  1. anybody know how fast the wind was clocked at? i am asking because some of the cars look like they were hit by high velocity projectiles, maybe that "pea gravel" that was on the ground went airborne perhaps? i can see the pole damage, but what the hell went into / THROUGH (!) the sheet metal and through the freaking safety glass on all those cars? the damage to some of the cars is stunning. what a terrible loss, for all the car guys. good luck Jason.
  2. well, i will add : Jason, i have enjoyed your car for its wonderful color and history from the first day you posted your purchase thread when you bought it. i am so sorry see to see someone i " know" as a gear head have go through such a thing. however, bear in mind you should, and most likely will, be presented with the option of getting some serious cash as a settlement, AND be allowed to keep the car to repair on your own, or sell as is. i would avoid at all costs, the car getting a "salvage" title. this can be done during the settlement negotiations. this way, you can keep the car, have cash for the car, or more pressing matters, and then fix the car as you can, when you can, and enjoy it. personally, i would fix it, and drive it. as a car guy, i would buy a Diablo like this if it had full disclosure with before / after pics. i am not alone, and i would think there will be a market for the car, even if it is repaired. its not a Toyota, there are not that many out there. good luck to you, i hope all the parties involved come up with a quick solution for you ASAP.

i would not use Wolf for defense, but i have never had an issue with it, and i have used it in lots of my pieces. i know they had issues in .223 / 5.56 with the coating on the steel cases fouling the chambers, but i also have never experienced this, and i clean the guns every time i shoot them. i guess " it depends ".
  6. cool. Joe Frazar did the video for a possible buyer in Germany. his uracco is a very early car *15176*, and a blast to drive.

well, i am now building a bolt action, suppressed .308. suppressor is a YHM Phantom. it can also be used on 5.56 and other calibers. will post some build pics as i can. all NFA laws apply.

  9. have T Mobile. still have an ancient NOKIA, and i have text messaging turned off, as i cant stand it. maybe i am just old at 38. i am fine with voicemail, and i cant browse the net at work, our security forbids it ( Government Contracts). seriously, what do you guys really, REALLY do with these super duper phones? what the heck is online that is "that" important????? just wondering.
  10. what the hell was wrong with the "other" Miura" proposal? that car was beautiful. this thing looks like a 1970s B movie prop, YUCK!
  11. .22 magnum or .17 hmr will dispatch a coyote clean at a reasonable range. i know a firearm is not the answer in Robs case, but a 30-06 or 30-30 will go a hell of a long way without a solid backstop ( thats after going through the animal .... ) so the big guns may not be safe in many areas today. too many people now. the animal are fighting back. i hope it works out. those that though coyotes were not dangerous have never been around a pissed off large dog i bet. a medium sized dog will and can kill a human with ease. a coyote , even more so.
  12. i love threads like this, congrats to you, and have lots of fun with it! it looks great !

skokos , i would look at the Winchester Defender 1300 shotguns. mine has a rail on the side, and a ammo rail on the stock. with the tube loaded, and the rails, it will hold 24 rounds of ammo. yes, abit much, but its there for emergencies! you can get different barrel lengths. mine was a Military / Police gun, so it had all the goodies on it already. i bought it at a show. like new, for under $300.00 i looked for a pic of mine, but i cant find one. i do have the ghost ring sights, and bayonet lug for a light or whatever. i would buy an older Colt Gold Cup .45 if you want a .45. Kimbers are nice, but they are based on the 1970's " Golden Age" Colt autos. i have a matched pair. i fcuking love them.
  15. get some aircraft sheet metal guys to make you one. should be cheap and easy.

    there are hypersonic aircraft now.
  18. well i can constructively add that both Jalpas i had were noisy as hell. part of me thinks its the cam chains, but the whole engine just seems like it makes a rattling sound at idle. much more noticeable when fully warmed up, yet oil pressure and temps, as well as performance , were all on par. i do know that rubber timing belts on engines in general quiet down a huge amount of noise and vibration in any given engine, and chains tend to "transmit" the sounds of the mechanical workings. with so many cars having belts now, it seems to me that many of us are just not used to the racket of the chain drives. i have had really loud gear drives on a few hot rod chevy engines, and the sounds are about the same at idle. besides, these cars are hand built and unique!!!!
