  1. The HRE 998R is the wheel on the G55.
  2. IMO the taser allows the most predictable outcome to a situation. When you are tased, you go down. Like Mako said, there are too many variables and scenarios that end in a negative outcome for either the girl or the officer if he tries to subdue her using physical force. The taser allows an officer to subdue a suspect without having to get close to the suspect which means one very important thing, the suspect isn't close enough to reach for the officers gun. If this girl has already kicked the officer, which you don't need to be a lawyer to know that is assaulting an officer, and she is refusing to listen and calm down after the officer draws the taser, and do you honestly think she wouldn't continue fighting if the officer grabs her? In a time when we have seen a group of 12-14 year old boys set another boy on fire over a bike, and a 15 year old girl strangled and cut the throat of a 9 year old girl to "see what it feels like to kill someone", who really knows what the hell is going on in a kids head anymore.
  3. The MTM R8 sounds fantastic and looks even better. I especially love the white padded carbon fiber seats in the MTM R8. A white R8 with lots of carbon fiber is a perfect combo.
  4. The media has tried to find hundreds of reasons why the fcuk did what he did, the only problem is they try hard to avoid the most obvious reason. Like RomanDad says, can't blame it on PTSD, he had never been deployed, he wasn't facing combat, and he sure as hell wasn't scared of the Middle East. I admittedly know very little about the ME, but Yemen would be high on my list of places to avoid if I was scared of the Middle East. Following the media's logic, if talks like a terrorist, acts like a terrortist, and believes what a terrorist believes, it must not be a terrorist. Here is a quote straight from the comments section of a presentation Hasan delivered to a group of Army Physicians in 2007, "We love death more than you love life." Check out the article here and you can view his powerpoint presentation, that quote came from slide 48.
  5. Voted again. Lexxi 39,841 Katherine 27,792 Edit - Lexxi's votes increase 8-10 everytime I refresh the poll. Katherine doesn't have a chance.
  6. 2 and 3 look great, but #1 looks the best by far IMO. I think you subconsciously put the first wheel as #1 for a reason. Painting the calipers orange would look great too.
  7. His books are great, Red Cell was my favorite, followed by his first book Rogue Warrior. If a fraction of the stuff in his books actually happens, he is truly an unbelivable SEAL.
  8. If he is talking about Peter2's car, this is it. The car is in Miami, so I don't know if that helps.

    Jersey Shore

The whole show is a joke, the guidos just don't realize it. What the hell is with the guy sucking his cheeks in like he has a lemon wedge in his mouth? I know there was the other thread making fun of guys that look like this, but I had no idea there is enough of these douche bags to make a show. Douche bag really doesn't even begin to describe these over juiced, over gelled, oversize Oompa Loompas, these clowns are on a whole new level. I am just old enough to remember when MTV actually played music, how I miss those days.
  10. Peter2's 6.0??? If so, that one is a beauty from the pictures that have been posted, and I don't even like Yellow Lambos.

