  1. WOW. leather looks like a clean hard pull broke it, Strap is not stretched, OR distended from the weight and wind. ( This not a "time" based failure) You can see upper left from the break, where its "U" shaped from hanging from the nail. Looks like the pulling load originated from the bottom left corner ( as it sits in the pics) pulling down and left. Head of the nail may have pinched and cut the leather clean, under the pulling load. Aerospace teaches ya stuff : shit happens.
  2. Glad you are ok. Got you beat: 2 weeks ago, sitting at a red light Dodge Ram in front of me quickly backs up ON TOP OF MY Ferrari 328. Currently Working with insurance, car is most likely totaled. No injuries, guy was nice, does not have enough insurance, so Hagerty is taking care of me on my policy. Whole situation sucks. I feel your pain.
  3. In Georgia we do not pay any sales tax when buying from a person in or out of State. Buy from a dealer, in or out of State and you have to pay sales tax at registration. We also have ad-velorum taxes, but on the old slow cars i buy its not that much, usually under $200.00 a year on say a 308 or 911. Classic muscle cars ( Z28, Trans Am) are $25.00.
  4. I used Redline 75-90 NS in my Jalpa. Swepco 210 is also good, but i dont recall how much " yellow metal" is in the Lambo transaxle.
  5. The Mini Draco does not have the proper rear trunnion, so that would require drilling out 4 rivets and installing the underfolder trunnion. The larger Draco, called a Draco -C all have the Romanian underfolder trunnion installed. Once the SBR Form 4 is approved, you can just open the holes up and add a side or undefolder stock. I have a YHM Phantom suppressor I am going to install on the Mini Draco and see how loud it still is. I need to order the 14x1 LH QD adapter. all NFA laws apply blah blah.
  6. Really like this site , as I live in Georgia and we watch these things closely. water temps, storm surge maps, all the various pathways shown: the name is legit. http://spaghettimodels.com/
  7. Fun if you have other guns, I have purchased 4 of these "Draco" ak47 pistols. 2 are in hard chrome. I know its in bad taste, but i think they will be collectible! Classic arms sells them: http://classicarms.us/ Really silly fun. ( be safe out there! )
  8. still watching. Thoughts and prayers for you and your whole family.
  9. Thoughts and prayers.
  10. Cool idea on the Wolf CT. i spotted a Grand National in one of those pics too, another fave of mine from the past.
  11. Get well soon. i have had major frontal sinus surgery done, TWICE. Google "drug resistant Aspergillus" . Then I had a staph infection for almost two years, in the right sinus. Ill spare all of you the details. Like I said, get well soon, and keep em clean, as the pollen is already starting down here in GA.
  12. old school 288 GTO. freaky fun: new Maserati Gran Turismo, and TT it.
  13. He needs to post pics of the 17 inch Compomotive wheels and the polished stainless exhaust. The wheels alone were $$$$ and took me over 6 months to get. He has been busy with his family and his businesses, so he may post pics later when he has time.
  14. add the weak diffs that shear the welds and cost lots to fix. I too have seen the "cheap" TR's and been tempted, but reading the repair threads on the other forum has made me gun shy. ps these vids are amazing!
  15. I bought this from an fellow L Power member, and sold it to L Power member Jfrazar, who has it for sale on bay. I have spent lots of time in the car, and its very well sorted. I just wanted to give Joe's euro Jalpa a shout , as he has a wife and a little Joe to take car of now. Michael http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1983-Lambor...=item1c18d34108
  16. Send Joe Frazar a pm, he may sell his Jalpa, its super sorted, and a nice euro spec black metallic car. He also has a new exhaust to replace the Swiss spec muffler on the car, and a full set of the 17 inch Compomotive wheels still in the boxes. i know all of this because it was my 3rd lambo, and my second Jalpa. I got tired of looking for parts, and some of the the lambo parts sellers are had to deal with . My Slopenose Turbolook is going up for sale for around $20,000. I am going back to get my Masters Degree. All my muscle cars, and my Dino Ferrari are going to be sold off as well. Jalpa have a great sound, and have a heavy, yet confident feel to them. The 911 is a bit more delicate, and the 308s are a bit "easier" to drive compared to a Uracco or Jalpa. best bet would be to have a v8 carb Ferrari / Lambo, AND a 911 / 930, but it depends on how much room you have for cars, not so much $$$$. good hunting.
  17. love certain green's on certain cars. I have a 70 RS 4 speed in a weird shade of green that really sets off the lines on the car. I can only imagine how a Diablo would look with its lines in a green metallic. really looking forward to the pics. nice to see the car was not parted out. please forgive the pic, you guys know i have a ton of cars.
  18. great thread.i just got a Galaxy S this week. still trying to learn how all this stuff works. my last phone was 8 years old!
