  1. On a realistic level, that is one of the yuckiest things I have ever seen.
  2. 2 more years for the G replacement? Uhg. I know they are a small company and have spent a great deal of effort bringing out the Aventador but... The G is so long in the tooth it hurts. Joe Q Public can not tell the difference between an early G and an LP-560.
  3. I always tell people that ask about a top and heater to think of it as a motorcycle with four wheels. They do suck for long drives or in inclement weather. For bombing around on Sunday morning drives I haven't found any cars that are more brutal, raw or fun for pure driving experience.
  4. You should have told that to the Ferrari guy before he lost his money. A lot of the Cobra dudes were not sure about it because so much depends on the driver of the Cobra getting the power to the ground effectively. The Ferrari is just push the buttons and hold on at launch.
  5. It was 75 degrees and altitude at Vegas. The strip had just been prepped with a fresh coat of whatever they use to make it sticky.
  6. Speaking of terrible replicas:
  7. There was a very big thread on one of the Cobra boards about a guy getting a new 458 Italia and wanting to race his buddies replica. Unlike most forum BS, this turned into a real race. Terrible music in the vid. There was some mention on the F-hat board as well.
  8. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/bfb12aea4...winning-recipes His own cooking show?
  9. Spot on (for once). This car IS the biggest rip off ever. I have seen them priced new at that kind of money. Lambo Houston had one a few years ago (not the S, just the regular 62 Lando. Why didn't they make a folding hard top? Why the soft top?
  10. This car is meant to take an the G and 458. It is an exotic, but not a hypercar like the Huayra/Veyron/Aventador/Agera/next Enzo. That car is coming down the pipe, but this isn't it. They are going to do a car under this one to take on the 911 and one above to be the successor to the F1.
  11. R8? Never been a fan, especially of the coupe. I saw an R8 V10 Spyder in a bright orange that was ok, but the car is still way down on the list. I don't think the McLaren is a beauty, but the more I look at it, the more I like it for its simplicity in design. It doesn't rely on gimicks or ad-ons. It is purposeful and athletic. For me, it just works.
  12. Do the US cars have launch control? Are you using that or just hitting the go pedal and pulling a paddle at the rpms listed?
  13. Why do you care how fast the car is? Do you know how many World Championships Ferrari has won? Can't you feel the passion and history each time you look at the shape of the car under its cover in your garage? Why are you putting miles on it? You know what that does to resale right? You should probably worry more about humidity control systems in the garage and make sure that your coffee mug is the correct shade of Rosso Corsa.
  14. Those thumbs are creep-o-licious. I wouldn't want her to touch me for fear it is contagious.
  15. I live in Utah, I guess the closest dealers are in Cali. Who do I contact about an invite to see this car and where/when is it?
  16. Yeah, he is a sick, selfish, jerk. If he partied like a rockstar during his downtime and lived the life he wanted privately that would be one thing. Screwing it up for his co-workers and more importantly the writers and average joes working in production sucks. He isn't my idol because he isn't in control. He is just a rich junky. If he was a poor junky making the same choices married to your sister you would think he was just an immature asshole. On a side note, I think it would be really funny if they hired Ozzy to finish out the season. Play exactly the same character and not mention or write any difference. It is only a few episodes... It would also be a nice poke at Chuck.
  17. There aren't many exotic/expensive/super cars that I don't like but this car is dissapointing on so many levels. They did so many things right, but they are offset by things that seem so wrong. Why are the radiators in the back? Weight distribution is probably one reason but, they had to add a bunch of scoops and grills. This means needless weight and complexity. They have the plumbing to the back of the car as well. There is very little luggage room as a result and styling that is "unique" but not in a good way. Front engine. Why put the engine in front? Why not a mid engine design? It seems by putting the engine in front and the radiators in the back that they lost out on any benefits of either design. Speaking of design, the car is ugly overall. There are a few details that look good on their own, but as far as cohesiveness, there is none. Carbon prop rod for the hood. Again, why? Why not put it on a pivot so that it can be in the same place and won't get lost or broken? The brackets to hold it in place have to weigh more then a pivot for the rod. Just seems like an after thought. They keep bragging about engineering and design ie making a machine to weave CF, but the devil is in the details. Ergonomics on the interior. The knobs and buttons seem to be in odd spots. Windshield wiper intermittent on a separate knob? Why not just put it on the stalk like every other car? Price. Why on earth would you spend that kind of cha-ching on a car that is beaten by cross town rival Nissan and the 2012 GT-R? I don't like to compare the GT-R to super-cars because there is usually so much going on behind the scenes like wonderful looks or history or some goofy intangible like passion, but in this case, both cars lack anything truly special and the performance is within driver error. The engine does seem to rev at an incredible rate.
  18. Allan, You seem fairly wealthy. You do not seem like a wealthy hair dresser. Drop the California idea.
  19. Looks like a development in Prescott. If it is, I would love to build in there. Super nice. My main concerns were what would happen when it rains hard. Just make sure that the water has a place to go instead of through your house. Plus you have access to some of the best driving roads around ie White Spar, Out to the mine etc...
  20. Wait till next year when the new engine comes out. The new interiors are really a 'step up' from last years version, but the new engine coming this fall(ish) is worth the wait. The current engine is such a dog. My buddy bought his wife a 4 door and we put on a 3" lift and 35" tires. (I wanted to do it for fun) It ended up taking us about 7 hours. That included a couple runs to the part store etc... Some of the parts seemed a little goofy so we got some different washers etc... to make things work better. The next one would take me about 4 hours. We went with the 3" Terra-Flex lift because it is just a mall cruiser and will never do serious off road. If you are going off road I would get the 4" lift with adjustable arms.
  21. The welds on the chassis look like some that I could have done. In other words they look like crap. Sheesh. You would think that after welding that much they would have gotten better.
  22. I sold a car to a guy from the Ukraine. He picked it up in Arkansas and drove it on crappy B roads to Utah. We put it in a container and shipped it to the Ukraine for him. It was a Kirkham Motorsports replica. Very nice cars. Usually about $100k when finished depending on how you spec them out. I could get you a turnkey new car if interested.
  23. Please tell us that you drove it to the Ferrari dealer, found the sales guy you talked with and told him that you just wanted to let him know he didn't need to call because you found the car you were looking for?