    Jersey Shore

They call it a reality show, I call it comedy. Either way, MTV is adding another show to their lineup of everything but music television. This video made my day.
  12. According to this story, the victims friend stated none of the 4 officers were patrolling the school grounds which sounds true since the rape went on for over 2 hours on school grounds. The teen also mentioned the school security guards weren't checking IDs to make sure people at the school had a reason to be there, and the assistant principal saw the group of non students near the gym, and did nothing about it. From what the victim's friends said, there are a lot of people with serious explaining to do after they are fired. There is nothing I can say about this that hasn't already been said. Hopefully justice will be served, but since Cali can't afford to keep these kinds of animals in prison and with no death penalty for this crime, I have my doubts.
  13. Its pine tar. It is very sticky and allows you to get a better grip on a wood bat. Players will usually wipe some on their bat, just above the handle, but below the barrell. They will grab that spot on the bat to get a little tar on their batting gloves to improve their grip. The tar is dark colored and sticky as hell, whatever it touches, it leaves a mark. If the player touches the tar on his bat and then adjusts his helmet, the helmet is going to be stained. Clearly some players use a lot more tar than others.
  14. Very nice, what color is that?
  15. When I was an in my early teens, I said something I shouldn't have to my mom, and before I could finish the sentence, my mom slapped me across the face so hard I saw stars. My mom was half my size and she had never slapped or spanked me before, but that one smack was all it took to keep me in check. I never disrespected my mom again. I only remember my dad spanking me once when I was little, the fear of it happening a second time kept me in line. NuclearJack is dead on, kids know they can get away with anything. Either the parents are too stupid to realize their kid is a shithead, or the kid will threaten to call the police and say their parents are beating them. Teenagers, although very dumb do realize most people won't do anything. Is Skokos going to leave his little boy to scare a punk kid? Not a chance, the kid knows he is safe to say whatever he thinks will make him look cool and edgy in front of his girlfriend.
  16. That was my thought exactly. If I hear someone in my house, 1st step is to grab the gun and the 2nd step is to tell my wife to call 911. Step 2 serves the purpose of getting help on the way and more importantly verifies that my wife is next to me and not walking around the house in the dark. If my wife is in bed, I know the person in the hallway isn't welcome and probably isn't there to borrow sugar. Swil, as far as having kids that come home late at night, they should know not to come home and sneak around in the dark. When I was old enough to come home after my dad was asleep, I always made plenty of noise and turned on lights as I walked through the house. It allowed my dad to know I made it home safely and also made sure he dad didn't mistake me for a criminal since he slept with a shotgun within reach of his bed.
  17. P90X is incredibly effective. I was exercising a few times a week, so I was in ok shape for me when I started the 1st 90 day phase. The first 2 weeks killed me, I was popping Alleve like they were Tic-Tacs. I wasn't sure how well the program would work because it was an infomercial, so naturally I was hesitant, but I got immediate results. Along with the shedding weight, my energy level increased, I slept soundly at night, and I just felt better in general. A friend of mine that started P90X lost just under 30lbs in the first 90 days. He didn't look like the people on the infomercial, but his results were significant and he has continued following the program. One thing I have always hated about exercising, is cardio. P90X incorporates cardio work, but using plyometrics and kenpo karate, instead of jogging or getting on the eliptical runner. I didn't bother with any of the supplements they recommended, I just followed the diet and took a multivitamin. The diet is the same thing you usually hear, plenty of protein, good carbs, proper portions, and healthy snacks between meals. Like Topcarbon said, drink a lot of water. The best thing about P90X is it is constantly switches routines and exercises so you don't plateau and you don't get bored. Each workout phase last 4 weeks, consisting of 3 weeks of intense training, and the 4th week is a recovery week. The recovery week is still harder than most workouts I have done prior to P90X. The 2nd phase changes up the back, chest, and arm workouts. The final phase blends phases 1 and 2. Throughout the 90 days cycle, the lower body/back work out never changes, neither do the yoga, plyometrics, or kenpo workouts. Yoga is incredibly difficult, there is nothing girly about yoga. Almost forgot, 3 times a week you have Ab Ripper, which is just over 300 reps of different ab and core exercises in 15 minutes. You don't end up with a 6 pack, you finish with more like an 8 pack. Before starting, I PM'd AKA Cartman as he has also done P90X, so you might PM him and see if he has anything to add.
  18. If that is the house you moved out of, I can't even imagine what your new house is like....
  19. I have only given one best man speech, but I followed that formula and it went very well. Make fun of the groom, say nice things about the bride, and it will go well.
  20. The problem people that pick the annuity run into is they spend more than they receive from the annuity payout, and they begin taking out loans against future annuity payments in order to cover bills. Eventually they end up with the same result as the people that take the lump sum and eat through the principal, POOR.
  21. Very nice. Great color choice.
  22. I am not a fan of the Rocker C in stock form, but your bike is amazing especially in the single seat setup. Quick question, where is the front brake? I see a big ass rear rotor, I see the front brake lever and cable, but no front brake. Is there some sort of brake built into the front hub?
  23. That is a great looking springer. I love it almost as much as the RSP Supra behind it.
