  1. that blue one is stunning!
  2. I just want to say that i think its awesome that you take your lambo out in the snow!!! there is such a stigma against winter driving exotics, i think they look just as cool if not cooler in the winter as they do in the summer! Nice pics & keep driving it lots.
  3. Curiosity killed my eyes! lol some people are nasty.
  4. best looking 599 i've seen...i think there kinda boring. although i think the wings sticking out from the side of the roof line towards the rear are funny looking although probably functional. i wonder if with those side wings and the duck tail rear wing if they acheive the same downforce that they would with a large rear wing traditionally found on a race car (like the SLR 722Gt's...speaking or which i wonder how those two would run against each other???)? with all these different constructors creating track only cars that usually come with a race schedule for there owners (aston, ferrari, Mclaren, lambo) they should start a constructors race series that pitted the private drivers who buy these cars in a champoinship! Hell i'd watch factory built private race versions of the 599 xx, 430 challenge, slr 722gt, vantage, gallardo, fxx, mc12, murci's ect race each other...hell that sounds better than Lemans...just class it by power to weight ratio's and then run what you brung.
  5. Who ever it was and for whatever reason was a total douche. It is a testament to just how strong the winshield is on that car taht after what looks like three attempts to smash it in that its still there holding strong. Its almost comical...i could see this loser giving it everything he had three times in a row trying to smach out the windsrceen...only to have to admit defeat and smash the side window out like a pussy...lol
  6. Not a fan. I'm not a fan of any "baby" models...especially if they are just going to capitalise on the looks of the flagship model. its pretty tough to call a Vantage from a DB9 or a DBS from 200 feet away...i'd rather not have the same problem with a Rolls.
  7. Sweet baby Jesus is right! Damn that thing is sexy and i dont even like the convertibles. i agree that more colors (red, yellow, blue, white, etc) from the factory would have sold more cars and made people think of this car in a more exotic light. Coming back a second time...the more i look at the thing the more it just pulls me in. its astonishing! ALLAN buy this car!
  8. You can take my reply with a grain of salt because i dont have a lambo (yet) and i obviously havent converted one to RWD. But if you like the driving dynamic of RWD better than AWD in your past experiences or you just want to find out if you do...i say do it. It doesnt cost that much to make the change or to change back. The perfomance of the car should not be negativly effected in fact say they have more "feel" and that the car is more alive. although you will have somewhat less traction it not like you will have none...there are TONS of cars with equal to greater HP and torque numbers come RWD from the factor and they have awesome performance. (Every Ferrari Ever, SLR's 600+hp, Vipers 450-600-1000+hp lots of guys drive 1000rwhp vipers on the street, Ford Gt's 550-1000+hp, every decent porsche read GT2, GT3, CGT's 600+hp, GT1, Zonda's, Koenigseggs, Saleens, the list goes on and on.) AWD is relatively new to lamborghini...every lambo up until the Diablo VT's was RWD, lots of owners still long for a RWD drive version alla the SV. So i say do it, the only reason i might not would be for insurance purposes if that was going to be a problem.
  9. DEAD ON. Everytime i see a new TT i think its an R8...thats only going to get worse if you see the body revisions planned for the new TTSR (or RS or whatever they call it), the front end is very R8 "light". hell even the A4 is driftin that way with its headlights. The R8 is a car I'd get for the wife (same for the Gallardo)...but then she'd tell me that she's never like the TT and isnt into this either. ( she wants a orange diablo 6.0 )
  10. hmmm...the exhuast and some of the design are overkill, but its not that bad, different wheels and stock exhuast and it could be nice.
  11. so did you get anything? look at anything? drive anything? consider anything? is $75k is still buring a whole in your pocket? I still say 2008 viper ACR, you could probably pick one up for 75-80 no problem and i honestly cannot think of how to have more fun for 75k in a brand new car.
  12. thanks...the wait is KILLING me...i've got three more months before i fly out to pick her up. i've been having dreams about blasting through canyons...and i've been making revving engine sounds while driving other cars of tamer natures. its kinda like having a girlfriend you want to f**k the hell out of, but she's on the other side of the country for three months...i'm going a little nutz.
