I'm a recent member of the 40's club so the doc tells me my eyes are undergoing a significant change and will degrade quite a bit in the next 5-10 years. Maybe Lasik later but I'm not a fan of permanent aftermarket mods to my factory equipment. I've resigned myself to getting glasses since I've been limping along with readers for 2 years but I don't want a piece of crap frame and I don't want to get suckered into spending a gob on a special boutique brand that nobody can recommend.

So I'm old now and have to get my first pair of glasses. Anyone heard of or use Lindberg frames?

if it's windows 7 or newer, try family safety...you can manage it all as a "parent"...btw, the free upgrade to windows 10 will enhance the controls

I want to register 1 car in Georgia (just got a place here) but keep 1 car in Florida (registered there)...Is there anything I need to know? I don't want to get pulled over if I'm driving the Florida car in Georgia and have any issues. Landmines?

So the time has come and I will be moving to an apartment near Atlanta (Peachtree City) until I find something a little more permanent. I need an alarm that I can set up in an apartment that doesn't allow you to violate the walls and install your own. I've called ADT but can't get a ballpark unless they look at the apartment. Any recommendations or ideas what it would take to have a monitored (no landline) wireless system with 2 doors and 3 windows (no motion).

I would be working really close to the airport. need to find somewhere decent to rent for a while until I get my bearings and wife get's a job. Recommendations? Can't break the bank but need to avoid graffiti and 24" wheeled Camry's.

moving from Jupiter, FL to S Atlanta (not sure where yet)

Need some help. I may be transitioning to a new area and don't want to sell my house. It's managed by an HOA outside so I don't think I need a property manager to handle the inside stuff. I will be 500 miles away so I could be wrong since I can't just pop by and fix stuff. Do I need a property management company, what do they do/charge? Do I just contact a real estate agency to handle the rental contracts and renter interviews? I don't think I'm going to have a lot of time once this ball starts rolling so any advice is greatly appreciated.

I guess I should clarify...It's something I remember being told when I was young so it's burned into my brain like sitting too close to the TV makes you cross-eyed. As for the lack of ice: When I was young, my dad would interrogate me and my 2 sisters to find out who didn't refill the ice trays so I decided to abstain from ice (remember I said I was stubborn) so I could be instantly innocent. Anyway, it stuck with me and now I prefer warm drinks.

Mine deals with my decision but doesn't support/interfere. She enjoys a good wine and she wishes I would enjoy it with her. Occasionally it adds friction but mostly it's fine.

It's funny what you hear/learn. I don't put ice in my water (always drink room temp)...I was told that cold beverages cool/congeal the oil/grease in the food you are consuming.

wife loves fizzy water...let me know (might make a good gift for when I need to get of the doghouse)

It's funny how others are more uncomfortable with the no drink thing than I am so in a pinch I'll use ginger ale at business functions until the ice is broken. What is the pictured appliance? (I pretty much always drink water...no coffee, soda, tea...occasional OJ if I get a cold)

never had a drop. Grandad was an aggressive drinker so it left an impression. It has a lot of pluses and minuses but I'm stubborn so I'm staying dry to the grave.
