  1. I feel like a red Lamborghini is like an extra "F-you" to the Ferrari crew. Diablo looks great on those Hercules wheels. I actually think that they look better on Diablo than Murcielago.
  2. Thanks. Really hope that it isn't the window control ECU; that part is over $1,400.00 now.
  3. 3 week service visit going on 9 months now. We must have shorted something when the interior was out since neither window is working (both were fine before). Looking for a wiring diagram for the electric windows. Any help greatly appreciated. TIA.
  4. I've been saying this line on here for 10 years and I'll say it again: Whe it comes to true exotics, you're buying the car - not the dealer. Sure if it's an 8 year old Gallardo you've got plenty to pick from. But something rare like a gated Murcielago? If you want that particular one for whatever reason (condition/miles/year/color/etc) - you get your hands dirty one way or another. Find out what's up with the car - fast. Someone else might beat you to it and then all you'll have is regret. Get a PPI. Chances are you buy the one car if it's older/rare and don't have dealings with the seller again. There was a classic I've been looking for on and off again for 25 years (not an exotic). When I found one with 2,000 miles on it but that the dealer had one of the absolute worst reputations, I was on an airplane to Port Huron, MI in no time with cash. Lined-up a flatbed once I landed. Checked the car out, made the deal, and flat-bedded it out on the spot.
  5. Plenty of reasons. Consigned car that they don't have much to make on (but appreciate the free eye candy on their floor). Pending deals. Deals with financing issues. And sometimes a car is really gone but they keep it on social media for the attention.
  6. Realize that you are looking at a car and not parts, but I really like Kevin in their parts department. Goes out of his way, above and beyond in-terms of getting answers as well as service. Also like Miami though they get higher pricing (hey - if they can get it, that's Capitalism). I don't care for Lamborghini Broward. Still laughing at them for letting that orange Murcielago SV slip through their hands last year.
  7. Yes I looked at the pictures. Who said it wasn't repairable? A hole like that isn't difficult to fix. If it's center-bent, then it's irreparable. Or at-least, not worth it. A hole like that isn't a big deal.
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/272755879244 CAVEAT: This is not me and I do not know this seller.
  9. You could just take yours out and bring them to a body shop. All they have to do is sand off the tint and then re-clear. I've seen it done.
  10. It's an 18 year old car. And I hate leaks. So every piece of rubber or gasket is being replaced because I don't like see power steering fluid, or oil, or gear oil, or coolant, or anything else on the ground after I park. Leaks are one type of concern that driving more won't help. It's age-related. Rebuilt all 6 Konis. Maybe driving it more would have helped. But I can't imagine shocks lasting 18 years and still feeling 'good'. A/C issues. Decided to shim the valves. Horn buttons deteriorated. This is off the top of my head. There's been a whole litany of items such as-this. Look, I could have owned it and driven it as-is, but that's not my style.
  11. There is a whole family of PZero tires, at-least 18 here alone: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/pirelli-tires.jsp And that's not factoring in, that they change a given model over it's life but don't always rename it. Just 2 years ago they rolled out a new "P Zero" (just P Zero) that has a different tread pattern than the immediately prior P Zero. Imagine buying one tire to replace one that is damaged; they won't match.
  12. So true. Bought a 99 SV last September for strong $ - very low and documented miles (around 6k I think; I haven't see it in so long that I forgot). Well a 3 week service visit is going on 9 months now. It's the 'age' items that are the problem. And I don't care how much you drive your car; driving it 100k miles won't make the bushings/gaskets/rubber last any longer.
  13. This is a stretch, but does anyone have or know where I can get a wiring diagram for a 1999 Diablo (SV)? Tried to replace the door lock actuators and the factory's 'retrofit kit' with the Murcielago door locks simply doesn't work; have gotten them to admit that, now. So I'm having a vintage electronics expert rebuild the originals, and he's asking. At the very least, he's asking what each of the 5 wires coming out of it, goes to. Any help would be really appreciated.
  14. Agree with Whiteout 1000%. I can't help but think that going to AWD in the mid-90's wasn't brought on by the lawyers, to keep drivers safer from rear engine vehicle antics and bad p.r. that would result.
  15. Mike is the Man. Hooked me up plenty of times.
  16. I've seen their work and it's great. And I like to support local, family-owned businesses like this one that's been around since the early 80's. But aside from the absolutely insane price they quoted me to do the interior on my Diablo - she actually had the nerve to say that they'd be using "Four, maybe five hides". Are you f-ing kidding me? Had it done elsewhere. Used two hides (including the dash, which I hadn't told her to quote on) and still had material left over. Shame on her - even by South Florida standards.
  17. Sorry for you, Abolfaz. I wanted a spare (my car only came with one) and did this very thing, about 3 months ago.
  18. See pix. I don't know. Story is that there are several cars in the collection including an old Cadillac that the collector wants to sell, all at once.
  19. My sincere congratulations. Likely someone put far more money and sweat-equity into creating that Jaguar, than he received back. Enjoy.
  20. The factory Lamborghini part "Vanadium" http://ebay.com/itm/172372478464
  21. There's a purple one in play, now. $300k. Supposedly not authentic, wrong bumpers, and hit. We'll see if that one continues to show up on the radar.
  22. Don't buy a remote anywhere else. It will already be programmed and cannot be reprogrammed to your car.. Bring serial number off of Medcode brain on your vehicle and your registration to a Lamborghini dealer. They'll sell you a new remote for a couple hundred bucks, already programmed. Whole systems is like $2500 I think so obviously try to get just the remote. Takes a few weeks to receive from Italy. Good luck.
  23. Not sure how important performance is for you, but increasing unsprung weight is a performance killer. I mention this - because I'm surprised at just how light, the Murcielago SV wheels are. Granted at 18" - there's literally less wheel to have to make. But beyond that, between the design as well as the forged construction, they're really lightweight. That's great for performance. I strongly considered repurposing this set for my own use on my personal 99 SV that I've been servicing as well as modding for the past 6 months. Ultimately, decided to do something with the wheels that was way harder to accomplish, but more interesting to me. Also, more performance is not my priority for this vehicle.
