  1. It is a Series 1 according to the registry. I think the difference your seeing is between the first 23 or so S1 car and this S1 car being in the last bunch. The "early" S1 cars had the smaller gauges as you point out. As well as the top vents, (which were left over Lp400 periscopa car bodys transformed into the S1 cars)
  2. The problem with a car like this, is simple. It will be sold and bought only by a person that is AWARE of the SV cars and knows to collect one as their future value is only going up. With that said, any REAL buyer on this car will have easily found all the History on it. Some good, some bad. I have reviewed all the paperwork/service work that was recently completed by the local Lambo Dealer to get it to mechanical OK condition, was about $6200. This is a good start. It still needs all the "extra" paint work corrected as well as the rear pieces refinished. Then you have the interior as well. The exhaust is not that big a deal. Then new wheels AND tires to fit the correct OEM wheels. I would put all the work at $35K plus a month of so do get it done. (This includes the new wheels/tires). There is also another set of SV wheels for sale (less tires) on E Bay for $10,500.00. I think this car is a GREAT car for a person that wants a SV and will be driving it, regardless of the miles, but for a collector, I don't think so. Once complete, you can never claim "no paint work" or ALL OEM Original. I think, once you complete the required work, this car would be a $410K MAX retail car. OH and by the way, we do not KNOW the life of the clutch...when all the work was done recently at the Lambo Dealer, there was no recording of a clutch snap...so that right there can be another 10K swing..or at least get a clutch snap prior to purchase. I do know as of this AM, the car was offered to me at $360K. If anyone wants it for that, I be happy to buy it and just transfer it to you on a wholesale note just to save you money. AND of course...ALL this may need is the change of the wheels...I think you would be surprised what a HUGH difference the CORRECT wheel will make on this car...the other little items, can take care of over time as you go, or may not be noticed much now that the FUGLY wheels are removed, which all they do is accent all the other mods...
  3. As of Friday afternoon it was still for sale...at $370K wholesale
  4. Needs correct wheels (Early Murcie wheels on it now) needs fuel rail cover (not cheap)...is the dash ok? covered with a cloth material now... I would guess with a full service, tires, wheels, rail cover etc etc...at least $70K worth of REAL service dollars needed for it........AND then its till a 56K mile car. In comparison, the 'FLY" Yellow 6.0 with 54K miles in the mid-west...just sold off of e bay to a friend of mine for $155K...and it was all up and up on service, just had been driven is all.
  5. My black low mile 89 crosses Barrett Jackson no reserve around 7 tonight...we will see..

  16. Yes, I prefer the SV without stickers as is white my Car #12. 1 of ONLY 2 remaining TRUE Gated 6 speed cars! Of course the best thing to do here is BUY a real SV!! I just acquired this one. It is available as of today, 28XX miles, one owner, car #95 of ONLY 186 EVER built WORLD WIDE. Still in Canada, so saves you a LOT of import fees and taxes. It is a homogolated car so it will be on its way to me here in Seattle if not sold in Canada in the next few days.
  17. A local customer to me bought the car a few years ago. He then traded it in to us a bit ago. We sold ti to the current owner who was in the accident with it. It was a nice car when we sold it.
  18. Correct, but the deal feel through and he kept the car. Thought it was worth more then we were going to pay for it. It does have the in-correct wing on it for a 01 car. When we got to the closing of the deal, he then told me about the paint work it had done to it, on the roof, due to dents and other locations. No service history and tires were date coded. If we had bought it at what we first agreed to, it would have been worth it. I would have done a 45K engine out service, new clutch, new tires, new suspension bushings, new shocks etc etc...and maybe remove the wing or apply a correct one for 01 cars. IMO and experience, it was going to be $35K to get it where it should be for me
  19. It is nice to see that we all agree and watch out for each other. I work with Brian very often. He and I seem to get things done for our members here. Which ever way you go, Brian or me, you wont be dis-appointed. Call me direct or e mail if you wish to go into details. 425-787-6200 [email protected]
  20. He is quite correct. I am very familiar with this car...and let me just say, if it is a true value at $695K..then my GT #74 with 6500 miles is a 1 million dollar car...... BUT, it does not matter...as mine is not for sale.
  21. If you ever need them, I have a set of extra wheels for the SV-R as well as a set of brand new side lexan windows for the SV-R...came with my SV_r and have never needed them Roy
