In IL, this may be by way of consent, presence, or a long arm statute. The first two are not available in your case (although presence may be established by showing that this guy does regular business within the state, that doesn't seem the case in your situation), but depending on the wording of the NY long arm statute, it may permit the court to exercise PJ where there has been a business transaction from which the lawsuit arises. If that's the case, you should be able to file in NY. You will need to have someone personally serve him wherever he is located. If he decides to fight it, he'll either have to drag his butt to NY, try filing motions for change of venue (where it will be unlikely that he will succeed), or risk a default judgment. If you do get a judgment against him, you should be able to go to MI and try to collect from him there as the MI court will have to respect the decision of the NY court. Hope this helps a bit. Like I said, this is based on my knowledge of IL civ pro and not NY. You would either have to confirm this with an attorney or do your own research. Also before you start filing papers, you may want to check some MI state websites to see if you can locate some of his assets. If he is insolvent and has $10 to his name, you can sue him all you want and you still won't collect. On the other hand if he has some property, you may be able to get a judgment lien. Yuri

Based on some of the reviews that I read, these are actually solid links and the band is a very comfortable fit. I actually like the conservative look, and the power reserve adds a little change. The main problem now is trying to source one from Japan.

I'm just looking for something everyday but something a little classy. For some reason I am not a big fan of divers/sports watches, and most other watches like the Longines Master are out of my reach right now. It is a little odd that the date is in the 9 position, but I still think the watch looks simple yet nice. I have been liking Orient more and more as they seem to be a very reliable automatic movements that are relatively cheap. The red faced version was a 500 unit run for the Japanese market. The only place that I can find it right now is going for a little over $500. However, I did find a little bit of an older version with a blue dial and a dark case/band (pictured blow). I think I like the blue faced version more and have been trying to track it down for several days. This once again is a Japan-only market watch and is available there for about $400. I know this isn't what most people here spend on fine timepieces, but I need to pass the BAR and get a job before Rolex.

Here's what I don't understand. People spend mega $$$ to install force-fed induction systems yet they will do nothing to reduce the heat in the engine bay, insulate the fuel lines, or install fire extinguisher systems. What's so difficult about coating the exhaust pipes with ceramic, or installing shut-off valves which cut the fuel if there is a sudden pressure loss. Or at least install an engine-bay fire extinguisher. A local Supra owner has a system in his car where once a rip-cord is pulled, the car is filled with foam. Might not be great for the interior but sure as hell beats a fire.

I'm not sure if this kid is autistic but he definitely has a talent.

If anything, the 328 would be the car. How about a MKIV Supra with a 6spd? Right within that range with a few pennies left over for a nice set of wheels, a nice exhaust, and some suspension to lower the car a bit. Car sounds great, very reliable, can be used daily without worrying about crazy service costs, and with a simple decatted exhaust you're well above 350 HP to the rear wheels.