  13. I agree with you that exclusivity is only part of the equation...i just think its a part that people often undervalue. Like you said, you could create a sexy body and slap a big engine in it and it wouldn't be worth shit (it would pretty much be a kit car). But when a set of super low production units come out of companies like Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, Alfa, Pagani, koenigsegg, bugatti, Rolls, Bentley...etc they can price exclusivity at huge premiums. Examples: FXX, Reventon, One-77, Koenigsegg's limited carbon CCXR's, pagani's R's, rolls royces ungodly convertible thing...are these cars really that much better than the models they are based on? usually they just have some different body panels and 50-200 more hp. But those differences can cost the buyer hundreds of thousands if not close to a million dollars more. Bugatti charges $50k just for a different wheel option than standard...forget about the premium a Pur sang or a Nero Sang comes with just for essentially a limited paint scheme. How much more would you pay to have one of five papaya orange Mclaren F1 gt's than just a regular one (if you can even say such a thing), despite marginal performance gains. Exclusivity is pretty much the reason exotic cars exist and its always been what will really pry big dollars out of wallets.
  14. something people seem to forget on these mega priced one off's is the extreme rarity of the car in that form. Mant think the reventon was just a big waste of time and money...but really despite no perfomance increase over the LP640, its a complete factory delivered rebody...there are only 20 in the whole world and for 1million plus thats worth it to many who realize exclusivity means much more than performance. Think what Ferrari would charge for a rebodied Enzo. a good example would be what it cost that guy to make that P4/5 out of his enzo...i heard it cost close to 4mill. Its the same reason Alfa C8's cost more than F430's and Gallardo SL's even though it would get its ass handed to it by both of them...its because there will only be 500 coupes and 500 spyders and thats it, ferrari and Lambo make more G's and F's than that in 6 months and have done so for 5 plus years. So while the Veyron would blow a Aston one-77 into the weeds in a race...there will be around 300+ Veyrons if they can sell that many...while there will only be a fraction of that many one-77's. That exclusivity costs money.
  15. Such a nice Automobile...the White and blue ones have been growing on me big time, i think its my new favorite GT color combo.
  16. Minesweeper and the Poncho kill me
  17. Not a big fan of the Conv...but I can remember you talking about your Bentley and how the only thing you wished was that it was white...if you like the conv. and white this would be your SLR. I'd rather a 722 though.
  18. Like hollywood said if you want a Ferrari and you've got $75k to spend go ahead and get a 360. I dont know if i would reccomend the highly modified route for one though...you might want to give ZR auto a call and ask them about there twin supercharged 360 spider they used to have to get some first hand opinions. On the other hand i would definetly recommend a Viper of any generation except maybe the very first ones, but anything 1996 and up for sure. Hell if you could pad that $75k a little you could be into a 2008 ACR or have serious power in a TT setup on one of the earlier cars. and besides the power they are hand built, quite reliable (even with power mods) and they only make around 1500 of them a year. Porsche, Ferrari even Lambo now all have higher production numbers than that. But of course...i'm biased.
  19. thats awesome...there arent a lot of women driving vipers. My wife will probably spend a little time behind the wheel of mine...but the clutch throw is pretty long and i'm not sure if she'ee like driving it or not...but thats for her to decide.
  20. http://blogs.carpoint.ca/2009/02/mitsubish...rally-race.html Article says Mitsubishi is pulling out of offroad racing. With Subaru already out of WRC and Mitsu looking like its hanging things up...those are two of the giants in offroad racing...I hope they come back soon.
  21. On the topic of 3M...to those who have owned a GTS before, what area's on the car would you recommend getting covered by 3M? (keep in mind i will be probably averaging 10000+ miles a year) obviously the front fascia/bumper and the headlights and fog lights...but then should i continue on and do more of the hood? the side skirts? specific area's behind the front and rear wheels? any other particular area? and any tips to mention to the installer to get a great overall end product are appreciated.
  22. WOW that is a crash...he really stuffed it in there, i hope everyone walked away. Things can get really crazy when a driver loses control and the dead weight of the car is left to its own devices.
  23. Geesh..my hands were getting sweaty just watching that crane video! and i'm not afraid of heights, thats just a Darwin award waiting to happen.
  24. Thanks for all the congrats! its always a good feeling when you get something that you've wanted for a long time. I cant wait for May to arrive...anybody know a good shop to get a 3M clear bra put on in Montreal or Toronto? I'd like to have that taken car of before the bulk of my journey. I like Vipers a lot...mostly because of there no compromise design (no tiny pointless back seats, RWD, no traction control, NA power) but especially because of there low production numbers, at 1500 or less cars per year they are such a rare sight vs. a POS @ 40,000 cars/yr or a 100,000 Porsche's/yr that all look the same to me. Even if those other cars are more technically sophisticated rarity means much more to me. Falken
