  1. I am worried about my CT, not from this fire, but perhaps a later one. Can you imagine? More than 50 homes have already burned to the ground today in South Lake Tahoe. Any nice cars in garages - GONE!!! It has been a VERY dry winter and it is a windy day, fire started at 1:30 p.m. and now is going off. No one hurt, but lots of damage!
  2. if you wish, give me an idea of roughly how much you have to spend, number of miles annually and for how many years, what expectations you require, ie seating for 2 or 4? ABS? stuff like that, and I will advise you on a few options that will be a sound investment, look phenomenal, and go like a rocket.....a few (Ralph already got started are mentioning some intelligent 'alternatives') - this board has plenty of expertise when it comes to CARS!!! You can consider all these opinions, there may be a car you haven't thought of???
  3. voted Aston, and sure wasn't alone. Obvious best choice!!!
  4. CT's just look bad ASS!!! Damn! That photo says a lot!
  5. I thought I might know, but have no clue, but that fat chick better not leave some modified Scaglietti? Michelotti? bodywork on it, get your PHAT ARSE off the car, or at least be a naked fat chick
  6. some recent photos of my new baby..... EVERY single part on this car was refurbished (chromed, powder coated, polished, or replaced with new), down to each and every screw, it is extremely tight and clean. A VERY fun car to drive!
  7. I drive a Range Rover - albeit it is an old school one, but I love it. I live in Tahoe where winter storms are intense and it is the perfect car for me. My good friend has a Cayenne so I am a passenger and have driven it a lot as well (I am often designated driver). The Porsche kicks the RR ass as stated by others in ALL the performance categories....but I still like the looks of the RR WAY MORE - Cayenne's are just UGLY! Consider a well kept old school RR - mine has all the bells and whistles, navigation, etc. I put fresh Bilstein's on it, heavy duty springs and oversized all-terrain ta's on it and it has a GREAT LOOK - see photos, also my buddy's Cayenne parked close to the CT. I do like the RR sport supercharged - looks nice!
  8. what a horrible thing to do! But it looks fking COOL! ......remember fking can mean freaking!!
  9. good find Ralph, I am learning about Porsche's here on Lambo-Power Is the car HOME yet? Photos!!!!
  10. I am doing my usual surf around tonite and realizing there are all of a sudden an excessive number of CT's for sale on ebay. I then went over to Alfa Romeo and there are about 20 recent Alfa's added in the last hour....and then I figured it out. Ebay is having a 'special' right now where you list your car for a buck or something to that effect. Their promo is working!
  11. fyi - most I have seen there in a while. and there is even a kit car CT - something for everyone!
  12. your motor looks sweet!!!!!!!!!! WOW
  13. am I alone in my thinking, but I just LOVE the look and 'rawness' of the first generation 930's - all the performance and refinement of the newer generation FAST Porsche's is just great, but NOTHING like the flared wheel wells and tabletop whaletail cars of the 70's - 80's!!! I am sure that car kicks ass - my son would quote me the horsepower and remind me it would outgun even my CT, etc. etc. a phenomenal car!
  14. o/t In 2004, I looked into the Viper Green 2002 Murcielago (X-Missy Elliot), that is now advertised on eBay. At the time, it was in Fox Valley's inventory. I assume someone must have driven the car in reverse, because it now has less miles ! Ralph, I mentioned this on the gallardo/chick crash thread. There was talk about chicks that can afford exotics, etc.....I remember Missy Elliot featured on MTV cribs with her lime green Murci and if I remember correctly didn't she have a Lambo BED or some crazy ass thing??? If the factory built her that bed - I WANT IT!!!
  15. I spent the past 6 months, not only remodeling my damaged home, but searching pretty much from LA to northern Cali, to look at Alfa Romeo's (from Guilia's to any spyder really) and Porsche 930's. I landed a nice 930 back a few months ago and posted photos.....now just the last few weeks I stumbled on to an AMAZING little Alfa Spider that was painstakingly restored by a TRUE Alfisti. I read the threads, studied the photos and just knew it was something special. I boldly flew down to LA on Sunday with enough $$ to meet his asking price IF the car was what I thought it was. I was paying probably the highest price ever for a series 2 spider, but felt it still might be a good buy.... have a look at these threads......you may not be able to view photos unless you are a member, so I will eventually take detailed photos of it for you since I bought it!! http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/showthread.php?t=43167 http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/showthread.php?t=2787 all I can say is WOW - I flew in, spent 15 minutes buying the car and then jumped in it and drove 500 miles in 7 hours, with 2 meal stops and 1 fuel stop, dodging CHP's and NHP's on an amazingly beautiful scenic drive through the eastern sierra's. The car is a freakin GAS - I recommend everyone find one!! I also got 29 miles to the gallon - a little better than the CT!! Now I have to stop buying CARS - help me, I NEED help!!!! Here is a photo that I know you can at least see....doesn't do it any justice - it is over the top amazing...for example the owner spent two years just prepping the body for paint!!
  16. Tom, your car is a WOW car!! You are correct, cost well over 100g's when new, has amazing performance left factory original, made in small numbers, and low mileage!! Hell yeah, you have a great car! You just had to add that it is a cabriolet!!! Post photos after you get her home and detail it up.
  17. Tom, you may want to check back we discussed these cars on this thread....mostly on page 2 and 3 http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21127
  18. nice acquisition!! Congrats! I love the slantnose - just a little too rich $$ right now for my car budget. I just picked up an 86 930 - a few months ago now. It is my 4th 930 - I obviously love them. I always describe them as the closest thing to a manageable race car with a luxury cockpit. They are just great drivers! BMWRACER described the driving concerns beautifully - well done. I found a black 78 ruf modified black on black slantnose at Sloans that is just beautiful, but asking $65K - like I said too rich for my car habit.....but I would love to have it!! Guardsman red is a great color - enjoy your ride. The mileage on your car is amazingly low, nice find!! oops just checked Sloans and the car I referred to is NOT a slant! sorry - and shame, it would REALLY be nice if it was!
  19. What are your impressions of it? What was the price you paid if you don't mind me asking - converted to US $$ please?
  20. fyi....just surfing around and found my car cover on this special CT in Europe. http://www.countach.ch/cover.html for comparison.. Perhaps these are available over there more readily? I am sure with the f-ed up exchange rate, the cover would cost a lot of US $$ over in Europe anyway, but perhaps someone travelling can look these up over there? The small duffle bag that the cover arrived in reads....copriauto di prestigio COVERCAR by Andrea
  21. Best thing to do is advertise your exotic for sale in euros or Canadian loonies!!
  22. WTF? I want it at that price!!!
  23. :iamwithstupid: Mangusta's rock. Gorgeous car!
  24. I may be a little biased, but there is NO COMPARISON - just LOOK at them!!! I like the Pantera too.
