Everything is repetition. I can swap a Chevy small block in about 2 hours solo. Well the wife on the cherry picker. The Lambo is surprisingly simple to wrench on.

Beer helps me stay focused when I wrench at night. No left over bolts so I guess I'm good to go.

I did it really for the sound more than anything. Based on everything I have read deleting the secondaries makes no real difference in power. Deleting the primaries will gain you some with a proper tune, but will lose low end if not tuned. I experienced that with my 04 that was straight piped. The car already had an LOC muffler delete so I hope the secondary delete will get me right where I want it sound wise. Honestly, the LP640 feels so much more powerful than the 04 that I don't think I would notice a small power gain or loss. Don't get me wrong, I'm a track junkie and love performance mods too. I'll post some track videos

12:12 am, woke up the wife. Sounds waaaay nicer at idle. I had straight pipes on my 04 and it's definitely not as loud. Will really floor it tomorrow and see what she does. Btw, Fabspeed fitment and hardware is top notch!

So I received my secondary cat deletes today from Fabspeed. Started my little project at 10:00 pm. Let's see how long it takes to get these kitties out. I just hope I don't regret scrapping the primaries later because it's a pain in the butt to do it again. Here's my progress so far 1.5 hrs and 3 beers into my mission. My goal is to wake up my wife by 2:00 am.

It's amazing to follow the car's story. I guess with so few gated lp640's it's not too surprising that somebody knows their story. As an update, the wheels were powder coated recently and the tint was removed from the lights. The bumper was only a respray, no damage. The front "modified" axels were replaced with OEM. I assume it had been previously converted to RWD. I love the car, hope somebody buys it and enjoys it like it deserves

Last time I spoke with the owner was about 3 o 4 weeks ago right before I bought my current egear. I think the guy comes off very honest and will provide whatever info you want. I love that car even with the wheels. My "problem" is I drive my cars a lot and I think I will be digging into a major repair within 3 or 4 years at the rate that I drive my toys. On another note, my 08 lp640 e gear is a surprising joy to drive. No regrets coming from my 04 gated murci

I was within inches of buying that car right before I bought my current car. I reviewed the recent service records and the car checks out good on paper. I got spooked by the milleage but at this price I think it's a solid buy. Previously listed at $225k which was too much for the miles in my opinion. I hope somebody picks it up and enjoys it.

Sold for around $200,000 US. Salesman just priced it like the e gears they had next to it

I would cut and no think twice about it. The car will look better, you will enjoy it, and the '02 is definitely not going to drop anymore with or without original tail lights.

My 04 (God rest his soul), was indeed a gated car. I kept looking for the third pedal with my left foot the whole ride home. I think the egear is admittedly quicker than my old left foot.

My new baby is home and I think I'm in love all over again. Egear is growing on me in just a few short miles. The LP640 is absolutely a better car than my 04. The brakes and power make all the difference. Loved my old car, but I hat to admit this is better. The nicer seats and carbon interior are also a big plus. So far very happy. I appreciate everybody's help and input in me making this decision. You guys and gals are a good bunch

Gallardo? What's that? You have me mistaken for someone else. I'm on my second murci and have owned enough old finnicky cars that I should have learned my lesson by now. I've just learned to pick my battles when I buy cars

I was within inches of pulling the trigger on the 40k mile car, we negotiated a price I was comfortable with, and the seller is a really nice guy. However, my "problem" is I like to drive my cars a lot (3 to 5 k miles a year) and I wouldn't want to ever get rid of a manual lp640. So....within 5 years I would be getting into some potential big repairs, including carbon ceramic replacement, seals, valves, and normal wear and tear from a starter, alternator, AC compressor, fans, just normal stuff that breaks on cars. Just too many "maybes" and "ifs" on a high mile exotic. My ford diesel has 100k and I'll drive it another 200k. A Lambo, different animal

My biggest concern is what 1300hp does to a V12 with over 60k miles. Same reason I walked away from the gated lp640 with 40k miles in Arizona. It's just rolling the dice on so many parts that may fail and cost big $$$

That's good to hear. I'm waiting for my '08 egear to get here and I am getting pretty excited. Was supposed to be here by yesterday, but looks like tomorrow instead. I will be going to the Bahamas for the next 5 days so I guess the car will be waiting for me when I return.

I can assure you 100% that Pirelli Rossos rears are impossible to get. I actually have one brand new rear that I am holding on to. However, the Pirelli Corsa system is available as an alternative.

I know of a 2003 (manual of course) available in Miami for very low 100's. Car is in good shape, just needs minor cosmetic stuff. 20K miles, clean title. One accident on Carfax. Black on Black. I'm thinking of buying it myself.
