  1. You have to let me know if you are going to this event. If you do, I'll definitely try to make it there to see your car!
  2. I paint metered mine before I bought it. The numbers where all over the place. Panel to panel and within a panel showed a noticable variation. Because of this, the meter almost seems useless unless the reading is significantly off the chart. Check the edges of each panel for roughness. Look for any dirt or fish eyes in the finish. If you still do not feel comfortable, find a third party reputable body shop to look at it. Best of Luck!
  3. see links to classifieds. Pete http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=46982
  4. See link. Any question, please call. Thanks, Pete 610-745-3488 http://www.xxx.com
  5. I contacted the EBay guy yesterday.... Looks like its a 1989 version, and it doesnt have the cage or harness which are tough to find... Im signing up on the DIY site.... There is a place called United Radio Service in Syracuse NY 800-634-8606. I use to use them back when we where selling car audio. They might be able to help out with parts or service if needed.
  6. This just confirms my thougts to Never buy high line cars new, only used & let someone else take the hit!! This doesn't just suck for the original owner of this SL, it sucks for all gallardo owners because this sets a benchmark price for wholesalers to use.
  7. Sorry, but I'm glad to hear this. I hope this trend continues!
  8. Supa-G Still perfect with no problems to report. I have probably had the car up to 125mph with no vibration issues. Blackbull - many tuners like Ruf use spacers. I have used them on several cars for years and never experienced any issues.
  9. You could try the place I worked at years ago. We sold a ton of them. Ask for Larry, Linda or David. 610-734-1234 Perzan Auto Radio, PA
  10. Wish I could help...Had the same radio back in the day!!
  11. http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/ I found this website very helpful when I was searching for an RS. We can all benefit if it is detailed like this showing "storied" cars and/or cars for sale, options, sales histiry etc.
  12. Looks like a great time! Car looks Killer Ron!! Notice much of an improvement with the new springs? Pete
  13. Kind of surprised it only made 580 rwhp. My buddies 06 with intake, exhaust and tune made 505 rwhp. Nice Kill!!
  14. Mine recently completed. Very happy with the results! http://s626.photobucket.com/albums/tt344/P...nt=P1010988.jpg
  15. The body of the stock shocks/struts are threaded. There are locking rings that are adjusted/spun down towards the ground. This will require a 4 wheel alignment when completed.
  16. Main Line Porsche 610-886-1000 Ask for Eric Haas - let him know I sent you. Look forward to seeing and hearing it!!

    Insurance

My non-tt SL and GT3RS are with http://www.classicins.com They are stated value policies but there are a handful of limitations. I had someone in the insurace business check them out ahead of time and he said they appear to be a good company.

  19. Thanks John! Did you have Karosserrie do the job?
  20. Mtallent- The SL is a great car although I have never tracked mine. I have lightly tracked my GT3RS at NJMP 3 times this year. If you want another opinion, I would serously look into a lightly used Lotus Exige S. I recently did a school in an Elise and had a blast in the car. Definitely not as fast as either mentioned but every bit as much fun on the track as my RS. Something to be said about a 2000LB car! I am considering one later this winter as a track tool. Also, it will cost a lot less if there are any off track excursions!
  21. I second that request!! Considering it but would like to hear it in person first.
  22. I've driven my SL in colder temps and never a problem. Not to sure why the temperature reading is so low but the battery light could be an indicator for a charging problem - altenator. The charging voltage needs to be checked with a meter to see if it is charging correctly. Does the light go off if you raise the rpm while sitting still? If it does then I would first look at the altenator.
  23. How is it from the inside of the car, does it drone? I think the car in standard from is not to loud when driving normally, how does this compare? TIA, Pete
